Abstract

Laston is a mixture of long graded asphalt heat which consists of coarse, medium and fine aggregates. This mixture is called hot mix asphalt (hot mix asphalt) made or mixed in heat. In this mixture uses cellulose fibers derived from water hyacinth to find out whether water hyacinth fiber can be used as a mixture of hot asphalt and as a substitute for cellulose fibers in the market.In this study, the laboratory experimental research method is used to conduct experimental activities to produce a result of water hyacinth fiber mixing with Marshall Properties. The purpose of this study is to compare the results obtained at the optimum levels in the specifications of SNI 03-1737-1989 laston type II, with the addition of water hyacinth fiber variations of 0.3%, 0.5%, 0.7% taken from asphalt content .The final result of this research was Marshall evaluation which was obtained for the stability of 837 kg on 0.5% water hyacinth fiber content, 3.63 mm flow on 0.3% water hyacinth fiber content, Marshall Quotient 236.93 kg / mm in fiber content water hyacinth 0.7%, VIM 4.16% on water hyacinth fiber content 0.7%, VMA 16.68% on the water hyacinth fiber content of 07%, VFWA 75.70% on the level of water hyacinth 0.3% still meet the specifications limit. These results indicate that water hyacinth fiber can be used in a mixture of type II asphalt concrete (Laston) layers.

Abstract

Basically, concrete has some basic characteristics, thoseare strong to the compressive stress and weak to the tensile stress. The compressive strength of the concrete is influenced by the type of constituent material. If the constituent material is good, solid, then it will produce a concrete that has a high compressive strength. In this case it is planned by adding mountain gravel from Mantup District and natural fiber from water hyacinth at 0%, 4%, 6%, and 8% on concrete compressive strength. This research usesexperimentalmethod, where the gravel from Mantup replaces the common gravel and addition of water hyacinth fiber calculated from the proportion of cement weight used. By using cylindrical test object, it is made 3 test objects for each percentage sample of water hyacinth fiber, so that the result of concrete compressive strength obtained later can be compared to the results. Based on the concrete compressive strength test, the scores of compressive strength in the age of 7 days which then correlated to the age of  28 days ie 0% (9,30Mpa), 4% (6,61 Mpa), 6% (5,66 Mpa), and 8% (3,77 Mpa).

Abstract

The wall is one of the non-structural elements contained in a building or house. Red brick is the main material that is often used and technological developments in the field of Civil Engineering continue to go hand in hand with the needs of the people who prioritize comfort, especially regarding their place of residence. Therefore, light brick is created so that it can lighten the structural load of a construction building, speed up the implementation, and minimize the remaining material that occurs during the wall installation process. This study aims to determine the comparison of the cost of carrying out the work of a pair of walls between the work of wall pairs using lightweight brick material with the work of wall pairs using red brick material. The object of this field study is the type 36 house construction project, the new beautiful Griya Suci housing, Jl. KH Syafi'I, Manyar, Gresik regency, East Java 61124. The study used a comparative descriptive study, which compares the costs between the implementation of a light brick wall worker and red brick. To get accurate data can be done by observation, interviews, documentation and through library books. Based on the results of this field study: (1) From the results of the study obtained the cost of materials for lightweight masonry is Rp. 92,134.- while for a pair of red brick walls Rp. 69.925.- (2) The wage cost of a lightweight brick wall pair is Rp. 40,300. While a red brick wall pair is 48,400. (3) Difference in the cost of a lightweight brick and red brick wage Rp. 14,109. red brick wall pair Rp. 22,209.-. From the regression relationship between time duration and cost, the equation Y = 8100 x + 7900 with R2 = 1 is obtained. This study can be concluded that the comparison of the work of installing light brick walls is cheaper than using red brick.

Abstract

Road is one of the most important transportation infrastructures in the development progress of society's live. Pavement structure has an important role in providing optimal service. Traffic loads that exceed the limit conditions often occur,for there is a certain consideration in planning the asphalt mixture, including improving the asphalt quality. The idea to modify asphalt materials with admixture materials is expected to enlarge the asphalt attachment energy to the stone. One of them is using water hyacinth fiber. This study aims to find out the effect of water hyacinth fiber addition to the characteristics of Type V SNI 03-1737-1989 asphalt concrete mixture on the Marshall test index. The method used is experimental method. Laboratory testing is conducted using water hyacinth fiber to the mixture of Type VSNI 03-1737-1989 asphalt concrete as the aditional material with variations of 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3% of total asphalt weight in the mixture on asphalt condition optimum 5.72%. The results of Marshall Stability increases by 5.88%, plastic melting (flow) increases by 9%,void in the mix increases by 38.59%, void filled with asphalt decreases by6.54%, void in mineral aggregate increases by 5.60%, the density of the mixture increases by 2.59% and Marshall Quotient decreases by 3.38%.

Abstract

Road is the land transportation that has an important role to facilitate all human activities, while tropical climate condition such as in Indonesia causes damage to the road. To engineer the hot asphalt mixture in order to have high durability, especially in Type IV Asphalt Concrete, it needs additional material to it, such as roadcel-50 cellulose fiber. However, it is considered not economical because the cellulose fiber made by the factory is quite expensive. Therefore, the researcher wants to replace it with water hyacinth fiber obtained from the river in the area of Dinoyo, Deket District, Lamongan Regency that not yet widely utilized. The mixing process of Type IV Asphalt Concrete with water hyacinth additional material starts from preparing the tools and materials, making the simple water hyacinth fiber, examining the stacking materials (including examining the coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and asphalt), making Job Mix Formula of Tipe IV Asphalt Concerete and making the test objects of Type IV Asphalt Concerete. From the results of Marshall Test, the researcher analyzed the results with regression analysis. The results obtain 6 characteristics that meet the standard with water hyacinth mixing, those are marshall stability of voids mineral aggregate, voids in mix, density, flow, and marshall quotient with the addition of an ideal water hyacinth fiber variation of  0,02% - 0,06%. While on the voids filled with asphalt test on Marshall Test obtained the result that does not meet the requirements, but it does not matter to the whole result.

Abstract

Lamongan is a developing city, as well as its development sector. Either simple or high technology development cannot avoid the workplace accidents risk. Therefor, implementing safety and health management is very important because it can create a good and safe working environment. However,it will not work if there is no commitment from all parties involved in the project. The purpose of this study is to assess the application of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) management system.This study uses questionnaire data. The respondents are from the employers of Lamongan District Office building project. This study uses SPSS program and uses validity and reliability test.The result of this research is that the project has implemented K3 well, although there are still some obstacles to its implementation. From the questionnaire result, it proves that more than 50% of the respondents choose to agree with the statement in the questionnaire submitted by the researcher. The test questionnaire is valid and reliable with Cronbach Alpha ranging from 0.617-0.867 which means greater than 0.60.

Abstract

In the world of construction services, labor productivity is one of the critical success factors of a development project. In measuring the level of labor productivity there are various ways, one of which is to examine thelevel of LUR (Labor Utilitation Rate) of each worker, which examines to what level of effectiveness of workers in the work. The magnitude of the level of labor productivity is influenced by many factors, such as age, work experience, education level, wage conformity, number of family dependents, worker health, inter-worker relationship, managerial and work group compositionThe research was conducted in Dr. Hospital's development project. Soegiri Lamongan. The research was conducted by observing the productivity level of 20 workers and accompanied by filling the questionnaire. Observation of productivity level (LUR) conducted for 3 days on each worker. From the results of data collection, both productivity data and questionnaires performed data processing process with the help of MS program computer. Excel.From the analysis of data that has been done can be seen that the level of productivity (LUR) of the average worker on brick work in the building project Dr. Hospital. Soegiri of 75.83%, it means quite productive because more than 50%. Variables that have been determined in fact significasinya <0.005 (sig required) then the simulatan have an effect on the level of productivity.The predetermined variable that is age, work experience, education level, wage appropriateness, number of family dependent, worker health, inter-worker relationship, managerial and work group composition simultaneously have a significant influence on the productivity of the masonry work. Partially or individually variables that have a significant influence on the level of labor productivity is the variable age and work experience variables.
