Abstract

Steel construction work generally requires a maximum power that can be retained by a cross-section of the burden, so for that we need a large enough cross-section to carry the load. In an attempt to overcome this problem, created a new profile as needed, so that the use of a cross-section Walled Beams Plates Plates Full or often called Girder (Girder Plate). Fully walled plate girder is a beam with a high cross-section, so it is probably influenced by the folding wings on plate element or the element plates bend the body, so that the necessary calculations to solve the folding and buckling. To overcome this happens folding or bending, buckling calculations required lokak (local buckling) and if it is necessary, then the component mounted stiffeners (stiffener), Bearing stiffener, Intermediate stiffener, and Longitudinal stiffener. To meet the needs of the beams to support the existing load, so he found a full-walled beam size plate (Plate Girder) d = 1,400 mm high, with a weight plate size 15 mm x 1350 mm, and the wing plate size 25 mm x 500 mm of steel fy = 240 MPa. Abstract

Now days, Indonesia gets much the using of coal as alternative energy  because increased of oil price and increased  demand  in the  country. The expected production of coal in 2010 at about 230  million tons, where  68.5 million tons for local needs (45-46 million tons for electric power plant). Sumatera Selatan province is one of coal resources province in Indonesia and also has electric power plant have to promoted the utilizing of polluted material from electricity power plant. Industry electric coal power plant produced 5% polluted  as fly ash and bottom ash, where 10-20% as bottom ash and as 80-90% fly ash. That polluted  can be utilized as additives material   in soil stabilization for road construction.  This publication proposes an assessment of the utilization of lime, Portland cement (PC), fly ash as stabilizer of soft sub grades material in highway construction. The research conducts various contents of fly ash to different types of clay soils from various sites in Kuantan. The compaction tests and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests were applied in soil samples to estimate the optimum mixture design. The samples were set up by mixing soil samples with various content of fly ash and at optimum water content. The accomplishment of sub-grade stabilization depends on the engineering properties of soils and characteristic of additives. The laboratory result shows that the strength gain in stabilization mainly depends on two factors: additives content and molding water content. The variation content of fly ash and were 4%, 8% and 12% by total weight.Keywords: Sustainable, Engineering Properties of Soil, Soil Stabilization, CBR

Abstract

The development of the city is a manifestation of space requirements due to the growth of population with all its activities. To meet the needs of the space to run well, it would require a regulation that was called as spatial policies. Policies for spatial development are formulated as development guideline to realize an efficient and economical land use and able to ensure all stakeholders' interests in it. In the Palembang City, the government develop Jakabaring Region which the majority of its topography is tidal marsh. Since the late 90s, this area was developed by the government in stages. From this research we can note that the process of implementation of development policies Regions Jakabaring wasn’t going well, eventually occurred was sporadically policies  implementation because of inconsistencies between the comprehensive plan with the piecemeal implementation / partial. It happened because the policy that was implemented only follow the development progress. So, each available layout plan was often revised, when being not in accordance with the implementation that was carried out.  And the last, the implementation of Jakabaring Region’s development policies isn’t work well because of policies implementation that have been prepared not accompanied by strong control on development.Keywords: Implementation, policy, spatial planning, development

Abstract

Flooding is a serious problem for last time that hit several regions in Indonesia, either urban or rural areas. Palembang city suffered  a loss of nearly 1.5 billion dollars per year, due to damage to public infrastructure and households, especially in low lying areas, such as Bendung watershed, Buah watershed, and Lambidaro watershed (Putranto and Popy, 2009, Hamiem, 2012). Almost 52% of the area of Palembang City is a swamp area with some type of swamp, marsh are flooded throughout the year, shortly stagnant swamp when it rains, flooded swamps and tidal current occurs. To map areas vulnerable to inundation or flooding in the sub watershed system, the analysis needs to be performed using a multi criteria approach of some of the parameters that affect flooding. For the analysis problem in susceptible areas to flooding in the Buah subwatershed. The results of this study showed  that the inundation height of 20-40 cmand a pool of up to 3 hours long. Location inundation accurred in Jalan Urip Sumoharjo close to residential Ajendam, Kenten Permai, SMU Bina Warga, Rama Kasih, Griya Sekojo and mosque of Arafura. Results of Multi-Criteria analysis to show the distribution of vulnerable runoff coefficient of 0.7, which means rainfall that falls to just 30% Buah Watershed whereas infiltered into the runoff by 70%.Keywords : Multi-spatial, Flood, DUFLOW, early warning

Abstract

The research about urban design within sustainable development system in Chicago descripts about environmental planning, renewable energy, to be appropriated with economic development that is going on in the city. Sustainability planning in the first skyscraper city in the world began with Heat Wave tragedy that caused by the global warming effect on 1995 having 3 eminent programmes, include Chicago Climate Action Plan, Chicago Green Roof Program, and Chicago Conservation Corps. The earnestly of this city on sustainable development showed from the unceasing and effectively city strategies and ordinances that launched by the Chicago government, also the departments is very massive to support sustainable development. Fund incentive, technical support, and great enthusiasm is totally given to the Chicago inhabitants. The research method that used to explain this research is content analysis. The environment responsibility showed on Chicago city  government’s care for the aspect of waste, water, green roof, land, and tenant aggrement. The economic opportunities showed on Chicago city  government’s care for the aspect of transportation, air, and energy. The social equity principal showed by Chicago city  government’s actions with made a rehabilitations for slum areas, make research about housing and job opportunities, made a coalition for comprehensive education fund intercities, and made a Chicago conservation corps.Keywords: sustainable development, city, environment, resource, policy

Abstract

The CORS GNSS station can be used as a reference point in determining relative positions in both real time and post processing. This reference point is used for the measurement of points on the surface of the earth. In this measurement requires a high accuracy that is up to a fraction of a millimeter. In this research, GNSS CORS station which is used is GNSS CORS GMU1 which has been operated since 2009 which is located in Engineering Faculty Building of Department of Geodesy Engineering (Level Three) Universitas Gadjad Mada Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study redefined the coordinates of GNSS CORS GMU1 using GNSS observation data for seven days from July 14, 2012 until July 20, 2012 using a combination of IGS and regional global bundle points. The tipping points of IGS global station used in this research are DGAR, GUAM, IISC, KARR, KUNM, PIMO, and TOW2. While the binding point of Regional station used is BAKO, CJPR, CDNP, CSRJ, SAMP, CBAL and CBIT. Data processing using scientific software GAMIT / GLOBK. The result of this research is 3D cartesian coordinate value from GNSS CORS GMU1 station in 2012 and its position speed. Coordinate of processing result that is X (m) = -2200206,97088 m ± 26,08 mm; Y (m) = 5924895,45433 m ± 26,30 mm; Z (m) = -855932,55993 m ± 192,51 mm. It can be seen that the standard deviation resulting from the combined processing of bundle points of Global IGS and regional stations is up to millimeter fraction. Speed position of GNSS CORS GMU1 station in 2012, that is VX = 0,02907 m / year ± 0.25410 m; Vy = 0.13655 m / year ± 0.47235 m; Vz = -0.07798 m / year ± 1.39 m.Keywords: GNSS CORS GMU1 station, GPS connectivity, GAMIT software

Abstract

Housing construction by private developers in Kelurahan Bukit Lama began in 1986 with the construction of Perumahan Poligon. Since then, housing construction continues in Kelurahan Bukit Lama. Residential housing is developed by private developers with the goal to the middle to the top. At the beginning, it is built a large-scale housing or housing that has numbers of units but this time more housing developments leading to small-scale housing. Small scale housing developments is seen in three aspects; growth, spatial, and actors. These three aspect are changed in different time unit. Small-scale residential development is influenced by factors of housing location. Housing location factors are seen from developer and buyer.Keywords: development, factors
