Abstract

Language skills are a process in order to convey ideas, messages, attitudes, and opinions to readers using symbols or language symbols. One of the materials that can support the success of language skills is through persuasive speech. Persuasive speech is a type of speech delivered with the aim of influencing the listener, persuading so that they are interested in what is being said.The purpose of this study was to improve the students' ability to identify ideas of persuasive speech text by applying the Peer Tutor learning method for class IX students of SMP Negeri 4 LölöfituMoi Learning Year 2020/2021. The subjects of this study were 24 students of SMP Negeri 4 Lölöfitu Moi class IX-1 semester I. This study uses a Classroom Action Research method with the implementation procedure are (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, (4) reflection.The results of the study using the Peer Tutor learning method showed that there was an increase in students' skills in identifying persuasive speech text ideas. This can be seen in the research findings of each cycle, namely cycle I with the average score achieved by students of 56.71 with the lowest score of 35 and the highest score of 70.While in the second cycle there was an increase with the average score obtained by students of 83.59. with the lowest score of 75 and the highest score of 95.Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that using the Peer Tutor learning method can improve students' ability to identify persuasive speech text ideas and students are more active so that learning is more meaningful. With these conclusions, the recommended suggestions are (1) For Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Lölöfitu Moi to use the Peer Tutor learning method because researchers have conducted research and are proven to improve students' ability to analyze persuasive speech text ideas; (2) For future researchers, so that this research can be carried out even better, including in designing and modifying learning methods that can actually improve the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in the Picture and Picture learning model on the students' ability to write one-act drama scripts in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya.This type of research is a classroom action research with research subjects, students of class VIII-2 SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya, totaling 32 people. The object of this research is the student learning outcomes in writing a one-act drama script. The I and II learning outcomes tests are in the form of products. In testing the hypothesis classical completeness is used, namely the number of students who meet or more than the minimum KKM is 75%.The results of the research cycle I the average value of students 72.81 with 10 students or 34% complete. The lowest score in the first cycle was 60 and the highest score was 83. Furthermore, in the second cycle the students' average score increased to 79.5 with 93.75% completeness or 30 students. The lowest value in the second cycle was 72 and the highest value was 88. The results of the calculation were that classical completeness in the second cycle was greater than the minimum classical completeness, namely 93.75%> 75%. It can be concluded that the application of the picture and picture learning model can improve student learning outcomes in writing drama scripts

Abstract

Many activities are closely related to writing skills, for example making summaries, taking notes, writing minutes, writing various kinds of letters, writing activity plans, to the ability to write scientific papers. Writing complex explanatory text is writing that tells of an event that is arranged in an orderly manner. Meanwhile, the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is a method that prioritizes good teamwork. The ability to write complex explanatory texts of class XI SMA SWASTA IT AL FATTAH Lma Village in cycle I was (52%) complete learning and (48%) students have not finished learning. Then after taking the action in cycle II, the learning outcomes are (95%) complete and (5%) have not finished learning Keywords: ability, writing, complex explanatory text, STAD.

Abstract

This research began with the problem of the low Mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe, West Nias Regency on the Pythagorean Theorem material, under the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 67. Of the 27 total students, only 12 students reached the KKM, which is around 44%. . The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe in the 2019/2020 school year. Based on the results of the discussion and analysis, it is concluded that the application of the problem based learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material. The increase in teacher activity in the learning process is caused by the teacher using a problem based learning (PBL) learning model. Student learning outcomes have increased from cycle I to cycle II. Student learning outcomes before the action reached the KKM only 12 students with a classical average of 44%. Then in the first cycle, only 18 students reached the KKM with a classical average of 67%. Cycle II students who reach the KKM 25 students with a classical average of 93%

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Indonesian Private Vocational High School Building in Class XI Computer Network Engineering where the learning outcomes of students for the material for Business Opportunities for Goods and Services Products online in the subjects of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship were low. This study aims to increase student motivation and learning outcomes in the subjects of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship Class XI TKJ during the Covid 19 pandemic with a distance learning model (Online learning). The results of observations made turned out to be in the process of distance learning and face-to-face encounters with many obstacles and problems, especially for students, it is not easy in this distance learning to provide an understanding of the material presented / given to students through the google classroom application platform and very low meet rooms. resulting in very low student learning outcomes. The research method used in this distance learning uses the google classroom application platform with the research subjects of class XI TKJ students. Data collection techniques using evaluation in the form of knowledge assessment (google form) and LKPD. The data analysis method is descriptive. The results obtained from this study the application of problem based learning using video media can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in the subjects of creative products and entrepreneurship. This is evident from the results obtained at first that only 38.46% of students mastered the material, in the first cycle it reached 65.38% of students who completed and in the second cycle it reached 80.76% of students who completed. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the application of problem based learning using video can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in the subjects of creative products and entrepreneurship

Abstract

This research was carried out at SMK N 1 Bunguran Barat in Class XII Accounting, where the ability of students for online product marketing material in the eyes of each product course was low. The purpose of this classroom action research research is to find out whether the Problem Based Learning method can improve student learning achievement. The data collection method is daily practice exercises followed by a learning achievement test. The data analysis method is descriptive. The results obtained from this study are the group assignment method with the Problem Based Learning Model which can improve the learning achievement of students. This is evident from the results obtained initially reaching an average value of 48.75, in the first cycle the average value was 67.50 and in the second cycle the average value was 73.88. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the Problem Based Learning model through independent and group assignment techniques can improve learning achievement

Abstract

This study deals with the use of coordinating conjunctions in lover album by Taylor Swift. This study aimed to find out the most dominant type of coordinating conjunction, to elaborate the realization of types of coordinating conjunction in that album and the reason for using the dominant type of coordinating conjunction  in that album. The source of data was the script of Lover Album. Descriptive qualitative research was applied in this data. The data were classified into types of the coordinating conjunction. The data were analyzed based on the types of the coordinating conjunction. The study found that there were five types of coordinating conjunction, they are For, And, But, Or, and So. There were 242 coordinating conjunctions in that album. The percentages of coordinating conjunction were 22 conjunctions(9,09%) for For, 151 conjunctions (62,39%) for And, 52 conjunctions (21,49%) for But, 5 conjunctions (2,07%) for Or, and 12 conjunctions (4,96%) for So. The realization of types of coordinating conjunction occurred because the lyric has the grammatical reasons. The speakers used types of coordinating conjunctions for indicating something that has many references depends on speaker’s means which can explain words or sentences to be understood listener. The dominant type of coordinating conjunction found in Lover Album was 150(61,98%) for And conjunction because more than the other types as the way to connect word to word or sentence to sentence.

Abstract

Stylistics is the study of varieties of language. It tries to establish principles capable of accounting for the particular choices made by individuals and social groups in their use of language. This research tried to analyze about stylistics in speech. The objectives of this research to investigate the types of stylistics were used it on video of Anies Baswedan’s speech. To find out the most dominant types stylistics in Anies Baswedan’s speech. In this research used descriptive qualitative methods was be designed by applying descriptive phenomenon design. So, the writer used documentation method to collect the data. The researcher took a full of the total Anies Baswedan’s performed on the video Anies Baswedan speech. From the analysis of the data, the researcher finds five types of stylistics  found in Anies baswedan’s speech when talked about Jakarta marketing week 2019. There were five types of stylistics that analyzed from on the video of Anies Baswedan speech. They were General, Literary, Textualist, Interpretative and Expressive. The percentage of total stylistics on the video, where General was 23.81%, Literary was 19.05 %, Textualist was 23.81 %, Interpretative was 14.28 %, Expressive was 19.05%. on the video of Anies Baswedan’s Speech.
