Abstract

The case of peat fires has became a serious problem in Indonesia. It?s impact of peatland fires was felt to the public. One technique to prevent the impact of these problems is try to analyze the pattern of the movement direction so that the smoke peatland can be a form of early prevention solutions. HYSPLIT model is one of technique to analyze the pattern of trajectories based on the meteorological conditions in the region. Fuzzy C-Means clustering is used for providing better result than the cluster of other techniques such as k-means. Based on cluster processing using fuzzy c-means formed fom the value of partition entropy of 0.4554 and partition coefficient of 0.7057, from these factors produce 2 clusters. The results that produce 2 clusters which in the first cluster, smoke peatland fires is at an altitude of 15.89 m AGL and second cluster that the smoke from peatland fires is at an altitude of 135.81 m AGL. Than, the smoke haze has moved to Malaysia, of course the smoke haze is dangerous for societies

Abstract

Virtual community is one of the most used platforms to share knowledge. Virtualcommunity usually composed by people who shared vision or specialty in certain aspect. This paper is systematic literature review using PRISMA. The goals of this papers is to find what is the driving factor of the people to share their knowledge in this kind of community. The end result of this papers is driving factors which can be used to create knowledge sharing model in virtual community.

Abstract

Face recognition using artificial intelligence has extensive usage. A facial image can be used as face-unlock on mobile devices, biometrics on attendance systems, and auto-tagging images on social media. However, the face is one of the most challenging objects to be modeled as it is affected by the age, lighting, location of image capture, orientation, pose, and expression. Face images can be decomposed to take out the main components (on low frequency) to be an identifier. The image decomposition process can be done using Wavelet transform. This study use Neural Probabilistic Network (PNN) method to classify the facial images based on Wavelet feature extraction. The aims of this study is to implement the PNN classification method and Wavelet feature extraction to build a facial image classification model. The wavelet decomposition levels used in the study are levels 2 to 6. Meanwhile, the K-Fold Cross Validation method is used to split the data into training data and test data. The total of facial images used is 800 images, consist of 40 individuals with 20 individual images per person. The facial image data was downloaded from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. This study showed that an enhancement accuracy along with the increased Wavelet decomposition levels from 2 to 5. The best accuracy was obtained using Wavelet decomposition level 5, which was 97.25%. Whereas on Wavelet decomposition level 6 the was an accuracy reduction of 1.88% to become 95.37%.

Abstract

Investigation of the soybeans disease motivates the need for a programmed detection system. Automated detection using a vision system and pattern recognition are implemented to detect the symptoms of nutrient diseases and also to classify the disease group. Research before the show that disease recognizing can be conducted with a classification such as Suppor Vector Machine. Reminding, one of the advantages of Support Vector Machine, is able to increase performance on generalization with choosing the exact kernel function, thus on this research would like to find out which kernel function appropriate to the classification problem on soybeans disease using two kinds of the kernel function, Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Linear. Based on the performance result conducted with soybeans dataset, both of them can work well on a classification problem. However, from both function kernel, Radial Basis Function (RBF) classify better than the other with an accuracy of 83% of correct classification

Abstract

Facilities for students' activities in actively developing their competencies are very difficult to find and implement their ideas, and moreover to be aware in applying their strategies, so students do not have the life skills as independent people. This type of research is actions that occur in class using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method. The purpose of this study is to explore the benefits of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method in improving learning outcomes in drawing construction in SMK. Data collection techniques carried out through interviews, documentation, and observation methods. Analysis of the data to be used in this research is descriptive percentages. The results of the study concluded that the learning strategy with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method can improve student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the first cycle-assessment on the initial ability task with an average value of 33.15 and the first cycle assignment with an average of 40.21 then an increase in the second cycle with an average of 80.36. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method can be used as an alternative method of learning in class so that learning activities can run more effectively in construction drawing lessons and can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The design of information must be done by taking into account the user convenience factor (usability). Usability is a very important factor and must be considered so that users who implement the information system need to be easy to use, obtain the necessary information, and are interested in entering more into the information system. This research was conducted to analyze the acceptance system of the BRI Institute acceptability of new students based on usability criteria. This study uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) method to measure the use of this online examination system for use. This SUS method has 10 questions that will be answered by the respondents involved and uses the direct system of the new student's Online Acceptance Exam. The average score obtained by the System Use Scale method is 74.67. These results fall into the Acceptable category so that the BRI Institute admissions system exam is suitable for use

Abstract

Computer-Based Test National Examination (UNBK) within the Ministry of Education and Culture using exam information system using a computer to obtain valid test results, and can be accountable. UNBK is a computer-based test or test that the presentation and selection is done computerized as a test medium. so that each test taker gets a different package of questions. The current UNBK operation uses a semi-online Virtual Hard Drive (VHD) system that is sent from an online central server via network (synchronization) to a local server, and then the execution of the student exams is served by the local server offline. The test results are then uploaded from the local server to the central server online. The local server uses the Virtual Machine application to run the UNBK server machine virtualization locally. Virtual machine application used is VirtualBox. The population of the study were all 10th grade students and 114 respondents. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of IBM SPSS Amos v.20 software. The result of this research is user satisfaction variable has significant effect to intention to use and user satisfaction has significant effect to net benefit.
