Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the return on contract option using covered call writing strategy and protective put buying strategy with black scholes. The population in this study are all companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange whose shares belong to the blue chip stocks. The sample in this research was determined by purposive sampling method to obtain 5 companies in the sample. Based on the results of the study, covered call writing strategy suffered losses, while the protective put buying strategy experiencing gains. The return of protective put buying strategy is better than the covered call writing strategy. For investors who want to invest in the derivatives market, particular contracts option investors should look at the movement of stock prices. If the movement of stocks tend to be stable, they should use the covered call writing strategy. If the stock tends to decrease, then they should use a protective put buying strategy.

Abstract

Creative economic development in Citengah Village seeks to 1) realize the potential of nature and exploit it maximally and develop the character of the villagers through the art community, 2) improve the human resources of the local villagers. Many of the natural wealth besides the natural tourist destinations also have other natural potentials to be developed into goods of economic value, as well as woven handicrafts, handicrafts from leaves or jepal bark (upih). To uncover and discuss such problems using methods, interviews, literature studies, field studies, and experiential experiences as part of the village community of Citengah Kabupaten Sumedang. The results show that the social characteristics and skills significantly show positive things. At the end, goal is able to create and empower the natural wealth of more economic value in addition to the value and cultural richness.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the affect of size, growth, and leverage to the corporate social responsibility disclosure of the plantation companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, or both countries during 2013-2015. Purposive sampling method was used, obtained from 15 companies in Indonesia and 38 in Malaysia. Descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis were used in this research. The result shows that simultaneously, the size, the growth, and the leverage significantly affects CSR disclosure of the plantation companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, or both countries. In Indonesia, the size partially affect, growth does not affect, while leverage negatively affect of CSR disclosure. In Malaysia, the size and growth does not affect, while leverage has positive effect on the CSR disclosure. In both countries, the size has positive affect, while growth and leverage does not affect the CSR disclosure.

Abstract

Income smoothing is an action performed by the company’s management in order to reduce fluctuations earnings This is done with the motivation to show good performance to investors, by showing stable corporate profits. Income smoothing is done by adding or reducing the company’s actual profit, to be moved to certain period. This study used a quantitative research method. Purposive sampling method was used, that is 59 samples in the period of 3 years. Therefore, the obtained samples were amounted to be 177 in total. Logistic regression analysis was used. The result showed that profitability, leverage and firm size have influence simultaneously significant to income smoothing. Partially, profitability have a positive effect, while the leverage and firm size do not have an effect to income smoothing.

Abstract

This research aims to find the indication of sticky cost behavior in agricultural companies listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2012-2015. Sticky cost is a cost that has no comparable character with changes in activity. These costs become sticky when the declining of company’s activity happens. This study used 9 companies as samples. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. It is found that the labor cost increased by 0,913 percent and operating expenses increrased by 0,146 percent when sales increased by 1 percent. In the other hand, when sales decreased by 1 percent, the labor cost decreased by 0,225 percent and operating expenses decreased by 0,131 percent. The result shows that there is indication of sticky cost behavior in the labor cost and operating expenses.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of leverage, size of company, audit quality and accounting result simultaneously or partially to the audit report lag. The type of this research is descriptive verificative. The number of manufacturing companies in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) over the period of 2011-2015 are 143 companies, then obtained a sample of 110 by purposive sampling. Analysis of data is carried out using multiple regression method. The results showed variable leverage, size company, audit quality and accounting result can explain audit report lag 33.3%. Partial test results showed that leverage did not significantly affect, size company and accounting result have a significant negative effect and audit quality have a significant positive effect on audit report lag.

Abstract

This research aimed to understand how to use of the Altman Z-Score, Springate, and Zmijewski methods, to predict bankruptcy and help to analyze companies that have been delisted from Indonesian Stock Exchange in time period of 2011–2015. This research used descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population used in this research are companies that have been delisted in time period of 2011-2015, using the financial report from three years before the companies delisting from Indonesian Stock Exchange. Non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique were used, with nine companies that have been delisted from Indonesian Stock Exchange. The result showed that there are different prediction from each methods. Most delisting companies are predicted to bankrupt at least one of the methods.
