Abstract

Hedging is used to protect the value of a company’s assets or liabilities from exposure to fluctuations in the value of foreign currency. This study aims to investigate the conditions and influence of firm size, growth opportunities, leverage ratio, and financial distress either simultaneously or partially to the hedge policy of BUMN listed in the IDX period of 2013-2016. The sample in this study was chosen based on purposive sampling method, obtained from 16 BUMN companies with research period from 2013-2016. Data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and logistic regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that firm size, growth opportunities, leverage, and financial distress simultaneously have a significant effect on hedging policy. Partially, firm size and financial distress have a significant positive effect on hedging policy, leverage has a significant negative effect on hedging policy, while growth opportunity has a positive effect not significant to hedging policy.

Abstract

Financial report describes the performance of a company. Accounting conservatism makes accountants have to note the possibility of losses as soon as possible and also note the profit when it is realized. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial distress, institutional ownership, and the profitability towards accounting conservatism. The population in this study is the food and beverages companies that listed in IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) in 2011-2015. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling method, in which the population sample are the companies that publishing its financial reports and annual reports for 5 periods started from 2011 to 2015. In the result, it is obtained a sample of 8 companies with 40 units of observation data. The analysis method of data analysis used is panel of data regression analysis. The results of this study showed that simultaneous variable financial distress, institutional ownership, and profitability have significantly influenced to accounting conservatism. Furthermore, in partial variable, financial distress and profitability have positive impact to accounting conservatism. Meanwhile, institutional ownership variable has no impact to accounting conservatism.

Abstract

Creative economic development in Citengah Village seeks to 1) realize the potential of nature and exploit it maximally and develop the character of the villagers through the art community, 2) improve the human resources of the local villagers. Many of the natural wealth besides the natural tourist destinations also have other natural potentials to be developed into goods of economic value, as well as woven handicrafts, handicrafts from leaves or jepal bark (upih). To uncover and discuss such problems using methods, interviews, literature studies, field studies, and experiential experiences as part of the village community of Citengah Kabupaten Sumedang. The results show that the social characteristics and skills significantly show positive things. At the end, goal is able to create and empower the natural wealth of more economic value in addition to the value and cultural richness.

Abstract

Gross export growths in the mining sector have experienced negatively for the last few years. One of the negative impact is the reduce of revenue generated in the mining sector causing some companies gain negative profit that can trigger financial distress. This research goal is to know the effect of liquidity, activity, growth, board of directors, and audit committee give impact to the financial distress in the mining companies that listed on IDX in the period of 2011-2016. The research sample was collected by purposive sampling method in order to obtain 24 companies. Logistic regression analysis is also used to be the method of this research. The results showed that liquidity, activity, growth, board of directors and audit committee have simultaneous significant effect, but at the same time, liquidity and activities have partial significant effect to the condition of financial distress.

Abstract

ROA is used to measure the ability of the bank’s management in obtaining the overall profit of the total assets owned. This study aims to examine the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non Performing Loan (NPL). Profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) in Commercial Bank listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period of 2011-2015. The population in this study are the commercial bank listed on the Stock Exchange. Sample selection technique used is purposive sampling and acquired 31 commercial banks with the 2011-2015 study period. Methods of data analysis is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that simultaneous Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non Performing Loan (NPL) have a significant effect on profitability. While partially, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) significant positive effect, Non Performing Loan (NPL) significant negative effect, while Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) has no effect on profitability.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of institutional ownership and multinationality with firm size and leverage as control variables on tax avoidance, either simultaneously or partially. The population is all of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2011 to 2015. The sampling technique that used is purposive sampling and obtained ten manufacturing companies with five-year period thus obtained fifty sample data. Data analysis method that used is panel data regression analysis. The results show that simultaneously, institutional ownership and multinationality with firm size and leverage as control variables have no significant effect on tax avoidance. Partially, institutional ownership has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, while multinationality, firm size, and leverage have no significant effect on tax avoidance.

Abstract

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the company recently is not only based on the single bottom line which depends only on the financial condition, but also on the triple bottom line which also depends on the financial condition, environment and society. This study aims to get empirical evidence about the influence of public ownership and Return on Assets (ROA) on the disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility. The object of the research is a service company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2015. Collection methods used in this research is the data sourced in an annual report published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The collection of samples used is purposive sampling technique. Total sample of this research are 9 service companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2015. Simultaneously, public ownership and ROAgave significant effect to CSR disclosure. Partially, public ownershipgave adversely affect to the direction of CSR disclosure. ROA effect with positive direction towards CSR.

Abstract

The purpose of examination of financial statements is to provide opinions on the fairness of financial information presented in the financial statements. Based on Law Number 15 of 2004, the criteria for giving opinion are: conformity with Government Accounting Standards, adequacy of disclosure, compliance with laws and regulations, and effectiveness of internal control systems. This study aims to examine the effect of the number of audit findings on the internal control system and the number of audit findings on compliance with the opinion of the financial statements of local governments in West Java. Population in this research is 52 Reports of Result of Inspection on Local Government Financial Report (LKPD) in city/ district in West Java during 2014-2015. The sample in this study is the entire population. The partial test results of the audit findings on the SPI and the number of audit findings on each compliance have no significant effect on LKPD opinion, and simultaneously the number of audit findings on the SPI and the number of audit findings on compliance have no significant effect on the LKPD opinion of the city / district in Java West in 2014-2015.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the affect of size, growth, and leverage to the corporate social responsibility disclosure of the plantation companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, or both countries during 2013-2015. Purposive sampling method was used, obtained from 15 companies in Indonesia and 38 in Malaysia. Descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis were used in this research. The result shows that simultaneously, the size, the growth, and the leverage significantly affects CSR disclosure of the plantation companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, or both countries. In Indonesia, the size partially affect, growth does not affect, while leverage negatively affect of CSR disclosure. In Malaysia, the size and growth does not affect, while leverage has positive effect on the CSR disclosure. In both countries, the size has positive affect, while growth and leverage does not affect the CSR disclosure.

Abstract

This research is conducted to measure that the capital adequacy ratio, non performing financing, and third party fund give impacts on financing of profit sharing, either simultaneously or partially. This research is a causal descriptive verification research. Unit of analysis in this research is sharia banks in Indonesia. The research data were collected by purposive sampling technique which include 7 Islamic banking that have been running for six years, in the period of 2011-2016. This study uses panel data regression. The results showed that the capital adequacy ratio, non performing financing, and third party fund simultaneously give influence to the financing of profit sharing. Partially, the capital adequacy ratio and non-performing financing does not affect the financing of profit sharing. while third party fund deposits have a positive effect on the financing of profit sharing.
