Abstract

The use of smartphones is now not a strange thing among office employees. This study wants to see how the application of smartphones as a medium of interpersonal communication among employees of the Ministry of Religion in West Aceh District because as is well known, the function of smartphones is not just to call each other. The features of the smartphone allow people to communicate in various ways, besides that it allows people to use it for a specific purpose, in addition to communicating. By using a qualitative method approach, the researchers found that it turns out that employees of the Ministry of Religion in West Aceh District have applied smartphones with various features they have as media to communicate intensively with other employees around the office without the need to do it face-to-face. Smartphones have become a much-needed communication media for employees of the ministry of religion in West Aceh District, although there are adverse impacts on employees when using smartphones, such as reducing discipline and reducing productivity at work. To overcome the negative use, it requires rules and supervision from the office leadership.

Abstract

It is important and urgent to conduct a scientific study on the establishment of Islamic Village-Owned Enterprises (I-BUMDes) through the local potential to realize independent villages, by analyzing local potential variables, financial capital, human resources, and community participation in the establishment of I-BUMDes in Nagan Raya District. The population of this study was all villages that have Bumdes in Nagan Raya district. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The study sample was 10 I-BUMDes that have run in Nagan Raya district. Primary data was obtained by interviews and questionnaires to I-BUMDes administrators and communities in the local area. Secondary data was obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Regency Community Empowerment Agency (BPM), and the internet. Regression analysis was performed to determine whether an independent variable has an effect on the dependent variable by using the regression model estimation by entering a dummy variable, the joint hypothesis test model. Significance test was carried out using the normality test method through the Jarque-Bera (JB) statistical test through histogram screening, with a significance level of 5% indicating that the statistical value was 163,393 while the square chi value α = 5% and (df = n-2 = 130-2 = 128, α = 5%). Therefore, the Ho assumption is accepted which means the norm is distributed data. The regression results using qualitative variables can be seen, showing different results and in accordance with the hypothesis that was built. The regression results by entering the dummy variable show a positive and significant effect at α = 5%, towards the formation of I-BUMDes in Nagan Raya District. Only human power variables do not affect the formation of I-BUMDes with an error term value of α = 5%.

Abstract

Employees are important assets of the organization, so many things that need to be considered related to improving performance. An employee's performance will be in accordance with the wishes of the company if the quality of human resources is good. Good performance can also be supported by the presence of occupational safety and health guarantees from the company. The Implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) system also influences employee performance. This study aims to determine the effect of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) on the performance of midwives at the XYZ Islamic Hospital Fetomatenal Installation Riau Province, Indonesia. The results of analyze of primary data using SPSS Version 23, it can be concluded that the work safety variable has a significant effect on performance, knowing that occupational health variables have a significant effect on performance. In addition, it can be concluded that occupational safety and health variables together have a significant influence on performance variables.

Abstract

Teacher's perception of the K-13 is believed to be one of the factors that lead to the success or failure of the curriculum implementation. This is because the K-13 makes teachers have to adjust and change the learning style in the classroom. Considering the various phenomena about the K-13, the researcher was interested in conducting research the Implementation of the K-13 in the South West Region of Aceh (English Teachers’ Perspectives). In this research, the researchers also analyzed some obstacles faced by the English Teachers in implementing the K-13 and what solutions offered by STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh as one of the universities which produce the teachers in the South West Region of Aceh. The research applied quantitative and qualitative approach that involved 21 English teachers who teach English at Madrasah across South West of Aceh. The result of the study indicated that the implementation of K-13 has not been effective due to several reasons such as the allocation time is insufficient and too many forms of assessment. Moreover, the English teachers issued that the biggest obstacle in implementing the K-13 was the excessive administrative demands. Therefore, the government of Indonesia, in this matter, the Deparment of Education has to ascertain that the majority of English teachers receive training related to K-13 and review the time allocation provided to the English teachers. For the English teachers, they should be creative and innovative in improving their understanding on K-13 using printed and online resources.

Abstract

Today we have been living with multimedia, something that we can not ignore. Even, most of us can not live without it. Multimedia have changed many things in our lives. We can listen to the music, view pictures, and watch videos from various platforms. Despite offering so many facilities, multimedia can be very dangerous for college students in the booming of social media and social chat. College students alumni in East Java prefer to enjoy multimedia through Facebook platform rather than another conventional platform. Therefore, da'wah in the present of time has a very big challenge among college students. Without the right approach, da’wah by utilizing multimedia has no significant impact. This research is a quantitative research that tests the effectiveness of da'wah approach through text, image, and video and through facebook platform as a mediator among college students alumni. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of da'wah approach that college students alumni are interested in. The population of this research is college students alumni who use facebook located in the province of East Java, Indonesia. Respondents of this research amounted to 100 people as samples taken from alumnus of Ibrahimy University. Questionnaires are used as data collection methods. Data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using IBM SPSS Amos software. The result of this research show that facebook platform has a significant impact on college students alumni interest in da'wah approach through multimedia. It’s mean video, picture, and text had a significant effect on Facebook platform. The results of this research can be used as a reference by the Islamic practitioners both individual and institutional who want to make da’wah through multimedia have positive impact.
