Abstract

Abstract The birth of various teaching or irrelevant understanding of a religion, such as materialism and secularism, the religion has been made helpless and put-aside from many aspects. This could also affect people if a religion is no longer effective within multi-dimension and multi-cultural life. This paper was meant to work through ways to be done in the middle of various growing culture in society where a more important role of religion leaders could help a much wider point of view in this dynamic globalization era among various yet sometimes dilemmatic solutions. In order to describe a religional life of a society, an observation and people's empowerment are both needed, such as religional infrastructures, understanding, actuating, religional institution, religion leaders, etc. Religion leaders are supposed to have a soothing dynamics inside multi-cultural society. Therefore they are supposed to have several principals, such as finding a point in common; pleasing and easing; and minding people's psychologicals. There are also several ethically signs, such as not separating the saying from the doing; avoiding religion tolerance; not insulting other religions' god; preventing social discrimination; not getting friends with sexually immoral perpetrators; and having intelligency.

Abstract

Abstract The goal of this research is to determine the role of village chief on unfinished land lawsuit settlement along with all influencing factors. This is seen as there are so many cases such as borderland cases, land area, and land ownership cases which has not been solved completely. All eight-seven (87) people inflicted on this case accounted as research’s sample. The data collected using observation, interview, questionnaire, and literature study methods. Those data were analyzed quantitatively by using tabulation system, frequency, and statictical percentage. The result shows that the village chief has quite a role by scoring average 3,63, while the influencing factors in quantity of work scores average 2,95, the quality of work scores average 3,23, dependability scores average 4,90, job knowledge scores average 3,96, creativeness scores average 2,52, cooperation scores average 4,65, initiative scores average 2,10, and finally personal quality scores average 4,77.

Abstract

Abstract The goal of this research was to determine how people’s fertility level affected chances to get a job in Sidenreng Rappang region along with all influencing factors. This descriptive type of research tried to describe the effect of people’s fertility level to chances to get a job in Sidenreng Rappang region, based on quantitative research. Collecting the data used observation, interview by questionnaire to some chosen people. The samples were taken using proportionate stratified random sampling within all work-capable people population in Sidenreng Rappang region. The results showed that people’s fertility level scored 3,53% (quite affective), so generally Sidenreng Rappang people had the assumption that their fertility level did affect job chances. This results came from the summary of affecting factors, which are: (1) Fertility level did affect people’s job chances from calculation 942:270 = 3,4 (quite affective). (2) The effect of mortality level to job chances was 996:270 = 3,68 (quite affective). (3) The effect of people’s migration to job chances was done by combining the score and frequency, 948:270 = 3,51, which indeed was quite affective.

Abstract

Abstract This research was held at Timoreng Panua’s Village Office to determine the influences of people’s participation on Timoreng Panua’s development, along with the influencing factors. The data collection methods used were field observation, literature study, and questionnaire. There were forty (40) people in population, all accounted as research’s sample. The results were as followed; people’s attendance in development plan conference was 80% less good; people’s involvement on development directing process in the conference was 60% good; people’s responsibility in the act of development was 60% good; people’s involvement in taking advantage of development results was 77,50% good; people’s active involvement in decision making, planning throughout monitoring, and evaluating development process, was 50% good; the executive committee’s tasks in the development plan conference were 82,50% effective; the mechanism of conference implementation was 72,50% good; the conference participants’ participation was 67,50% less participated; the conference participants’ suggestions were 77,50% accepted; implementation of the development’s plan was 82,50% good; availability of the conference’s informant was 75% available; in the process of decision making was 82,50% good; and the conference participants’s rights in decision making was 75% notified. In term of influencing factors, there were supporting factors as followed; village officials (in term of human resources) in competency to implement the conference’s results were 87,50% competent; the existence of coordination and transparency in term of funding sources and development plans was 75% supportive. While the resisting factors came from physical environment, social-economic, and cultural factors, were indeed influencing by 75%.

Abstract

Abstract This research entitled “The Role of Village Chief in Finalizing Inheritance Lawsuit at Tonrong Village in Baranti District” is backed by the assumption of inheritance problems would keep going on ages of time. The Chief of Village is held responsible to maintain his people’s life condusive by judging any lawsuits, particularly for people at Tonrong Rijang village, district of Baranti, region of Sidenreng Rappang. The main problem to keep focused in is as follows: (1) How is Chief of Village role in finalizing inheritance lawsuit at Tonrong Rijang village; (2) What factors are involved in Chief of Village role of finalizing inheritance lawsuit at Tonrong Rijang village. Achieving the answers would need observation, questionnaire, interview, and literature study methods. This research would use analysis method of descriptive-qualitative, which based on field data and literature study. The answers achieved are as follow: (1) The Chief of Village is fully in charge to settle inheritance lawsuit by studying the mentioned family tree; informations on lawsuit origins; facilitating several meetings and conferences; proposing an alternative to solve the problem; and giving needed advices. (2) The resisting factors are as follow: hard to track the situation of the inheritance properties (1,30%); so little witnesses (1,53%); the human factor (1,37%); and uncertified land rights mutation (1,58%). The leading factors are as follow: The Chief of Village has a great power (3,53%); people in the village feels ashame of inheritance lawsuit (1,79%); the conference was held by familiarity in mind (3,65%); and the lawsuit through legal council seems complicated, overpriced, and took a long time to settle (1,95%).

Abstract

Abstract The goal of this research is to determine how the field officers’ performance affect peoples’ participation on family plannings program (what we call “Keluarga Berencana”) in Enrekang regency, along with all influencing factors. This research’s type is quantitative research using descriptive approach to describe the field officers’ performance within people’s participation on family plannings program in Enrekang regency along with all influencing factors. The methods used to collect data were observation, interview with chosen respondents using questionnaires. The populations were all Enrekang’s people accepting the program (family plannings program acceptors). Then they were sampled by using cluster/area sampling method, resulting nine (9) people from each twelve (12) districts in Enrekang regency. The final result from this research concluded that the performance of family plannings program field officers (we call it PLKB) within people’s participation in Enrekang regency was inside very good category by scoring 4,38.

Abstract

Abstract This research is done to determine the effect of incentive to increase performance on public services at The Department of Agriculture and Plantation, along with all influencing factors. Performance incentive is an incentive given to Country Civic-duty (pre) Employee (what we call Pegawai Negeri Sipil and Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil) based on attendance and performance to serve people. The employee’s capability to serve people is indeed the key factor to determine whether the performance incentive has reached its goal. Therefore this research is needed to analyze the quality of given services along with all the factors influencing the quality of public services. This research is using descriptive method, the samples takes all members of population and uses questionnaires to interview all forty (40) respondents serving public services. The result shows that organization’s performance in public service given the performance incentive has increased according to almost all respondents. The key factor is education and training, the higher education level and more frequent training would make a better service quality.

Abstract

Abstract Development management at rural territory was influenced by various factors, from the supportive factors to the unsupportive or resistive factors. A region will succeed its development program if those supportive factors can be maximized, while those resistive factors such as minimum infrastructures and low quality human resources can get minimized. This research was done at Leppangeng Village of Pitu Riase District in Sidenreng Rappang regency. The goal was to determine the above factors that influenced the development management in Leppangeng Village particularly at plantation sector. Data collection method used were: (1) field observation, (2) interview, (3) questionnaire, and (4) literature study. Those data were then analyzed using frequency table and percentage method. This research’s population involved thrity-five people, and all accounted as research’s samples. The result showed those factors as followed: (1) commodity or natural resources got 57,14% score as capable to support development progress, (2) farmers’ active role or working spirit got 54,26% score of increase, (3) farmers’ group organization got 62,86% score as affective in plantation sector, and (4) village organization’s role in plantation sector got 54,28% score as affective. Those factors were as mentioned: (1) minimum infrastructures such as transportation and distribution route to fulfill people’s needs got 77,14% score as very affective, and (2) low quality human resources in managing and marketing horticultural results got 80% score as also very affective.
