Abstract

This paper presents a new random weighting method for estimation of Poisson distributions. A theory is established for random weighting estimation of the population parameters of two Poisson distributions with partially missing data. The strong convergence of the random weighting estimation is rigorously proved under the condition of  . The random weighting estimation of one-sided confidence intervals in Poisson distribution is also constructed, and its coverage probability is rigorously proved by using the Edgeworth expansion under certain conditions. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1891

Abstract

The random movement of nodes makes the topology structure be one of the most important characteristics in wireless multi-hop communication network, which makes the description and quantization of the dynamic property the very foundation of the design, simulation and measurement for this kind of network. Wireless Ad hoc network as a typical multi-hop network will be focused on in this paper. The distributions of the link duration and the topology duration will be derived and verified by simulations. Then, the topology flapping sensing method has been put forward based on TTL. Finally, the probability model of the topology stability in the measurement time has been established and calculated based on network tomography for wireless ad hoc network in this paper. Simulating results verify the correctness and efficiency of the approach, which will provide the technique basis of research on the dynamic property and end-to-end measurement for wireless multi-hop communication network. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1907

Abstract

To obtain the MEMS micro structure's high resolution measurement dynamic parameters ,this paper ,by obtaining stroboscopic imaging technology of micro structure of moving image sequence,  proposed one kind based on the phase correlation technique and singular value decomposition technique combining sub-pixel measurement method. By the method of phase correlation, image space coordinate can transform into the frequency domain to the coordinates of the parameter space. And then through the singular value decomposition technique to obtain the correlation matrix, using the least-squares fitting, get the sub-pixel level displacement measurement results. The experimental results show that, with this method of measuring MEMS micro structure plane motion amplitude can reach sub-pixel accuracy, and can be effectively reduced by uneven illumination effect on the measuring result, thereby increasing the measurement results of stability and reduces the measuring error. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1870

Abstract

Real networks have complex topological structure characteristics such as pares of nodes have different strength and capacity connection. There are many instances in our real life. Every person has strong or weak relationship with others in social network and different reaction paths have non-uniform flow in metabolic network. In the food chain predator and prey have diverse relation and in the neural network electrical signal transmission paths have different capacity. All these systems could be described well by the concept of weighted network and weight of each edge in weighted network stand for the connection strength among individuals. This paper aims to provide an overview of recent advances in such study area. We first introduce a series of weighted network statistical characteristic parameter and concepts .Then in particular, we also discuss some practical network application examples. Empirical results show that pure topological model is not sufficient to explain the abundant and complex characteristics observed in real systems and it is necessary to improve such model. So we finally focus on some latest optimized weighted network models and give comparisons. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1886

Abstract

The function diagram of active heave compensation hydraulic system has been given, besides, the mathematics model for the principal hydraulic components of the compensation system has been built, and the input-output relation between components has been made clear. Aimed at compensating work capacity for the system, design and research on parameters as the bearing pressure, the initial state and the maximum flow of hydraulic cylinder, accumulator and other principal components have been made separately, and standardized design has been accomplished in accordance with relevant standards. Furthermore, calculus and verification for the capacity of the hydraulic system in different working stages have been made in order to calculate the pressure lose of the system and provide objective data for the hardware system design of the hydraulic components of the heave compensation system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1902

Abstract

This paper presents a practical representation containing a parameter of rational cubic conic sections and researchs deeply the inner properties. Firstly,The parameter how to affect the control points, inner weights and shoulder point is discussed. Secondly, the inner relation between the parameter and the weights of the nonstandard-form quadratic rational conic sections is analysed in detail. Change in the parameter value actually corresponds to a rational linear parameter transformation. Finally, we discuss the inverse calculation of the cubic rational conic sections and obtain the inverse calculation methods suitable for engineering applications. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1863

Abstract

This paper designs and develops a tool for detecting HABS from ENVI+IDL+ArcEngine.  With a friendly and artistic interface offered by third party control, this tool provides a function of HABs monitoring in East China Sea via Remote Sensing Images inversion.  Through rows of buttons on the menu bar, this tool allows calculating spectrum reflectance, browsing field work data, interpolating in situ measurement data, retrieving water property parameters, and detecting HABs position by the threshold of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature.  Data management module programmed in Structured Query Language (SQL) in our tool simplifies the data process and stores a large amount of information.  This paper elaborates the original design, functional modules, and multi data sources that gives a general view toward this tool. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1881

Abstract

This paper analyzes the basic principle of S-curve acceleration and deceleration, and presents an implementation method of S-curve control algorithm based on FPGA. The S-curve function module diagram and implementing method of PWM speed adjusting are described in FPGA. The steps of S-curve speed dissociation module and PWM variable frequency speed control are shown in this paper. High Performance and Capacity Mixed HDL Simulation software – ModelSim is used to verify the algorithm Verilog HDL code executed in FPGA. At last, a test experiment utilizing such algorithm mentioned above is carried out on one x-y working stand. There is a good agreement between simulation and experiment. The experimental results indicate that the algorithm is simple and reliable enough to meet different application requirements. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1897

Abstract

Discrete event-based simulation is commonly used to evaluate research on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). However, highly accurate simulation models are required in recent advances on wireless communication technology, which results in a steep increase in simulation complexity and runtime. The contributions of this paper for the are twofold, one is to present a general layer structure for hardware-in-the-loop emulation and WSN simulation embedded with implementation of models, such as energy model and link mode, to introduce the distributed nodes into the simulation framework; the other is to build a parallelized simulation based on multi-processor computers as the de-facto default hardware platform and powerful private computing clusters to mirror the real WSN more closely. The work in this paper is realized and used to simulate industrial WSNs for describing and verifying the detail and methodology of WSNs. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1876
