Abstract

Aiming at the difficulty in establishing model to describe vehicle running state, real road test was carried out to capture data which represent the movement of vehicles. Coordinate transformation method and transform relationship among different variable parameters were used to establishing represent model of vehicle movement. By using Petri net which had well layering and time sequence, vehicle trajectory, speed, side slip angle, and yawrate were treated as parameters to describe the movements of vehicle. Domain of discourse and subordinating degree function were confirmed, and fuzzy rules related to controllability and driving comfort were established. Verification tests results show that the Petri net model can describe the vehicle movement accurately, and the predict results of represent parameters were similarly with the real measured data. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3412

Abstract

The efficiency of container handling has got greatimprovement with the usage of the 40ft quay crane and the twin 40ft yardcrane.Reasonable bay planning strategies is necessary to reach the high handing efficiency by the twin 40ft yard crane. This paper studies both bay planning and row planning for yard bay allocation. The models of bay planning and row planning are created, and the discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to obtain the optimum solution of the models. Finally, the numerical experiments show that the proposed approach can solve the yard bay allocation effectively. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3428

Abstract

Real-time monitoring of the data of the thermal power plant is the basis of accurate analyzing thermal economy and accurate reconstruction of the operating state. Due to noise is inevitable, we need real-time monitoring data filtering to get accurate information of units and equipment in the operating data of thermal power plant. Real-time filtering algorithm can’t be used to correct the current data with future data. Compared with traditional filtering algorithm, there are a lot of constraints. First-order lag filtering method and weighted recursive average filtering method can be used for real-time filtering. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the two filtering methods and applications for real-time processing of the positive spin simulation data, and the thermal power plant operating data. The analysis revealed that the weighted recursive average filtering method applied to the simulation and real-time plant data filtering achieved very good results. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3468

Abstract

Network alignment has brought significant advances to our understanding of complex networks, for example, the Worldwide Web, biological networks, and social networks. Triangles comprised of three nodes are the simplest subnet in the directed network. The distribution of triangles is an important indicator of understanding the dynamics and function of directed networks. In this paper, we present a novel alignment algorithm for directed networks only based on topology structure, which can be used for any two networks. The transcriptional regulatory networks (TRNs) of E. coli and S. cerevisiae are used to evaluate the algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm proposed is efficient for aligning directed networks.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.2951

Abstract

Intelligent empty bottle inspection system is an important inspection equipment of empty bottle before filling beer, and it is a blend of machine vision, precision machine and real-time control. They need to cooperate perfectly to achieve the desired effect. In the design of the empty bottle inspection system, one of the key technologies is the bottle bottom detection which affects the speed and accuracy of the system. It includes positioning and defect recognition of bottle bottom. For the problems such as the slow detection speed and low detection precision of bottle bottom detection, some new methods are proposed in this paper. The positioning algorithm of the bottle bottom in images is studied after preprocessing the obtained images, and the accurate positioning is achieved by improving the Randomized Hough transform. In the defect recognition of bottle bottom, a method of calculating optimum radius in Fourier spectrum is used to solve the problem of the detection accuracy being influenced by the antiskid veins of bottle bottom. It can improve the recognition accuracy effectively. Experiments show the methods proposed in this paper can effectively improve the precision and speed of the bottle bottom detection. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3341

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel fast intra-prediction algorithm that exploits the Sobel operator to replace the Hadamard transform used in the Rough Mode Decision (RMD) process of intra prediction in High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). First, the Sobel operator is used to calculate the vector direction of each pixel. A judgment is then made on which prediction mode the vector belongs to, and a histogram is applied in the scheme to generate the statistics of prediction modes for each prediction unit. Finally, the prediction mode candidates are placed in the candidate list for the rate-distortion optimization process. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithm for RMD significantly reduces the complexity of the encoder with an acceptable degradation of quality and BD-rate compared with HM7.0. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3396

Abstract

With the development of computer and information technology, the capacity of data and information is increasing. The processing of data and information becomes the hot issue in the current scientific community. Rough set and genetic algorithm are two data mining and processing technologies which had been commonly used. Rough set can process data quickly and the algorithm is simple. The convergence of genetic algorithm is fast and the robustness is good. This paper puts forward the effective clustering algorithm based on  the combined control of rough set and genetic algorithm, then does simulation experiment of segmentation images by  numerical simulation based on matlab programming, finally gets  the curve of calculation process and the effect diagram of image segmentation , verifies the effectiveness of the algorithm. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3407

Abstract

In the monitoring of cutting tool state, a large number of redundant information is contained in the sensor signal. Therefore, it is obviously not conducive to pattern recognition, and difficult to classify the tool wear state correctly from the available sensors. The test platform that had real-time information collection of the vibration and acoustic emission signals in turning was built. Observed signals were adaptively processed using the method of ensemble empirical mode decomposition introduced joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (J-EEMD). This method is based on the characteristics of the signal itself decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMF), and then transforms the energy ratio between the IMF. The white noise of each IMF component has been eliminated by introducing JADE algorithm during the signal decomposition. Compared with the EEMD algorithm, the decomposition efficiency is significantly improved. The experiments showed that the method could identify the different states of tool wear, if applied to feature extraction of vibration and acoustic emission signal in the cutting process.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3423

Abstract

With the continuous development of cloud computing applications, the problems of cloud computing are more and more obvious, such as the lower efficiency of resource search, the lack of network scalability, and some difficulties in management. In this paper, the problems of P2P network and the structural characteristics of the IS-P2P network are studied. On the basis of traditional Chord algorithm, the improvement of the speed of search is made. BiChord: a resource locator and query algorithm based on cloud computing is put forward. The bidirectional routing tables FingerTable and RefingerTable are designed by this algorithm, which adopts the query strategy of bidirectional location of keywords. In addition, the paper also proposes XP query: a message query mechanism based on the structure of the cloud computing. Simulation results show that BiChord has better routing performance than traditional Chord algorithm and the message query mechanism also improves the efficiency of resource queries. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3356
