Abstract

This paper proposes a reliability estimation method based on Step-Stress Accelerated Degradation Testing (SSADT) data analysis using unequal interval time series analysis. A Multi-Regression Time Varying Auto-Regressive (MRTVAR) degradation time series model is proposed. Product SSADT data are treated as unequal interval composite time series and described using MRTVAR time series model and utilized to predict long-term trend of degradation. By using the suggested method, product reliability is obtained. An example is presented as a verification of the modeling technique and estimation method. A reasonable estimation of lifetime and reliability of the product is obtained by employing the present method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3402

Abstract

As cloud computing becomes more and more utilized, sensitive data are being stored in cloud central servers. To ensure privacy, these data are usually encrypted before uploading, which makes searching complicated. In this paper we propose architecture of fuzzy keyword search with safe index. Bloom filter is used to build safe index which increases the searching effectiveness on a large dataset. The size of index is fixed so that the space efficiency is promoted. The experiment result shows that our searching scheme is effective and can be adapted to large encrypted file system.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3419

Abstract

Aiming at the characteristics of a certain thermostat control system such as non-linear and time varying, combining the traditional PID controller with modern fuzzy control theory, and using the EP1C12 FPGA as the core controller, the fuzzy adaptive PID temperature controller is going to be designed and achieved. The deviation and deviation rate are the inputs of fuzzy PID controller. PID parameters are the outputs of fuzzy PID controller. A set of fuzzy rules is used to achieve the online optimal regulation for the PID parameters. The simulation results of the system show that this method can significantly improve the control effect. With the simplification of the design, the computational speed and reliability of the system are also improved. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3459

Abstract

In order to conduct the gait recognition system, a wireless in-shoe wearable plantar pressure acquisition system based on ATmega16 and 8 FSR sensors was applied to data acquisition for the gaits which consist of standing, walking, jumping and going upstairs. And four volunteers (2 females and 2 males) were invited in this research to collect the pressure information. MATLAB and LIBSVM were applied to conduct all algorithms proposed by this study. Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used to set the best tuning (penalty) parameter  and the best  (gamma) of Gauss radial basis kernel (RBF) for C-support vector classification (C-SVC) model and the GA-based C-SVC was obtained. A dataset named ‘train-data’, containing 800 sets of pressure data was used to train the GA-based C-SVC as the algorithm of gait recognition. Finally a testing dataset containing 400 sets of pressure data was applied to test the algorithm of gait recognition called GA-based C-SVC. The accuracy of this GA-based C-SVC was 98% for standing, 91% for walking, 82% for going-upstairs and 97% for jumping. In generally speaking, a better GA-based C-SVC was obtained in this research. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.2962

Abstract

A distributed network intrusion detection system (IDS) called SA-NIDS is proposed based on the network-based intrusion detection architecture. It includes three basic components, Local Intrusion Detection Monitor (LIDM), Global Intrusion Detection Controller (GIDC), and Surveillance Agent (SA). Basically, the LIDM is used to do packets capturing, packets de-multiplexing, local intrusion detection and intrusion inferring. The GIDC is installed in administration center for communicating and managing LIDMs, it can also do the intrusion detection and intrusion inferring. The SA contains several optional functions for information gathering. After an attack behavior is discovered, the SA may be used to launch some kinds of information gathering to the attacker, so that the proposed SA-NIDS has the active surveillance ability. For the intrusion inferring, the pattern matching and the statistical approach are applied in SA-NIDS. The experimental results can satisfy the needs of network information safety.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3707

Abstract

With packet input rate rise ceaselessly, FoCES system will finally be congested. In order to solve this problem, aiming at the common local congestion and global congestion, this paper proposed a local congestion control strategy based on scheduling and a global congestion control mode based on the linkage between CE and FE. These two congestion control schemes can independently run inside the system, and also can operate simultaneously. Making that the forwarding rate, throughout and packet loss all have a great improvement in the FE end. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3387

Abstract

This paper presents the computer aided design of a 4th-order switch-capacitor low-pass filter applied in quartz gyroscope interface circuit. After a introduction of switch-capacitor filter (SCF) and its application in quartz gyroscope, the system-level analysis and design is given. Then the circuit design of amplifier, CMOS switch and non-overlapping clock is described. The Fourth-order low-pass SCF has been implemented under 0.5um CMOS process and simulated in computer aided design software. The final simulation results show that the passband is 99.7Hz , and the maximum pass-band ripple is about 0.14dB.The stop-band is 1KHz, and the minimum stop-band attenuation is 78.6dB. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3398

Abstract

Large power transformer, as the key equipment of power system, plays an influential role to ensure the safe operation of power system. In this paper, transformer fault diagnosis model is built based on Fuzzy Support Vector Machines(FSVM) which combines Support Vector Machines (SVM) with fuzzy degree of membership. Hierarchical classification algorithm for multi-class classification is applied to diagnose the transformer fault. The membership value of the FSVM is obtained by Fuzzy C Means. Parameters of the FSVM model are optimized with Genetic Algorithm (GA). The transformer states are divided into trouble-free(normal), low temperature overheating T1, medium temperature overheating T2, high temperature overheating T3, low-energy discharge D1, high-energy discharge D2, and partial discharge PD. A mass of fault samples are analyzed and the results are compared with those obtained by the methods of Back-Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) and SVM, which shows that the proposed model is more effective and accurate. So the given method of transformer fault diagnosis based on Fuzzy Support Vector Machines is feasible. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3414

Abstract

Many of papers refers to study of application for FACTS. Especially for using reactive compensators for  500KV power system in order to increase the static voltage stability margin and transient stability enhancement have considered. However the  selection of suitable Var source (STATCOM or SVC)  also need to be considered. The purpose of this paper is to solve the above problems in order to suggest a olution of the appropriate shunt compensator for a reality 500KV power system. All the simulations for the above work have been carried out using MATLAB-SIMULINK environment. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.2766
