Abstract

The dynamic response test to the subgrade plays a very important role in railway construction and a new in-situ test system is proposed. This paper presents the application of non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) to analyze the stability of the supporting equipment for track subgrade dynamic response in-situ test device. Its stability is related with the extension length of the hydraulic cylinders and the backward condition of the supporting equipment - the hydraulic excavator. The problem is formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem with the objective of maximizing  the supporting force for the test device. An 85 tons excavator is picked as the case to study. The first optimal results show the excavator may not support the test system successfully. After redesigning the boom and adding its weight and length as new parameters, the second optimize results indicate the test device can work normally. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3986

Abstract

In view of personalinformation leakage risk in the process of online payment, this study putsforward a cloud protection system which can improve personal informationsecurity. The system includes two modules: personal information security modeland cloud service providers trust evaluation system. Among them, the personalinformation security model includes four layers design: the user, interface, platform and management layers. User layer is used to complete the userauthentication and login, interface layer is used for the classification andencryption of complex personal information, platform layer is used to completethe data storage, and the management layer is used to guarantee the overalleffectiveness of the system work. The cloud serviceproviders trust evaluation system based on the Theory of Membership Degree, canimprove the trust assessment level to cloud service providers. This study canensure the personal information security in the online sales, and be beneficialto the healthy development of e-commerce. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3704

Abstract

In this paper, a novel watermarking technique in contourlet transform (CT) domain is presented. The proposed algorithm takes advantage of a multiscale framework and multi-directionality to extract the significant frequency, luminance and texture component in an image. Unlike the conventional methods in the contourlet domain, mask function is accomplished pixel by pixel by taking into account the frequency, the luminance and the texture content of all the image subbands including the low-pass subband and directional subbands. The adaptive nature of the novel method allows the scheme to be adaptive in terms of the imperceptibility and robustness. The watermark is detected by computing the correlation. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the imperceptibility and the robustness against standard watermarking attacks. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3663

Abstract

Firstly, this paper develop a basic two-echelon DCSC model as the comparative benchmark in the general case of the stochastic demand effected by the service level of the retailer, where the manufacturer's optimal direct price, wholesale price and the retailer's optimal retail price were achieved under Stackelberg game. Then, through incorporate the fairness preference and risk-aversion characteristics into the basic DCSC model, the manufacturer's optimal direct price, wholesale price and the retailer's optimal retail price were obtained under Stackelberg game. At last, by the numerical simulation, the effect of fairness preference and risk aversion level on the optimal pricing strategies and utility of DCSC was examined respectively. The results show that for a DCSC with fairness preference and risk aversion members, the manufacturer and the retailer will choose a reduced price to avoid income risk even if the market demand is stable. Although the decision makers can realize the improvement of their own utility in some circumstances, the utility of the whole supply chain always presents decreasing.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3686

Abstract

The DOA (direction of arrival) estimation of seismic signals from the moving target on the ground bears great significance for unattended ground systems. The traditional DOA estimation of seismic signals is achieved by a sensor array and its corresponding algorithms. MEMS (Micro-Electro- Mechanical Systems) vector vibration sensor, however, gets the vector information over the propagation of seismic signals and therefore can get a DOA estimation within a certain range through a single vector sensor. This paper proposes a new method to extend the orientation range through the rotation of the MEMS vector vibration axis. The experiment shows that this method shares the merits with simple systematic structure, high sensitivity and less than 5 degrees of error on average, which has an extensive wide application prospect. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3893

Abstract

To reduce traffic jam caused by various data competitions for channel, we present a low delay and energy efficient network-on-chip with three channels for different type's data. Hence, the transmission for control data between cores won’t be congested by the big amount of data transmitted from caches to core, and it achieves better performance in latency and energy. Our strategy is to make a directive long wire to connect two nodes in the same row or column, and distribute these connective wires to different layers which are connected by 3D stacking technology. In the many-core system applied with this topology, every pair of core-cache nodes are at most 5 hops away while real-time and short control information is transmitted by a 2D mesh network. The experimental results show up to 23% of network latency reduction and up to 15% energy reduction when compared to a 3D network-on-chip. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.2764

Abstract

Power head with high power and large torque is the main power equipment of the rotary drilling rig. Aimed at the working condition, energy saving torque loading test program of power head was put forward and mathematical and simulation models of hydraulic energy closed-loop torque loading system were established. Combined with bond graph and state equations of torque loading system with single pump, effect of the logical relationship of discharge between the driving motor and loading pump and the relationship between the adjusting proportion of series and parallel pressure on the torque loading system was analyzed because both hydraulic flow and pressure can have an influence on the system stability. It proves that the torque loading system is stable when the adjusting proportion of series pressure is larger than that of the parallel pressure. Otherwise, it needs to consider the discharge trend between the power motor and loading pump. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3052

Abstract

With the development of technology, cloud calculation becomes a widely used technology and is regarded as the third IT revolution following the computers and the Internet. Then only after resolving its security issues, it is able to operate successfully. This paper at first introduces the concept and characteristics of cloud calculation and then elaborates the current situation of cloud calculation's security. Then it analyzes the security risks of cloud calculation. According to these risks, the solution is proposed. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3612

Abstract

The system finished the android smart mobile phone to control the intelligent car to avoid the obstacles wirelessly based on the bluetooth communication protocol. The android system is popular. But researches on applying it in the wireless sensors are very few. This paper allowed the bluetooth-enabled android phones to communicate with sensors wirelessly through our designed software. The software is installed simplely on the phones. The operator can run the software and touch the screen on the intelligent phones to drive the car. When he/she presses the front / the back/the left/the right on the LCD screen of the phones, the car can move forward / backward / the left or / the right. In addition, the gravity sensing of the smart telephone can also control the motion of the car wirelessly in the same way. The car itself can avoid the obstacle intelligently. The ultrasonic sensor can finish the rotation of the 180 degrees to detect the obstacle with the help of the steering gear. And the system also designed the PCB and made the hardware by ourself. The system has advantages of low-cost, convenience and feasibility. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3743

Abstract

To detect the sensor faults of the plant with min-disturbance, a weighted least squares interval regression model is proposed. The output of the proposed model is an interval band which can resist the disturbance influence and give correct sensor fault alarm. Additionally, the time complexity of this model is low because only a set of linear equations can determine the parameters. The experiments of fault instance demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the interval regression model. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3684
