Abstract

The control augmentation systems are very important to keep the stability and manipulability in the flight control systems. The general flight control laws are designed by static designs and dynamic fits. To improve the adaptive capability, a new method of control laws design was introduced by using dynamic optimization genetic algorithms. The control parameters were adjusted online in the flight envelope. The dynamic optimization model was built for aircraft lateral control augmentation function. The control parameters were regulated by dynamic optimization genetic algorithms. Finally an example of a lateral flight control augmentation system of an aircraft is used with a simulation. Abstract

Due to limited energy resources, excessive emission of CO2, global warming, increase of mean temperature, serious impacts have resulted on our living environment, and thus, energy saving and carbon reduction have become urgent issues. Planting grass, flowers and trees can absorb and reduce CO2, thus meeting the requirements for energy saving and carbon reduction in environmental protection. At present, most of lawns or gardens in Taiwan are maintained by manual or traditional semiautomatic watering device. Whether the lawn needs to be watered and the amount of water to be sprinkled depends on subjective decision. When the lawn is watered without examining the moisture content of the soil beforehand, it causes waste of time, labor, water and cost. The intelligent wind powered watering system developed by this study used an electromechanical integrated design system to control the humidity probe, and used the electricity generated by natural wind power and pumping device to control the sprinkling action. This system sprinkles water by sensing the soil moisture content, and stops sprinkling automatically when the soil moisture content is enough, thus achieving the purposes of cost and energy saving. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2641

Abstract

A personification heuristic Genetic Algorithm is established for the placement of digital microfluidics-based biochips, in which, the personification heuristic algorithm is used to control the packing process, while the genetic algorithm is designed to be used in multi-objective placement results optimizing. As an example, the process of microfluidic module physical placement in multiplexed in-vitro diagnostics on human physiological fluids is simulated. The experiment results show that personification heuristic genetic algorithm can achieve better results in multi-objective optimization, compare to the parallel recombinative simulated annealing algorithm. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2667

Abstract

In order to improve the interference immunity of the detector, a new CFAR detector (ACGCA-CFAR) based on automatic censoring cell averaging (ACCA) and cell averaging (CA) is presented in this paper. It takes the greatest value of ACCA and CA local estimation as the noise power estimation. Under swerling II assumption, the analytic expressions of  in homogeneous background are derived. In contrast to other detectors, the ACGCA-CFAR detector has higher detection performance both in homogeneous and nonhomogeneous backgrounds, while the sample sorting time of ACGCA is only quarter that of OS and ACCA. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2686

Abstract

Finite element technology in one-dimensional layered media of the continuous electro-media and the two-dimensional continuous electrical is displayed in ways of the special matrix equations in the variation formula and split technical conditions. To achieve a one-dimensional layered continuous electrical finite element numerical simulation of the media, the introduction of the secondary triangulation rectangular subdivision has been used to the two-dimensional numerical simulation, and using the rectangular center to set up the virtual point method to reduce the computational workload in calculation. Abstract

According to the nonlinear and time-varying uncertainty characteristics of direct drive electro-hydraulic servo control system, a self-tuning fuzzy PID control method with speed change integral and differential ahead optimizing operator is put forward by combining fuzzy inference and traditional PID control in this paper.The rule of fuzzy logic is designed, the membership function of the fuzzy subsets is determined and lookup table method is used to correcte the PID parameters in real-time. Finally the simulation is conducted with the typical input signal, such as tracking step, sine etc. The simulation results show that,the self-tuning fuzzy PID control system can effectively improve the dynamic characteristic when the system is out of the range of the operating point compared with the traditional PID control system, there is obvious improvement in the indexes of rapidity, stability and accuracy,  and fuzzy self-tuning PID Control is more robust, and more suitable for direct drive electro-hydraulic servo system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2702

Abstract

In this paper, aim at the disadvantages of standard Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm like being trapped easily into a local optimum, we improves the standard PSO and proposes a new algorithm to solve the overcomes of the standard PSO. The new algorithm keeps not only the fast convergence speed characteristic of PSO, but effectively improves the capability of global searching as well. Experiment results reveal that the proposed algorithm can find better solutions when compared to the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm. Abstract

A popular hypothesis regarding legged locomotion is that humans and other large animals walk and run in a manner that minimizes the metabolic energy expenditure for locomotion.  Here, we just consider the walking gait patterns. And we presented a hybrid model for a passive 2D walker with knees and point feet. The dynamics of this model were fully derived analytically. We have also proposed optimized virtual passive and virtual coupling control laws. This is also a simple and effective gait-generation method based on this kneed walker model, which imitates the energy behavior in every walking cycle. The control strategy is formed by taking into account the features of mechanical energy dissipation and restoration. Following the proposed method, we use computer optimization to find which gaits are indeed energetically optimal for this model. Welding residual stress was caused by local heating during the welding process, tensile residual stress reduce fatigue strength and corrosion resistance, Compressive residual stress decreases stability limit. Abstract

A new supervised LLE method based on the fisher projection was proposed in this paper, and combined it with a new classification algorithm based on manifold learning to realize the recognition of the plant leaves. Firstly,the method utilizes the Fisher projection distance to replace the sample's geodesic distance, and a new supervised LLE algorithm is obtained .Then, a classification algorithm which uses the manifold reconstruction error to distinguish the sample classification directly is adopted. This algorithm can utilize the category information better,and improve recognition rate effectively. At the same time, it has the advantage of the easily parameter estimation. The experimental results based on the real-world plant leaf databases shows its average accuracy of recognition was up to 95.17%. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2680
