Abstract

To improve the machining precision and reduce the geometric errors for 5-axis machinetool, error model and calibration are presented in this paper. Error model is realized by the theory of multi-body system and characteristic matrixes, which can establish the relationship between the cutting tool and the workpiece in theory. The accuracy calibration was difficult to achieve, but by a laser approach-laser interferometer and laser tracker, the errors can be displayed accurately which is benefit for later compensation. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3022

Abstract

The data transmission between GPUS in the existing multi_GPU computing card is often through PCIE which is in relative low speed, so the PCIE has become bottleneck of Overall performance. A novel architecture of multi_GPU computing card have been proposed in this paper: A multi-channel memory which have multiple interfaces is added, including one common interface shared by different GPUs, which is connected with a FPGA arbitration circuit and several other interfaces connected with dedicated GPUs frame buffer independently, and this multi-channel memory is called "global shared memory". The result of a simulation of accelerating computer tomography algebraic reconstruction on multi-GPU demonstrates effectiveness of this approach. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3038

Abstract

Most of testing and evaluations of emotion model in the field of affective computing are self-evaluation, which aims at the application-specific background, while the research on the problem of the Benchmark emotional model is scarce. This paper firstly proposed the feasibility of making psychological test paradigm a part of artificial Benchmark engine, and with taking versatility and effectiveness as the evolutional factor to judge the engine by testing psychological paradigms. In addition, an emotional hidden Markov model is built and tested based on the Benchmark theory. The detailed simulation process of the experiment is given.  The testing resultants are coincide with the real world’s situation. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3067

Abstract

The sintering process is a complex process with the characteristics of uncertainty, multivariable coupling, time-varying and time-delay. The Burning-Through-Point (BTP) , which is a import parameter in sintering process , is affected by many reasons and difficult to be controlled to the required precision by conventional control methods. This paper presents a new time-series forecasting methods, which is called Bayesian Least Squares Support Vector Machines(LS-SVM).  The method applies the Bayesian evidence flame work to infer automatically model parameters of LS-SVM regression.ALS-SVM model is proposed on the basis of the Bayesian LS-SVM models. Several intelligent forecasting key techniques of sintered ore’s chemical components including algorithms of nonlinear SVM in regression approximation, selection of kernel functions and parameters and standardizing of sample data,Bayesian evidence flame-work are studied ; and the control schedules of  BTP based on interval optimization are analyzed. At last, a new intelligent forecasting system of BTP are designed and implemented. Experiment results show that the LS-SVM prediction designed within the Bayesian evidence framework consistently yields good generalization performances, which the method of combining Bayesian theory and LS-SVM is faster and more accurate for the BTP in compare with BP neural network and GM(1,1). DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3087

Abstract

The positioning accuracy of computer numerical control machines tools and manufacturing systems is affected by structural deformations, especially for large sized systems. Structural deformations of the machine body are difficult to model and to predict. Researchs for the direct measurement of the amount of deformation and its compensation are farly limited in domestic and overseas, not involved to calculate the amount of deformation compensation. A new method to compensate large deformation caused by self-weight was presented in the paper. First of all, the compensation method is summarized; Then, static force analysis was taken on the large grinding machine through APDL(ANSYS Parameter Design Language). It could automatic extract results and form data files, getting the N points displacement in the working stroke of mechanical arm. Then, the mathematical model and corresponding flat rectangular function were established. The conclusion that the new compensation method is feasible was obtained through the analysis of displacement of N points. Finally, the MATLAB as a tool is used to calculate compensate amount and the accuracy of the proposed method is proved. Practice shows that the error caused by large deformatiion compensation method can meet the requirements of grinding. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3132

Abstract

Metro supply system composed of PWM rectifier, i.e. supply system with bi-directional power flow, contributes much to improve supply quality. However, the electrolytic capacitors, working as DC-side supporting capacitor, are relatively weakest in the whole system, so that state estimation for electrolytic capacitor should be taken into consideration. In view of the difficulty in application of conventional capacitor estimation approach with voltage and current ripples into PWM rectifier, this paper proposes a novel approach, which first searches into capacitor’s aging mechanism, presents approximate relation between capacitance and equivalent serial resistance of electrolytic capacitor through mathematical fitting, and then derives the discrete iterative equations of  capacitance and equivalent serial resistance from the analytical model of PWM rectifier. Finally, capacitor state estimation is combined with Miner criterion, which implies digital accumulated damage principle. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3049

Abstract

In order to make the electronic design contest and reform of experiment teaching to support and promote each other and improve students' practical and innovative ability, the paper analyzed the requirements on the students' ability of comprehensive knowledge application and practice by NUEDC, and the deficiencies of the depth and scope of electronic information professional practice curriculum. Use the issues-based, project-based and case-based engineering education philosophy and teaching methods as orientation. The way of practice teaching reform and the effect of the reform from six aspects are also discussed: the construction of hierarchy practice teaching system, the seminar and the optimizing of teaching content, the engineering teaching method, the experimental teaching environment and full control of network-assisted teaching platform. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3144
