Abstract

With the wide application of the underwater vehicle in ocean exploration, bionics propulsion aroused intensive interest among researchers. Bionic locomotion of aquatic animals has the advantages of highly maneuver, power-efficient endurance and so on. In the paper the mechanism of duck’s swimming is studied and a novel bionics propulsion mechanism is designed and analyzed. The mechanics of underwater vehicle is investigated by ADAMS. Dynamics response of the system is analyzed by using numerical method. The simulation results suggest that the designed propulsion mechanism can imitate the movement modes of the duck’s webbed feet, and implement the motion of vehicle in fluid environment. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3133

Abstract

Users in mobile Ad Hoc networks (MANET) usually encrypt their data packets to resist the evasdroppers, which makes the network management and Intrution detection difficult. However, user behavior, ultimately displayed as traffic flow, shows regularity along time. This paper aims to study the regularity through studding the timing relationship between traffic flows, whose results provide the technical support for user behavior analysis. First, segment the end-to-end flows based on the information of time intervals and packet lengths. Second, cluster the segments by an improved maximum-distance method. Third, analyze the time relationship between the clusters, i.e., traffic flow types, based on the clustering results. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3145

Abstract

This paper dissertates the application of Virtual Reality Technology in the training process. Virtual training system has more advantages than traditional training system. The design of virtual training system based on PTC DIVISION Mockup software, position tracker and 3-D mouse is proposed. The system is divided into two parts: directing part and operating part. Collision detection is discussed to improve the sense of reality in the virtual environment .This system is applied to the training process of hydraulic pump cart’s assembly and disassembly. More immersive training effect is obtained in this system. The goal of reducing training costs and improving the efficiency of training can be achieved in the virtual training system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3026

Abstract

This paper presents the design of a Class A/B power amplifier (PA) for 2.4-2.4835GHz Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) system in 0.18μm CMOS technology. The PA adopts the single-stage differential structure and the output power of the PA can be controlled by switching the sizes of transistors. Seven different level of output power can be obtained through a three- bit control code. The tested results shows that the proposed PA achieves power added efficiency (PAE) of 26.73% while delivering an output power of 6.35dBm at 1dB compression point. Its power gain is 15.87dB. With a low DC voltage supply of 1V, its power consumption is 15.3mW. The PA die size is 1070×610μm2. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3050

Abstract

To realize privacy data protection efficiently in hybrid cloud service, a hierarchical control architecture based multi-cluster MapReduce programming model (the Hierarchical MapReduce Model,HMR) is presented. Under this hierarchical control architecture,  data isolation and placement among private cloud and public clouds according to the data privacy characteristic is implemented by the control center in private cloud.  And then, to perform the corresponding distributed parallel computation correctly under the multi-clusters mode that is different to the conventional single-cluster mode, the Map-Reduce-GlobalReduce three stage scheduling process is designed. Limiting the computation about privacy data in private cloud while outsourcing the computation about non-privacy data to public clouds as much as possible, HMR reaches the performance of both security and low cost. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3083

Abstract

From the angle of compensation subject and compensation object, the interest involved with stakeholder was analyzed. Based on game theory, the relation between government and coal mine enterprise was analyzed. Through the research, the government should constraint the coal mine enterprise behavior, set up coal resources development environmental impact compensation incentive mechanism, increase coal resources exploitation and environmental compensation violations punishment, and incentive the coal mining enterprises. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3128

Abstract

To balance three-phase loads in distribution network with abundant of single-phase loads, a new wiring method and three-phase loads adjustment policy was proposed in this paper. In the wiring method, a single-phase load was connected with phase A, B and C of trunk line by a controller. When the load of trunk line was unbalanced, the controller will switch the connected single-phase loads from one phase to another to balance it. The minimum count of loads adjustment algorithm and the most balance adjustment algorithm were proposed, which can adjust the three-phase load of trunk line to roughly balance automatically. This method can solve the serious three-phase unbalance problems of the trunk lines with aboundant of single-phase loads. It may instead of capacitive compensation in low voltage distribution network to improve power quality and reduce network losses. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3031

Abstract

The neural network control model of automobile automatic transmission has been developed, which make the optimum shift decision based on the vehicle velocity, the vehicle acceleration and the throttle opening. The MAX-MIN ant syste (MMAS) is introduced to train the neural network weights and thresholds. The basic theory and steps of MMAS algorithm are given, and applied in the automatic transmission shift control. Experimental results show that the automatic transmission shift control system based on MMAS, comparing to the system based on ACO-BP, has better capability of gear recognition, and can make shift decision promptly and effectively. Abstract

An approach to calculate the wind farm penetration capacity based on chance constrained programming combining with transient check was presented. A novel model for programming penetration of wind farm under indeterminacy operating mode was presented. Constraint condition consisted of conventional generator output limits, system spinning reserve, transmission lines capability, nodal voltage, system frequency etc, and genetic algorithm based on Monte Carlo simulating was used to solve the problem, and the actual sample system verified the feasibility of the model and method. Results for the application of this approach revealed the influencing factors of penetration of wind farm consisted of the parallel node voltage, the output variation range of wind generating set and mean wind speed etc. The research results have important practical significance, which can guide the actual wind farms in the planning and operation analysis of reality wind farm. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3045

Abstract

Errors appear when the Shannon sampling series is applied to reconstruct a signal in practice. This is because the sampled values may not be exact, or the sampling series may have to be truncated. In this paper, we study errors in truncated sampling series with localized sampling for band-limited functions from weighted Bernstein class. And we apply these results to some practical examples. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3078
