Abstract

Four-ball tester is a device which is used to evaluate the resistance of extreme pressure grease performance and wear resistance with simple structure, less fuel consumption and low cost. It has been widely used in Lubricants research. In this paper, the principle and testing equipment of four-ball tester are introduced. At the same time, some shortcomings such as inconvenient load mechanism and inaccurate measurements are presented. Friction testing and recording system is improved on the basic of the previous system to avoid the defects. Amplification ratio of the friction test result increases significantly.  To improve precision and convenience for data storing, analysis and comparison, data acquisition system is established based on LabVIEW. Then friction measurement process is visualization to realize the measured results being observed visually. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3103

Abstract

In this paper, a frequent itemsets mining algorithm of data stream based on concept lattice and sliding window is presented. This algorithm mines frequent concepts for new inflowing basic window in batches in a sliding window and generates concept lattice Hasse diagram. With introduction into small support degreeand error factorto do the pruning operations for non-frequent concept node, each connection point in the Hasse diagram contains the information of frequent itemsets and support degree. As the generation of Hasse diagram in the new basic windows, we integrate concept lattice vertically with the generated Hasse diagram and sliding window, and ultimately output all frequent itemsets through scanning all the graph nodes of Hasse diagram graph. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a good performance. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3140

Abstract

The intrusion detection system and technology of classified layered-wireless sensor network was able to meet the high safety requirements of wireless sensor network, it is urgent for us to improve the identification and generalization of detection system about characters of intrusion. In this paper, we design an intelligent intrusion detection system which realize intelligence, the effective and direct way was to add the methods,  and it was used for identification and generalization of intrusion characters to the Agent function of intrusion detection. It could obtain credible judgment by updating and examining the database for the actions which the general misuse detection or anomaly detection were not sure if the intrusion was formed. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.2347

Abstract

we consider the actual situation of wartime equipment support and the different life of the old and new spare parts, in-depth analyze the impact of spare parts scheduling on the support degree, and establishe support degree model of the three-levels spare parts scheduling. According to the characteristics of the model, the introduction of the classic scheduling algorithm for optimization of spare parts, can effectively improve the efficiency of support, the last example shows that the effectiveness of the method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3040

Abstract

In this paper, two types of microwave moisture measurement instruments were designed and compared with microwave dryness method and attenuation method separately. Compared with traditional moisture measurement instruments, the moisture instrument with microwave dryness method can detected the moisture content rapidly with high precision. On the other hand, the moisture instrument with microwave attenuation method can detect the moisture content with much higher speed but low precision, which can be used in the online measurement system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3073

Abstract

Taking into account the disadvantage of the potential loss of accuracy due to the overmodeling at these nonmaneuvering times in the interacting multiple model (IMM) method, an improved IMM algorithm based on the Viterbi technique and the model probability cumulant is proposed. First, select one or two optimal models from the model set to enhance the model utilization rate. Then, judge the variation of the target motion state according to the maneuvering detection mechanism based on the model probability cumulant, and finally switch the different IMM methods. Simulation results show that the proposed method has an enhanced performance in tracking a maneuvering target. DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3089

Abstract

The dynamics of modern interconnected power system is characterized by low frequency oscillations (LFOs) which are produced as results of various disturbances such as changes in loads, tripping of lines, faults, and other discrete events. A data-driven empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method is applied to the detection of low frequency oscillation modes from disturbed trajectory with its strong non-stationary signal processing capability, but the mode mixing phenomenon serious impact on the analysis credibility and accuracy of EMD method. In this paper, an anti mode mixing EMD composite algorithm is proposed for detecting the characteristics of LFOs in power system. First, the improved frequency heterodyne method is proposed to increase the spectral distance between adjacent mode components in order to meet the octave resolution requirements. Second, the wavelet singularity detection technology is proposed to determine the adaptive sliding analysis window for each mode, in which there implements the intermittency mixed modes separation and their nonstationary parameters identification. Finally, the analysis result of interconnected grid test case verify that the proposed algorithm can effectively overcome the impact of the mode mixing existed in EMD and improve the characteristics detection accuracy of LFOs characteristics. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3134

Abstract

E-Prime is a suite of applications to fulfill researchers’ computerized experiment needs. Praat is a free software program for the analysis of speech in phonetics with which phoneticians can analyze, synthesize, and manipulate speech. SPSS is a software program which can be used for doing statistical analysis of the collected data. These computer software programs are applied in the present study which aims to explore the consonant acquisition of Putonghua (Modern Standard Chinese) by native speakers of Uyghur. The difficulty hierarchy of the Chinese consonants for the Uyghur learners of Chinese is found out through the perception experiment. The results of the experiment support the Markedness Differential Hypothesis. In addition, it shows that the second language speech acquisition is influenced by both the first and also the target language phonological system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3146

Abstract

In this paper, we firstly devise a new and general p-ary subdivision scheme based on normal vectors with multi-parameters to generate fractals. Rich and colorful fractals including some known fractals and a lot of unknown ones can be generated directly and conveniently by using it uniformly. The method is easy to use and effective in generating fractals since the values of the parameters and the directions of normal vectors can be designed freely to control the shape of generated fractals. Secondly, we illustrate the technique with some design results of fractal generation and the corresponding fractal examples from the point of view of visualization, including the classical Lévy curves, Dragon curves, Sierpiński gasket, Koch curve, Koch-type curves and other fractals. Finally, some fractal properties of the limit of the presented subdivision scheme, including existence, self-similarity, non-rectifiability, and continuity but nowhere differentiability are described from the point of view of theoretical analysis. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3025

Abstract

C-V model can self-adapt to the changes of curve topology but requires more iterations and needs more computing time. Graph cuts algorithm is good at getting the global optimum in a short time but not suitable for concave object extraction. To overcome the flaws of these two algorithms, an optimized iteration algorithm has been proposed. First the initial contour is deformed with an improved C-V model, which was without re-initialization during iterative process and the iteration stop condition is set by calculating changing area within the contour. Then the active contour is input to graph cuts algorithm. Dilates the contour into its neighborhood and formed an inner and an outer boundary seperatively, changes these two boundaries as source and sink, and obtains the final contour by graph cuts. Experiments show that this optimized algorithm reduces the iteration time, and has better effect and higher efficiency for image segmentation. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3035
