Abstract

Based on the bionic theory and the analyzed of movement mechanism for six-legged insect, the principle of tripod gait movement for walking robot was analyzed in this paper, and basic parameters and the principle of relative movement theory on gait research were discussed. Then the hexapod walking robot was assembled by using the component of Fischertechnik. With the characters of simple connective structure, unique design, this robot can walk forward and backward and can avoid mini-barrier. The experiment showed that this robot has good mobility and stability. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3898

Abstract

With the use of data for embedded GIS system continues to increase and the requirement of application for embedded GIS system continues to improve, the quad-tree index algorithms and block classification data organization mode that are currently used to handle large amounts of data reflects a certain limitation. combining the characteristics of embedded GIS data, the author put forward the multi-level data indexing and dynamic data loading ,and realize the data loading when required, and enhance the real-time response speed, solves the limitation on large volume data. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3967

Abstract

The measurement data of parameter in the electrical equipment contains many noises in subway integrated monitoring system. To eliminate the impact of gross error in the measurement data, a polynomial least square curve fitting algorithm is used in this paper. Based on the Rajda criterion, the algorithm gives the variance estimation of the noises, and then uses dynamic threshold to detect and replace the measurement data with gross error by statistical estimation. Finally, a data processing procedure has been presented to deal with the gross error. The practical application indicates that the proposed algorithm can effectively eliminate the gross error in many types of measurement signals so as to ensure the reliability of the monitoring system. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4145

Abstract

Traditional particle filter cannot accommodate to the environment of background interferences, illumination variations and occlusions. This paper presents a face tracking method with fusion of color histogram, contour features and grey model based on particle filter. First, it brought in contour features as the main cue of multiple features when tracking the face without stable color histogram. Then, as prior information was neglected in traditional particle filter, this paper employed GM(1,1) model to yield proposal distribution, such that the proposal distribution would bear a higher approximation to posterior probability. Finally, in the importance sampling step, sampling was corresponded to the particle weight in case of the particle degradation. The experiments show that our method outperformed the previous with more accuracy and flexibility, particularly under the condition of color background interferences, drastic illumination variations and complete occlusions. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3381

Abstract

A new certificateless blind ring signature scheme was proposed in this paper. The scheme could not only avoid the problem of certificate management of public key certificate cryptography, but also overcome the inherent key-escrow problem of identity-based public key cryptography. In the last, by using bilinear pairing technique, it was proved that this scheme satisfied the security of existential unforgeability, blindness and unconditional anonymity. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3382

Abstract

As millimeter wave (MMW) electronic technologies have matured, the MMW imaging using for human security inspection is emerging as an effective approach to imaging through obscuring materials, such as clothing for concealed weapons detection or plastic mines. This paper introduces temperature sensitivity firstly and then the fringe-washing functions are derived which decide the structure the antenna array and the receivers of the system BHU-2D. Finally, the fringe-washing functions and their phases are calculated from the frequency responses of 24-receiver, they all show good consistency of the receivers which also can be proved from the test results of receivers. From the final imaging of our system, the 1-2K temperature sensitivity is realized successfully. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3012

Abstract

A novel two-phase doubly salient permanent magnet machine (FMDSPM) with new winding configuration is proposed in this paper. This machine is identical to the existing doubly salient permanent magnet machine (DSPM) with respect to the mechanical structure, whereas the winding configuration is totally different from that in the latter. The structure and operation principle of FMDSPM is analyzed, and power and sizing equations are derived analytically, which provides the designer with initial calculation to determine the motor frame. Allowing for the new winding configuration utilized, the magnetic features of FMDSPM are investigated by using the FEA. The results show that this new machine is suitable to the application of DC square wave, and the output torque produced is smoother due to no cumbersomely commutating torque ripples compared with the existing DSPM. Further, the prototype is fabricated to validate the above analysis. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3912Keywords:

Abstract

This article instructs the subsequent water detection system design and implementation of sanitary ware. This system used C8051f040 Microcontroller as the main control module and communication module which controlled the operation of the entire system, touch screen as a position machine, and made use of metal probing technique and weighing sensor technology to realize data test、collection、display、storage and export. At last, the experimental results showed that this system meet the expected requirement and can measure the subsequent water more accurately. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4140

Abstract

This paper presents a bearing run-to-failure data simulation model for condition based maintenance, in which a single point outrace fault can be implemented. According to the characteristic that bearing life follows the Weibull distribution, amount of bearing run-to-failure datasets can be simulated which can be used to verify the feature extraction, remaining useful life prediction and maintenance decision methods particularly the methods which use Proportional hazard model. A case study simulating 6205-2RS JEM SKF bearing run-to-failure data is done detailed. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3607

Abstract

In this paper, we apply fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method in the decision process of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) spectrum handoff. Based on the pre-determined target spectrum list model, considering the multiple indicators which influence the handoff performance, we designed a spectrum handoff method based on spectrum reservation strategy. Simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper exceeds the random handoff algorithm without channel order, it can significantly reduce the handoff frequency and time overhead of cognitive users, reduce the system delay and improve the system throughput. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3573
