Abstract

Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) are usually equipped with vision sensors. However, the underwater images captured by AUV often suffer from effects such as diffusion, scatter and caustics. So image enhancement methods are necessary to increase visual quality. A Median filter de-noising approach based on multi-wavelet transform was proposed to remove the impulse noise viewed as random noise from the blurred underwater image. Biorthogonal muti-wavelet has two scaling functions that may generate different multiresolution analysis, so it was chosen as the basic wavelet for underwater image two-layer decomposition and reconstruction. On this basis, the blurred underwater image was decomposed and reconstructed adopting Biorthogonal and the Median filter was applied for removing the impulse noise form the decomposition images of each layer. Four indexes were involved to evaluate the performance of de-noising. The results show that the proposed approach provides superior results compared to other de-noising method. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4505

Abstract

Ontology is an explicit formal specification of the shared conceptual model. Domain ontology can accurately describe the contents of the e-commerce site in the stage of built domain ontology. Web domain ontology can effectively improve the quality of the recommended use of the e-commerce personalized recommendation. The paper presents construction of e-commerce recommendation system based on semantic annotation of ontology and user preference.  In this paper domain ontology semantic annotation for the project is established, and this ontology takes advantage of semantic similarity measure to calculate the semantic similarity between the projects, and it can predict the score of unbranded items based on user ratings. The experimental results show that the algorithm recommended more effective than traditional algorithms, to improve the quality of the recommended. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4132

Abstract

To improve the accuracy of clustering classification, the Chaos Immune Algorithm was proposed. In this algorithm, the ergodic property of chaos phenomenon is used to optimize the initial population, so it can accelerate the convergence of Immune Algorithms. Chaotic systems are sensitive to initial condition system parameters. Through the clone selection operator, antibody circulation and supplement, Clone operator and excellent individual chaotic disturbance, local optimums were avoided, so the global optimization was obtained. As for this issue, chaotic immune algorithm, ALECO-2, BPMA and BP algorithm were applied to test the algorithm performance in two group experiments. Theory and experiment showed that the Chaos Immune Algorithm can get global optimum clustering center, and greatly improve the amplitude of operation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4426

Abstract

With the popularity and the rapid development of social networks, microblog has also obtained great attention and gotten wide application. Microblog may produce a large amount of information per second. The real-time search is a critical technology to timely get the latest high-quality information from microblog. A new real-time search framework based on meta-search engine and a query classification algorithm of microblog was put forward. The classification and indexing process is based on the partial indexing mechanism to improve retrieval efficiency. The classification algorithm divides queries into the candidate queries and the popular queries, and takes separate storage strategy. Test results show that the classification algorithm can reduce real-time search time and improve the efficiency of retrieval. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4497

Abstract

This paper uses historical data of Shanghai 50 Index as sample data, replaces traditional optimization methods with genetic algorithm, uses clustering analysis method to build tracking portfolio, and compares the empirical results with those of traditional optimization methods. The empirical results of Shanghai 50 index show that using genetic algorithm for index tracking can get better performance with lower volatility. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4801

Abstract

A reference currentdetection algorithm based on synchronous reference frame transformation and discrete Fourier transformation is presented for STATCOM (Static SynchronousCompensator) to provide synthetic compensation. The proposed algorithm can be used to extract reactive currents, unbalanced currents and characteristic harmonic currents from the load currents in real time. This algorithm allows the simultaneous compensation of two current harmonics with just one regulator, yieldinga significant reduction of the computational effort compared with other methods. The results of simulation and experiment show the validity of this method DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4451

Abstract

The storeroom of live working insulated tools of power system has some special requirements such as temperature and humidity. In general, the temperature is stabilized at a particular value and the humidity is higher than a certain value. The storeroom temperature and humidity are mainly controlled by the heater, dehumidifier and air-conditioning compressor. In order to well maintain the stability of the temperature, fuzzy neural network is used to control temperature which makes parameters and rules optimized by the neural network learning. So the designed controller has strong self-adapting character in controlling process. In order to improve learning speed, GA algorithm is used to optimize those initial values of fuzzy reasoning networks. And in order to overcome the shortcoming of local optimization, designed learning parameters can be adjusted according to error and error change in training. Simulating experiment shows that the designed controller has better controlling effect than other conventional controller and which can be used in the storeroom of live working insulation tools in power system. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4448

Abstract

Pseudo-random signal has potential value as ranging system’s signal since it has noise-like character, excellent autocorrelation and large time bandwidth character. The theory of the ranging system based on pseudo-random signal and how system works will be introduced in detail in this paper. We learned that the quality of signal generated by pseudo-random signal generator is very good through observing frequency domain chart, autocorrelation chart and time domain chart of signal. Quite accurate result can be got through dealing with experiment dates. It turned out that pseudo-random signal can be applied efficiently in ranging system and accuracy is quite high in field experiment. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4458

Abstract

Content Distribution Network (CDN) is an effective approach to improve the quality of Internet service. This paper firstly reviews some of the related works which have contributed to the current state of-the-art; the focus is on the fundamental assumptions, mathematical models and specific references to solution approaches. What’s more, a mathematical programming formulation based on combinatorial optimization problem in content distribution networks is proposed, and then a corresponding heuristic algorithm for this optimization problem is given, the total cost of this model is studied in CDN. Finally, the theoretical analysis shows that the proposed algorithm performs better than previous algorithms DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4536

Abstract

As known that Ad hoc networks are made of a group of portable terminals and has many wireless transmitter as multi-hops autonomy system. While Ad hoc networks are very easy to be attacked by various kinds of network attacks, because it has limited resources, dynamic topology and open communication channel, etc. The wormhole attack is the common attack method, and it is an internal attack against routing protocols in the Ad hoc networks, the research on security of routing protocols against wormhole attack in the Ad hoc networks is to avoid the wormhole attack. In the study, the security routing mechanisms against wormhole attack in the Ad hoc networks are presented, on the basis of deeply research on wormhole attack principles and models. The modelling method and related simulations are presented in detailed to verify the effectiveness of security routing mechanisms. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i3.4062
