Abstract

Itis well-known that information security means the protection of information, and ensuring the availability, confidentiality and integrity of information. The purposeof this paper is to present an improved RBF neural network method forinformation evaluation. Ant colony optimization is a multi-agent approach fordifficult combinatorial optimization problems, which has been applied tovarious NP hard problems. Here, ant colony optimization algorithm is applied tooptimize the parameters of RBF neural network. In this paper, we employ  “unauthorized access”, “unauthorized accessto a system resource”, “data leakage”, “denial of service”, “unauthorizedmodification data and software”, “system crash” as the features of informationsecurity evaluation. It is indicated that the information security evaluation error of the improvedRBF neural network is smaller than that of the RBF neural network. Thus, theimproved RBF neural network is very suitable for information security evaluation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4806

Abstract

Most of the existing reliability analysis is based on exponential distribution which is convenient to calculation, whereas most intelligent electronic devices exhibit Weibull distribution. What kind of influence will life distribution have on the reliability and availability of a smart substation. This paper compares the reliability and availability of systems with different life distributions based on reliability block diagram and Monte-Carlo simulation, by treating the smart substations as non-repairable and repairable systems respectively. Simulation results proves the feasibility of substituting Weibull distribution with exponential distribution in engineering practice when the smart substations are treated as repairable systems, thus the life data estimation as well as the reliability analysis and calculation will be greatly simplified. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4833

Abstract

Modeling of regulating system of large pumped storage power station with long pipeline and parameters optimization in transient processes are studied in this paper. According to the actual parameters of a certain pumped storage power station, MATLAB/Simulink toolbox is utilized for modeling and simulation of its subsystems. Friction resistance coefficient and water elasticity are taken into consideration in modeling of pressure diversion syste。As to simulate hydraulic vibration characters, BP neural network and RBF neural network are adopted in modeling of pump turbine. Based on the established regulating system simulation model, improved orthogonal experiment method is applied in parameters optimization of no-load frequency disturbance, load disturbance and load shedding transient processes. According to the results, the proposed model reflect the actual characteristics of pumped storage units, and improved orthogonal experiment method is effective in figuring out the optimal parameters group within the given range. This paper provides guidance for modeling of regulating system of large pumped storage units, and set references and theoretical basis for actual optimal control of transient processes in pumped storage units. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4730

Abstract

Based on the nonlinear model of airship pitch channel, a kind of sliding mode control method is designed without any prior information about airship parameters. The adaptive turning law is adopted to solve the unknown information of airship in model. So the whole information for controller can used are only the measurement of pith angle and its angle speed. Detailed simulation are done for two situations such as airship flying with big trust and small trust Numerical simulation results shows that the airship can fly smooth and safe. Especially, the controller can use the same group of parameters during all kinds of above flying conditions. So it shows that the proposed method is reasonable and effective. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4754

Abstract

The empirical risk minimization methods were often used to estimate the multifunctional sensor regression function in signal reconstruction. The small size of sample data would lead to the problem of poor generalization capability and overfitting. Support vector machine (SVM) is a novel machine learning method based on structural risk minimization, and it can improve generalization capability and restrain overfitting. In this paper, an optimal ν Support Vector Regression (ν-SVR) algorithms have been proposed for multifunctional sensor reconstruction, which combined ν-SVR with particle swarm optimization (PSO), achieving accurate estimation of both the hyperparameters and reconstruction function. The results of emulation and theory analysis indicate that the proposed algorithm is more accurate and reliable for signal reconstruction. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4204

Abstract

The characters of fixed working hours table including the large amount of input and uncertainty of number of input parameters, make the encoding method has great influence on design method of traditional BP network combining genetic algorithm. This paper analyzes the features of searching ability of the traditional BP and genetic algorithm, based on which combining the quantum calculation and neutral model to compose quantum neurons. Then the quantum neurons are expanded to quantum neutral network to replace the traditional neutral network. Comparing to the drawbacks of the traditional genetic algorithm, the paper adopts a variation clamping mechanism. The mechanism gradually narrows the genetic operation space by fixing not sensitive single gene locus in the populations, so that the gene loci do not meet the requirements are more likely to participate in crossover and mutation to accelerate the speed up the genetic algorithm optimization and prevent it from falling into local extreme value. Finally, based on fixed table of mechanical standard working hours, compared to a variety of commonly used methods, the improved algorithm has better performance. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4244

Abstract

We propose mutual authentication and session key exchange protocols based on certificates for the Internet of Things. We also propose an improved version for the conventional certificate-based systems. Our protocol is efficient, it requires fewer messages and only one session key. It gives use a new method to deal with such as preventing tampering and preventing interference security problems. In designing the security protocol proposed here, the low computational power of the wireless sensors nodes and the low bandwidth of the wireless networks are considered. It is good as low computational complexity and cannot be forged. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4775

Abstract

An improved evolutionary algorithm (SCAGA) is proposed in this paper for solving optimization problem. In order to control genetic operations in an effective range, the new algorithm regulate both of the crossover probability and mutation probability with the iteration process. In addition, SCAGA presents a new crossover strategy that restricts the cross of the chromosomes to some extent to protect good genes schema. We also perform the schema theorem on the algorithm process to analyze the working mechanism of SCAGA, and we conclude that the new algorithm is effective. According to experiment results for some test functions and TSP problems, SCAGA have a high performance in both constrained an unconstrained optimization problems. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4785

Abstract

500kV substation is especially important to the grid of our country, once it encounters lightning damage, the safety and reliability of the whole power system will be directly affected. As lightning intruding waves will cause overvoltage on electric equipments by intruding from the transmission line or straightly stroking the substation, which seriously influences the insulation level of equipments, so it is essential to calculate overvoltage on electric equipments when substation struck by lightning to ensure their safe operation under the protection of arrester. As for the new connection mode of extension project of Yantan 500kV substation, numerical model of hydropower equipments is established and electromagnetic transient simulation calculation software of ATP/EMTP is used for calculation of overvoltage on electric equipments. According to the result, conclusions about strong insulating of incoming line towers, importance of lightning shielding failure intruding waves and influence of power frequency voltage on lightning intruding overvoltage in 500 kV substation can be drawn. This is the first-time study on overvoltage in 500kV substation extension project and has certain practical guidance. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4796
