Abstract

According to the diversity of geological conditions involved in railway location design, different types of geological objects were classified and indexed, and proposed the modeling method based on multiple sub-bases. It used the computer's internal and external representation in geological knowledge representation. In computer external, it used object-oriented class-rules knowledge representation model, added credibility to the object-oriented knowledge representation model, and then achieved fuzzy representation of knowledge. In order to achieve visual representation of external knowledge representation, text, images and three-dimensional virtual reality technology were used. According to the ambiguity of geological knowledge, it realized uncertainty reasoning of the part based on rule condition and conclusions.

Abstract

The ampacity of GIS bus bars is limited by the maximum operation temperature of the contacts. This paper employs the coupled eddy current, fluid and thermal finite-element method (FEM) to solve the three-dimensional (3-D) heat transfer problem in a three-phase enclosed GIS bus bar. The contact resistance is considered and described as a resistor between the conductor and the contact finger. In order to avoid convective boundary condition on the tank surface which is not easy to apply, the ambient air is introduced into the solution region. The temperature dependent thermal properties of SF6 gas and air are considered. The temperatures calculated by proposed model are found to be in good agreement with the experimental data of a 126 kV three-phase enclosed bus bar prototype.

Abstract

A direct virtual power control algorithm is presented in this paper for VSC-HVDC startup. This control algorithm is based on direct power control (DPC) and expands the range of DPC. When the VSC converter AC side open circuit or the AC side current is zero, the control algorithm maintains the DPC feedback loop by introducing a virtual power, so that the DPC is able to control the AC output voltage amplitude and frequency stability before the VSC converter connecting to the grid network and keep consistent with the grid connection point. This algorithm process is simple, containing most of the DPC control module, and consistent with the DPC structure. Therefore, the control algorithm switches smoothly before and after the VSC converter connecting to the grid. This paper uses PSCAD / EMTDC software platform and laboratory hardware circuit experiments to test and verify the correctness and validity of the control algorithm.

Abstract

The paper proposes a new output feedback adaptive tracking control scheme using neural network for a class of uncertain non-affine nonlinear systems that only the system output variables can be measured. The scheme adopts low-pass filter to transform non-affine nonlinear systems into affine in the pseudo-input dynamics. No state observer is employed and few adapting parameters to be tuned and Lipschiz assumption, SPR condition are not required. Only the output error is used in control laws and weights update laws which make the system construct simple. Boundedness for the output tracking error and all states in the closed-loop system are guaranteed, and simulation results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract

The paper presents a new digital image hiding algorithm based on wavelet packets transform and singular value decomposition. The low-frequency sub-band of wavelet packets transform has strong anti-jamming capacity and the singular value has very strong stability. The presented algorithm implements bit plane decomposition on the secret image and wavelet packet decomposition on the carrier image. Then, it hides the bit planes with important information into the singular value matrix of the low frequency coefficient matrix, and also hides the bit planes with secondary information into the remainder sub-band matrix with higher entropy energy. The hiding location is adaptively determined by the carrier image. The experimental results indicate that, the proposed image hiding algorithm has strong robustness and anti-attack, and it also has good invisibility and big capability.

Abstract

The distribution information of game maps is highly relevant to the execution efficiency of path searching and the degree of game difficulty. This paper analyzes the relationship between the pathfinding performance and the obstacles distribution in maps from two aspects, pathfinding algorithm design and game’s map design respectively. A hierarchical pathfinding algorithm called CDHPA* is proposed by incorporating the obstacle distribution in traditional HPA* algorithm.  It is used to hierarchical path search in those maps where the obstacles are densely distributed. On the other hand, a map complexity metric is defined based on the accumulation of xor calculations of given maps. This measure describes the complexity of a map and hence could reflect the performance of pathfinding algorithms, which could provide references for game maps design. The experimental results have validated the proposed analysis.

Abstract

According to traffic information of multi-source heterogeneity and complexity of information processing, the architecture of the dynamic traffic information platform based on middleware is proposed, which enhanced the system stability, generality, and efficiency depending on the high integration and scalability of middleware. This middleware-based platform unifies and encodes the data from all sorts of detectors, and integrates the multi-mode transmission, data preprocessing, and data fusion. On the publishing stage, this platform realizes the interactions between different publishing devices and traffic database through an independent traffic information publishing middleware. The proposed platform overcomes the data loss and data noise, decreases the data redundancy due to the heterogeneous multi-source data, and ensures the data accuracy with better security and expandability. The performance is efficient, reliable with cross-platform information transmission.

Abstract

The contacts of high-voltage switchgear will heat and cause safety hazards due to poor contact while running. A Zigbee-based wireless network sensor was designed by the authors of this paper for real-time monitoring of high voltage switchgear when contact temperature rises. This paper first gives a brief introduction to the Zigbee protocol, the protocol stack and the network topology, and then makes an elaboration on the system framework, hardware and software designs of the Zigbee wireless sensor and the design of high-voltage bootstrap power supply. In the end, the field application and analysis proves that based on the Zigbee technology, the online monitoring system of the temperature rise for high-voltage switchgear is stable and capable of real-time reporting the true temperature of the contact. Therefore, the design has the characteristics of high stability, low power consumption, low cost, as well as high flexibility and scalability.

Abstract

This paper presents a new method based on wavelet for a class of nonlinear hybrid systems identification. Hybrid systems identification is composed of two problems; estimate the discrete modes or switch among the system modes and estimate continues submodels. In this paper, we assumed that haven’t any prior knowledge about data classification and submodels identification. Also the combining of feature vector selection algorithm and wavelet are used in subspace learning and support vector machine as a classifier. The results indicate that the error of using the wavelet in subspace learning process becomes low. In addition, the proposed method is convergent and has an acceptable response in presence of high-power noise.

Abstract

The systematic detection and elimination of mosquitoes is a valuable process, the results of which could be important in the fight against Malaria. In this study, image processing is used, allowing the researchers to detect the mosquitoes and their locations. Mosquitoes' physical characteristics, territorial and behavioral patterns were also analyzed through recognition technology. It is found that mosquitoes can be detected and differentiated by their physical, territorial and behavioral patterns through these methodologies. In addition to mosquitoes, flies and bees are also included in this study and were analyzed for their patterns, as well as their distinguishing features. Size, number of objects, proboscis, body shape, color, antennae, hind legs, and shape parameters were all factors considered for mosquito detection with image processing. All these informations were used in the Mosquito Detection Algorithm. This study provides characteristic descriptions of all three insects and statistical analysis of the data found.
