This study presents an amended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) which explores key factors affecting Malaysian consumers ' willingness to accept mobile-commerce. A questionnaire survey has been used to collect information from 400 Malaysian smartphone users using a random stratified sample and analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM); with the use of Smart PLS 3.0. Results show that acceptance and use of mobile-commerce services can also be predicted by the behavioural intentions of users, whose performance expectancy, efforts expectations, social effects, mobility, personal innovations and perceived trust are significantly affected. From these variables, perceived trust is the most significant determinant that directly affects behavioural intention to use mobile-commerce services in Malaysia. It is then followed by mobility, personal innovation, social influence, performance expectancy then effect expectancy. Facilitating Conditions and moderating variables such as gender, age, education, income, marital status, experience and payment have no significant effect on Behavioral Intention to use mobile-commerce services in Malaysia. In conclusion, this study shows that behavioural intention and the use of mobile commerce services in Malaysia have a direct effect. The study will help dealers to avoid spending thousands of dollars on investments that have little impact on whether the customer is embracing and using mobile-commerce. The study also provides quantified indicators and offers a framework for the understanding of the Malaysia mobile-commerce system. The report concludes with a study of the effects of the research findings and provides recommendations for future research.

Convolution represent basic layer in the convolutional neural network, but it can result in big size of the data, which may increase the complexity of the network. Different pooling methods are used to perform down sample these data. In this paper, we have proposed a novel pooling method by using Gaussian function to determine the wavelet filter coefficients. At first, the basic statistics are determined for each pool size of the signal, then Gaussian probability distribution function is determined. According to the procedure of extracting the features, three methods are proposed, the first method is used the normalized values of basic statistics as wavelet filter to be multiplied by original signal, the second method used the determined statistics as features of the original signal, then multiplied it with constant wavelet filter based on Gaussian, while the third method is similar to first method, except it depend on entire signal instead of each pool size. The proposed methods are combined with other standard methods such as max and pooling. The experiments are performed on different datasets and the results show that the proposed methods perform or outperform other methods and can increase performance of the (CNN).

Autonomous and grid-connected systems play an important role in the massive integration of renewable energy sources necessary for the global development of a sustainable society. In this regard, the analysis of the behavior of electrochemical storage devices such as lead-acid batteries installed on hybrid energy systems and microgrids in terms of lifespan and economic profitability is an important research subject. The purpose of this article is to present a methodology for calculating the aging rate of a storage battery inserted in a hybrid multisource system. The approach consists in first knowing the solicitations of the battery during a year knowing at every moment its state of charge. This curve is obtained from a dynamic simulator taking into account the intermittences of the sources and the load. The second step is to determine the number of cycles and the depth of discharge of each from the stat of charge. Finally, based on the battery life characteristic given by the manufacturer (cycle number vs. discharge depth), the aging rate of the battery for one year of operation is determined.

This paper deals with the design, simulation and implementation of the high-frequency transformer for a push-pull converter. It also includes transformer design and simulation for two switches, two outputs forward converter. Design these transformers by building a program, this program is designed in MATLAB software using a graphical user interface (GUI). The program is aimed to reduce the efforts and reduce the time compare with the manual design which takes time and effort. This paper provided the shape and geometry of the core that can influence the efficiency of the converter by designing these transformers in two types of core. The design results were validated by simulation in power simulation software (PSIM), and compare the results of simulation and design.

The principle of joint transmission coordinated multipoint with non-orthogonal multiple access (JT-CoMP-NOMA) is to allow multiple cells in the network to cooperatively transmit data to users using the same network resources in frequency and time domains. The approach would be beneficial in enhancing the system performance in the context of spectral efficiency. This paper presents the performance comparison of JT-CoMP-NOMA for several modulation schemes including QPSK, 16-QAM and 64 QAM in downlink transmission in the context of bit error rate. We conduct an investigation to compare the error performance of JT-CoMP-NOMA with NOMA system. Our simulation results demonstrate that the JT-CoMP-NOMA provides lower bit error rate compared to NOMA system.

Mathematics is vital in our life and society. However, gamification of mathematics is rare for topics such as fractions and decimals. This paper presents the development of an educational mathematics game called one slash one hundred percent (1 Slash 100%). It is the hybridization of the conventional card game and quick response (QR). This research aims to study how the respondents explore the card game to master decimal, fraction and percentage. The testing was conducted among secondary school students in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (n=12; age=14). The respondents were asked to answer a set of questions in pre-test and post-test question. The results are promising where the analysis showed a significant difference between pre-test (M=14.3, SD=2.103) and post-test scores (M=17.6, SD=2.234). Thus, gamification of mathematics using the hybrid card game increases their mastery of decimal, fraction and percentage.

This paper represents a comparative study of three different types of DC-DC converter that can be used for reduction of total harmonic distortion (THD) in stator current, back electromotive force (EMF) and torque of brush less DC motor. In addition, the topologies of these converters are analysed, and the THD of the output characteristics have also been studied. In this work, SEPIC, Zeta and Flyback converters are considered and their outputs are fed to the BLDCM with the help of universal bridge or six step inverter. Moreover the THD of the output voltages are not only measured for three converters but also reduced by tuning the parameters. At first these three converters are modeled in MATLAB/ Simulink based simulation platform and studied the performance individually and further executed with hardware circuitry. Finally the output parameters from both software simulation and real time hardware are compared for these three converters separately and got satisfactory similar results. Again we studied the performance with these converters in terms of efficiency while fed in the commutation drive circuitry of BLDCM by considering minimum THD. From this comparative simulation results, it has been observed that Zeta converter showed maximum efficiency. Therefore, in real time hardware implementation, the commutation drive circuitry of BLDCM is studied with Zeta converter. With this configuration, a comparatively low THD of stator current, back EMF and electromagnetic torque have been achieved in BLDCM with PID controller.

This paper investigates the electromagnetic radiation (EMR) of the human body before and after intense exercise. The intensity of exercise refers to the rate or the effort at which the activity is being performed. 30 healthy students participated in this research. The data were collected at the specific point of the human body by using a frequency detector. The reading of the frequency was taken 5 times at each point at the same location; hence, the average value is calculated for data analysis. This frequency measurement is recorded two times which is before and after intense exercise with a consistence protocol for all participants. The collected data is analyzed by using MATLAB programming tool which converts the data frequency into 15 colours of bio-energies which symbolizes different energy field score. The score represents the health level of the samples at specific point. From the analysis, higher frequency of EMR is detected after intense exercise compared to before intense exercise. There is also a significant change in the physical health score categories. This indicates that the intense exercise influences the body EMR radiation frequencies.

Machine learning approaches are progressively successful in image based analysis such as different diseases prediction as well as level of risk assessment. In this paper, image based data analysis with machine learning technique was applied to fertilizer treatment of maize. We address this issue as our country depend on agricultural field rather than others. Maize has a bright future. To predict fertilizer treatment of maize dataset was comprised of ground coverage region which highlights the green pixels of a maize image. For calculating green pixels from an image we used “Can Eye” tool. The achievement of machine learning approaches is highly dependent on quality and quantity of the dataset which is used for training the machine for better classification result. For this perseverance, we have collected images from the maize field directly. Then processed those images and classified the data into four classes (Less Nitrogen=-N, Less Phosphorus=-P, Less Potassium=-K and NPK) to train our machine using decision tree algorithm to predict fertilizer treatment. We have got 93% classification accuracy for decision tree. Finally, the outcome of this paper is fertilizer treatment of a maize field based on the ground cover percentage, and we implemented this whole paper work using an android platform because of the availability of android mobile phone throughout the world.
