Modern ground penetrating radars (GPR), designed to determine the thickness of ice or search for the occurrence of aquifers in arid regions of the Earth, are installed either on helicopters or on the earth's surface. The use of a helicopter is economically expensive, and the installation of GPRs on the earth's surface is of a local nature. Modern GPRs mainly use video pulse probing signals and probing signals with linear frequency modulation. These signals have correlation noise, which makes it difficult to obtain a high-quality radar image. In this work, we propose to use a signal with a zero autocorrelation zone (ZACZ) as a probing signal for GPR installed on an unmanned aerial vehicle. In work, a polyphase probing signal with a ZACZ is synthesized and a comparative analysis of the correlation characteristics of the synthesized signal with the optimal phase-code shift keyed signal is carried out.

The importance and benefits of healthcare mobile applications is increasing rapidly, especially when such applications are connected to the internet of things (IoT). This paper describes a smart knowledge-based system (KBS) that helps patients showing symptoms of Influenza verify being infected with Coronavirus, commonly known as COVID-19. In addition to the systems’ diagnostic functionality, it helps these patients get medical assistance fast by notifying medical authorities using the IoT. This system displays patient’s location, phone number, date and time of examination. During the applications’ development, the developers used Twilio, short message service (SMS), WhatsApp, and Google map applications.

This paper covers the work done in handwritten digit recognition and the various classifiers that have been developed. Methods like MLP, SVM, Bayesian networks, and random forests were discussed with their accuracy and are empirically evaluated. Boosted LetNet 4, an ensemble of various classifiers, has shown maximum efficiency among these methods.

Adapting users need to fulfill their requirements and delivering products to be on time within the planned cost, is critical matter that all software project managers (SPM) put the highest priority for it while considering the users satisfaction at the same time. Agile methodology is one of the solutions provided by software engineers (SE), to get the customers involved in the system development life cycle (SDLC) to avoid the risk nonconformance cost. Yet SPM’s still facing the nonconformance costs and the dynamic changes, and the root cause of the issue is not pointed on to find a solution for it. This undertaking research aimed at determining whether software developers understand scrum rules. In addition, how does this knowledge gab affect the software projects success from the project management perspective. Furthermore, the engagement studied the impact of lack of enough knowledge on the topic to project delivery. The collected data from the qualitative and quantitative methods, which was conducted with scrum teams who worked in the health information system (HIS), Educational solutions, and Governmental solutions has showed deviations in organizational practices and team conflicting, competition, and pressure as well as declined product quality.

Besides the development of technology in recent years, there has been an effective tendency to construct smart cities and homes. Whereas the smart home control system components can be incorporated with the existing home appliances to eliminate the need for human intervention, save electricity, protect homes from accidents as well as the theft, and provide home residents with comfort. This work comprises the utilising of the internet of things (IoT) technology to build the proposed design for the smart home. The proposed design includes many subsystems as well as several types of sensors, such as the passive infrared (PIR) sensor, the gas sensor, the soil moisture sensor, the water level sensor, the temperature sensor, the light dependent resistance (LDR), and the flame sensor. Each sensor will be connected to the Arduino Nano for the data processing purpose, after which the Arduino Nano will be connected to the NodeMCU module via the digital pins to implement the IoT subsystem. The proposed system also includes a smart garage gate based on Bluetooth HC-05 module with a specially programmed android app.

Safety is one of the most important things that we are keen to provide all aspects of our lives. Keyless lock gate with fingerprint access has many advantages over traditional systems such as passwords. Therefore, fingerprint identification represents the main part, which require that system is cheap, practical, easy to use and allows fast and securely. This paper discusses the design and implementation with real time model of a practical lock gate system for the achievement of high security by using fingerprint purification to control the mechanism of opening doors in banks, warehouses, laboratories and places of interest. In this paper, the microcontroller technology in the Ardonio board was used with an optical sensor to take the fingerprint, convert it into digital data, and insert it into a definition window to unify all input data and store it for use when compared to the system experience. After obtaining the result of the comparison, the appropriate commands are prepared for operating the servo of the lock mechanism for the doors used. In the testing of the system, the results are very accurate. The system also has other advantages such as small size and low power required for operation and ease of use.

Over the last decade, software development has faced two approaches to Agile and global software development (GSD). While Agile development is focused on the reduction of software development overhead by reducing the distance between individuals and face-to-face communications, in global software development, the use of human power in various sites is considered. Despite their inherent differences, the combination of these two approaches has received considerable attention from researchers and software professionals. Meanwhile, the lack of a model or tool capable of assessing teams' adaptation to Agile methods seems to be a research gap. The current research aims to solve this challenge by proposing a model in this regard. Considering the major related factors and weighting them, this model allows software teams to assess the rate of their adaptation and success in global software development.

Ant-tree-miner (ATM) has an advantage over the conventional decision tree algorithm in terms of feature selection. However, real world applications commonly involved imbalanced class problem where the classes have different importance. This condition impeded the entropy-based heuristic of existing ATM algorithm to develop effective decision boundaries due to its biasness towards the dominant class. Consequently, the induced decision trees are dominated by the majority class which lack in predictive ability on the rare class. This study proposed an enhanced algorithm called hellinger-ant-tree-miner (HATM) which is inspired by ant colony optimization (ACO) metaheuristic for imbalanced learning using decision tree classification algorithm. The proposed algorithm was compared to the existing algorithm, ATM in nine (9) publicly available imbalanced data sets. Simulation study reveals the superiority of HATM when the sample size increases with skewed class (Imbalanced Ratio < 50%). Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the existing algorithm measured by BACC has been improved due to the class skew-insensitiveness of hellinger distance. The statistical significance test shows that HATM has higher mean BACC score than ATM.

This paper proposes a new spectral conjugate gradient (SCG) approach for solving unregulated nonlinear optimization problems. Our approach proposes Using Wolfe's rapid line scan to adjust the standard conjugate descent (CD) algorithm. A new spectral parameter is a mixture of new gradient and old search path. The path provided by the modified method provides a path of descent for the solution of objective functions. The updated method fits the traditional CD method if the line check is correct. The stability and global convergence properties of the current new SCG are technically obtained from applying certain well-known and recent mild assumptions. We test our approach with eight recently published CD and SCG methods on 55 optimization research issues from the CUTE library. The suggested and all other algorithms included in our experimental research were implemented in FORTRAN language with double precision arithmetic and all experiments were conducted on a PC with 8 GB ram Processor Intel Core i7. The results indicate that our proposed solution outperforms recently reported algorithms by processing and performing fewer iterations in a shorter time.

This paper deals with implementing the tuning process of the gains of fractional order proportional-integral-derivative (FOPID) controller designed for trajectory tracking control for two-link robotic manipulators by using a Bat algorithm. Two objective functions with weight values assigned has been utilized for achieving the minimization operation of errors in joint positions and torque outputs values of robotic manipulators. To show the effectiveness of using a Bat algorithm in tuning FOPID parameters, a comparison has been made with particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO). The validity of the proposed controllers has been examined in case of presence of disturbance and friction. The results of simulations have clearly explained the efficiency of FOPID controller tuned by Bat algorithm as compared with FOPID controller tuned by PSO algorithm.
