Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of a microwave heating thermal distribution in the rice weevil disinfestation treatment. The sample of rice and rice weevil has been heated by microwave and the infrared thermal camera has been used to capture the heating distribution. The analysis of the rice and the rice weevil condition due to electromagnetic energy exposure is presented. There are three stages of the microwave heating has been taken in the analysis i.e. 10, 20, 30 seconds exposure period at 100W of energy.  Found that the treatment of rice weevil disinfestation using microwave energy is promising in the future, but needs a lot of improvement to be studied. The beauty of using microwave energy for rice weevil disinfestation is not only the rice weevil can be killed, but even its eggs or larvae inside the rice kernel will be killed before it hatches.

Abstract

State Estimation (SE) is the main function of power system where Energy Management System (EMS) is obliged to estimate the available states. Power system is a quasi-static system and hence changes slowly with time. Dynamic State Estimation (DSE) technique represents the time deviation nature of the system, which allows the forecasting of state vector in advance. Various techniques for DSE are available in the literature. This paper presents a review on different methodologies and developments in DSE, based on comprehensive survey of the available literature. From the survey it can be concluded that there are still areas in the developing DSE that can still be improved in terms of system computational time, redundancy and robustness of the system.

Abstract

The consideration that the Iraqi community has concentrated on the training area has delivered another college responsibility routed to superiority viewpoints for all training connected facilities. In truth, a superiority arranged facility necessitates perfection in the structure and arranging of facility exercises, in addition to amid its conveying for the received facility execution assessment strategy. In any case, considering that facility execution assessments are profoundly founded on partners’ decisions, they can be described by conceivable vulnerabilities identified with deficiency for incomplete obliviousness, imprecision for subjectivity and even dubiousness. In this way, underneath these circumstances, temperamental outcomes can be acquired by broadly measured facility investigation strategies. This paper is a strategy dependent an ongoing augmentation of ServQual display and it utilizes a consolidated way of Fuzzy Set Theory of command process technique that is proposed to adequately deal with vulnerability in facility execution examinations. Specifically, Fuzzy Set Theory is measured to manage vulnerability, while AHP strategy is embraced as device to appraise the significance loads of key facility characteristics. In this way, the key investigation of the facility esteem tree identified with the program in University of Kufa is made by using the planned strategy. The completed facility examination permits the most impacting facility execution components to be caught and remarked. At last, acquired outcomes demonstrate that the teachers' view of facility quality definitively impacts by large facility execution level.

Abstract

Service industry plays a more and more important role in economic development, it had become an important symbol for the enhancement of one region competitiveness. The paper constructed the Jiaozuo service competitive evaluation model, which used 2004-2011 years sequence data of Jiaozuo and synchronic data of Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo five cities, based on the DEA method, designed input index including employees and fixed assets, designed output index including service industry output value and growth rate, then it solved the answer with LINGO8.0 linear programming software. Model could not only evaluate sequence change on development of service industry competitiveness for eight years in Jiaozuo, but also did a horizontal section comparison with Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Xinxiang four Cities. Model operation results showed that Jiaozuo service industry appeared to be on the mend but unstable situation on the overall effectiveness according to the longitudinal input and output, the horizontal section comparing showed that it had slightly shortage than Zhengzhou, Kaifeng city, it was in a horizontal line with Xinxiang, Luoyang, but the total amount was insufficient, it was totally in accord with the actual situation in Jiaozuo service industry development. Finally, it proposed the countermeasure and suggestion from Jiaozuo important development industries, service industry development policy and talent training. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2514

Abstract

The paper develops an approach based on wavelet technique for the evaluation and estimation of harmonic contents of power system waveform. The proposed algorithm decomposes the signal waveforms into the uniform frequency sub-bands corresponding to the odd harmonic components of the signal. The proposed implementation of algorithm determines the frequency bands of harmonics which retain both the time and frequency relationship of the original waveforms and uses a method to suppress those harmonics. The wavelet algorithm is selected to obtain compatible output bands with the harmonic groups defined in the standards for power-supply systems. A comparative analysis will be done with the input and the results obtained from the wavelet transform (WT) for different measuring conditions and Simulation results are given. DOI:  http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v13i2.6983

Abstract

This paper presents about Ant Colony Algorithm (ACO) for Text Classification in Multicore-Multithread Environment in Artificial Intelligent domain. We had develop a software which assimilate concurrency concept to multiple artificial ants. Pheromone in ACO is the main concept used to solve the text classification problem. In regards to its role, pheromone value is changed depending on the solution finding that has been discovered at the pseudo random heuristic attempt in selecting path from text words. However, ACO can take up longer time to process larger training document. Based on the cooperative concept of ants living in colony, the ACO part is examined to work in multicore-multithread environment as to cater additional execution time benefit. In running multicore-multithread environment, the modification aims to make artificial ants actively communicate between multiple physical cores of processor. The execution time reduction is expected to show an improvement without compromising the original classification accuracy by the investment of trading on more processing power. The single and multicore-multithreaded version of ACO was compared statistically by conduction relevant test. It was found that the result shows a positive time reduction improvement.
