Abstract

AbstractElderly feel anxious in the face of death caused by elderly negative perception of death. It is necessary to approach the need to seniors such as spiritual needs approaches. Spiritual necessity is something that need by people to prepare for death. The design of the research used was qualitative research by phenomenological approach. Social situation is older people Ds Podoroto Kec Kesamben Kab Jombang. The informant was 4 elderly using the Snowball Sampling technique. This research Instrument used the interview guidelines that have been made, the collection data was done by interview. Data analyzed by using the Colaizzi methode. This research produces 4 themes namely theme 1 obtained from the sub theme reminds oneself then found the theme of preparing death. Theme 2 obtained from a sub theme inner proximity then found the theme felt close to God. Theme 3 obtained from the sub theme requires God from the sub theme found the theme of running the command of God. Theme 4 obtained from the sub theme lightens the load then found the theme provides benefits. Spiritual need for the elderly is a provision in the face of death, by doing worship to God. The activity has a positive effect that is feeling close to God so it is quieter in living life, preparing his death. The spiritual activities undertaken by the elderly are carried out continuously, which is the responsibility of the human being. Spiritual needs relate to the meaning of the elderly life is a form of interpersonal relationships between humans and others to provide mutual benefits.Keywords: Death, Elderly, Spiritual

Abstract

Abstract Hyperglycemia that occurs in people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) can have an impact on damage to small blood vessels, if in the long term it will cause neuropathy and disturbances in important organs in the body. Efforts that can be made to lower blood sugar levels in Diabetes Mellitus are by utilizing the crown of gods herbal plants, the alkaloid content in the crown of gods can reduce blood glucose by inhibiting glucose absorption in the intestine, increasing glucose transport in the blood, stimulating glycogen synthesis and inhibiting glucose synthesis. and increase glucose oxidation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving the crown of gods (Phaleria macrocarpa) on the blood glucose of diabetic mice. The research method was carried out by literature review by searching published journals online through the PubMed, ProQuest, Scholar and Sinta databases that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the review of eleven reputable journals showed that the extract of the Dewa's Crown had a positive effect on reducing blood glucose levels. In the extract of the god's crown on the skin and flesh of the fruit, it contains saponins, flavonoids, alloxan compounds, and mineral or other compounds that can reduce glucose levels in the blood. Saponins and alloxans can reduce blood glucose levels by stimulating pancreatic ß cells so that insulin secretion increases and glucose decreases, and flavonoids are protective against damage to ß cells as insulin producers and can increase insulin sensitivity. Abstract

ABSTRACTMaternal nutritional status during pregnancy explains that maternal weight gain during pregnancy is recommended based on body mass index before pregnancy. Mothers who experience poor nutritional status are at risk of giving birth to LBW infants so that children are at risk of stunting. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship of maternal nutritional status during pregnancy with the incidence of stunting in infants aged 0-12 months in the work area of Kenjeran Health Center Surabaya. The design of the analytical correlation study with the retrospective cohort approach in 4 sub-districts included Kenjeran, Bulak, Kedung Cowek, Sukolilo Village. The sample technique used Stratified Random Sampling as many as 108 mothers who had infants aged 0-12 months. Data retrieval is done by questionnaire sheets and observations using KIA books, midline and z-score tables. The results of the study showed that most mothers experienced nutritional status during pregnancy. Mothers who experience nutritional status during pregnancy are less likely to cause children at risk of stunting. The Spearman rho test showed a correlation between maternal nutritional status during pregnancy and the incidence of stunting ρ = 0,000 (ρ <α = 0.05). The implication of this study is that the nutritional status of mothers during pregnancy is related to the incidence of stunting, so that it can be socialized about health education about stunting and nutritional needs that must be met during pregnancy to health workers at the Kenjeran Health Center Surabaya. Keywords: Maternal Nutritional Status During Pregnancy, Stunting, Infants

Abstract

Abstract Gout is the result of results in the body which levels should not be excessive. Bamboo exercise is a nonpharmacological effort that can be done to increase the metabolism and excretion of uric acid through sweat, urine, or feces. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of bamboo exercise on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly. This research is a Pre-Experimental study using the One Group Pretest-Postest Design method. With a population of 41 elderly, getting a sample of 18 respondents with Purposive Sampling techniques. Independent variable is bamboo practice and Dependent variable in this study is uric acid level. Data collection using GCU / Urt Test then the respondent gave 20 minutes bamboo training for 7 consecutive days. Then the results of the study were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test with α = 0.05. The results obtained showed a decrease in value before and after on bamboo exercise as much as 0.533. And from the results of the SPSS test, it was found that p = 0.046 (p≤α) which was useful was found between bamboo exercises and decreased uric acid levels. Bamboo training The privilege is that the elderly are more free to move because there is a bamboo balance aid, so that it will increase uric acid excretion to the maximum.  Keywords: Gout, Bamboo Exercise, Elderly.
