Abstract

The grounding system is part of the electrical installation that functions tosecure electrical equipment and humans. This grounding system has low impedanceproperties, so that the overcurrent in the installation network can be flowed quickly tothe ground so as to minimize damage to equipment in the building and protect thepeople inside it. Bengkalis State Polytechnic is a State University located in BengkalisRegency, Riau Province, from year to year there has been a very good increase, startingfrom the number of study programs and the number of students, each year the numberof new students who are interested is increasing, therefore Bengkalis State Polytechnictook the opportunity to build the Integrated Lecture Building III. Indonesia. To securethe Integrated Lecture III Building from lightning strikes, it is necessary to provideprotection media to make grounding or grounding using rod electrodes so that thebuilding can be protected from danger and reduce the occurrence of damage toelectrical or electrical equipment inside the Integrated Lecture III building. The resultsof grounding measurements are measured using an Earth Tester with a distancebetween PCs or iron poles of 1 meter with a grounding resistance value of 3.5 ohm .Keywords: Grounding system, Integrated Lecture Building III Bengkalis StatePolytechnic.

Abstract

Menurut Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Alam, penggunaan energi surya sebagai sumber energi alternatif dapat menjadi solusi atas kenaikan harga minyak bumi. Panel surya tidak hanya tidak terbatas, tetapi juga tidak menyebabkan polusi. Potensi energi surya di Indonesia sebesar 4,8 KWh/m2 atau 112.000 GWp, namun pemanfaatannya baru sekitar 10 MWp. Pemerintah menargetkan terpasang 0,87 GW pada 2025. Oleh karena itu, riset energi surya harus diperkuat untuk mempersiapkan pengembangan energi surya yang lebih besar di masa mendatang. Baterai diperlukan untuk menyimpan energi yang dihasilkan oleh panel surya dalam realisasi pembentukan pemanfaatan energi matahari. Penggunaan baterai harus memperhatikan cara pengisian baterai, lama pengisian dan State of Charge (SOC). Maka dirancanglah sebuah penelitian mengenai pengisian baterai menggunakan cuk konverter dan estimasi SOC. DC-DC konverter jenis cuk ini berfungsi untuk menaikkan dan menurunkan tegangan masukannya dengan mengatur tegangan pengisian baterai sehingga dijaga konstan pada tegangan 14,6V menggunakan kontrol PI. SOC atau level pengisian baterai akan diestimasi dengan metode coulomb counting, sehingga pengisian baterai tidak akan mengalami overcharge atau pengisian yang berlebihan yang dapat mempersingkat usia pemakaian baterai. Dengan bantuan simulasi yang dibuat dengan perangkat lunak Matlab, tegangan keluaran konverter dapat dijaga konstan pada 14,6 V dengan mengatur nilai Kp 5 dan Ki 2972,65. Estimasi SOC baterai terbukti lebih cepat menacapai 100% ketika arus keluaran konverter nilainya lebih besar atau pada kondisi iradiasi tinggi.

Abstract

Technological advances in instrumentation are developing rapidly. Various types of technology have been created to make it easier for humans to do their jobs. As one of the developing technologies is technology in the field of measurement. Therefore, a 5 IN 1 multifunction measuring instrument (Altimeter, TDS meter, Soil Moisture meter, Thermometer, and Barometer) digital portable was designed. This tool can measure altitude, solids in water volume, soil pressure, temperature and air pressure in one multifunctional measuring instrument. This measuring instrument will be designed using a BMP280 sensor, a TDS sensor, and an Arduino Nano-based soil moisture sensor. The tool works automatically in response to how much the measurement value is detected by the sensor used. The Arduino Nano then processes and provides a pre-programmed output. The measurement results are then displayed on the LCD. Based on the test results, it is found that the difference between the values of the measuring instruments made is close to the values of the standard measuring instruments so that the reading accuracy level of each sensor functions well and has a high level of accuracy. In the measurement of the BMP280 sensor for altitude measurements, an average accuracy rate of 98.6% is obtained, for air pressure measurements an average accuracy rate of 99% is obtained, for temperature testing an average accuracy rate of 96% is obtained. Meanwhile, the TDS test produces an average accuracy rate of 94.6%. For testing the soil moisture sensor, it produces an average accuracy rate of 95.1%.
