Abstract

Pengotan village is one of the villages that still preserves the value of traditional mountain village. Pengotan village as Bali Aga one is divided into 8 banjars dinas and a adat village. In terms of social life, the village of Pengotan still maintains a traditional communication systems in religious activities at the village, as the village Kulkul uses for the medium of communication on the mass wedding implementation. The study was conducted in order to determine the traditional communication systems in terms of Kulkul village utilization, especially in religious activities at the Pengotan village, and to try linking the traditional communication systems to rural tourism development efforts, so the future can work better and be an awake sustainability. The fieldwork uses descriptive qualitative research methods. It is conducted to describe the state or condition of the traditional communication systems at Pengotan village. As for the results obtained from this study, the Kulkul village has an important role on the mass wedding implementation at the Pengotan village. Itâ??s considered valid until the brides become husband and wife. Kulkul existence as a traditional communication village media can not be separated from Prajuru Desaâ??s and Kesinomanâ??s role. When itâ??s associated with the development of rural tourism Pengotan, the traditional communication systems are implemented in a mass wedding and those can be used as a tourist attraction to come and get knowing more the Balinese diverse culture Keywords: Pengotan Village - Traditional Communication Systems - Kulkul Village - Rural Tourism

Abstract

In the context within developing for the traditional housing is not very complicated if we search its meaning related to find out the happiness for all, in realistic and religious term. All traditional housing development steps have to be followed by a specific process conducted by ritual activity, such as : nyakap palemahan, nasarin dan melaspas.            The article is a library research by selecting some related literatures using content of analysis method. From the literatures above the similar content are confirmed and inducted and finally the conclusion is a categorization of contents.            The result show that there are two items regarding research problem to be anwered, those are : (i) the step and way in the traditional process developing consist of : (i) ngaskara process and its offering, (ii) the offering gradual depends on the economical and social level.

Abstract

Singaraja town with its territory of 27,89 Km2 is a part of an administrative territory at Buleleng regency. Itâ??s predicted that Singaraja town is the only one having an â??urban designâ?. A territory has a meaning as a place of a city architecturally, and also itâ??s set up by a space. Beside the existence of a Puri (castle), a traditional market, a harbor, China-town and the others, at Singaraja town is also available a lot of the Dutchâ??s architectural heritage.A town image is a mental description of a city according to its societyâ??s viewpoint approximate. Related to be an effort of keeping Singaraja town image that has an unique characteristic, so it needs taking care and preserving by conducting a conservation. Key word : the image-Singaraja town-conservation
