Abstract

In the practice of e-Commerce, another word for online-based sales activity conducted by firms or organizations via the internet, the credibility of the host site is important. A credible site will be able to attract more visitors, thus increasing the probability of selling the goods or services offered in that particular site. Credibility assessment is not only based on the usability, information quality, and interaction quality of the site alone, but is also based onattributes of marketing mix, which include the originality of the product, the promotion that is currently available, the existence of additional information in the site, as well as other factors. This research aims to link the attributesof marketing mix and site quality assessment (WebQual), such as the usability, information quality, and interaction quality to the credibility of a site. The research models the relation by constructing a structural equation modeling(SEM) and uses two data analyzing techniques: descriptive analysis using cross tabulation and frequency table, and a variance based model analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results show that site credibility assessment on marketing mix improves due to occurring bonus or promotions, selling well known brands, and the availability of delivery services that can be monitored by buyers. In WebQual metrics, site credibility improves due to visitor’s ease of understanding, trust/reliability, and security while visiting or conducting purchases. Site credibility constructions rely on additional vendor information such as contact numbers, vendor ID (address, structure, awards, etc.), shopping guidelines, and feedback speed to customers queries.

Abstract

Waste is a national problem in Indonesia. This is related to the old paradigm of waste management which is only collected, transported, and disposed to the landfill. The same problem occured in Dusun Toisapu, Ambon. Since it’s establishment in 2003, Dusun Toisapu landfill used open dumping and it’s caused the increased negative externalities of environmental quality for the people who lives nearby. Ambon district officer has a new integratedwaste management in 2012 but the implementation is not going well because there was no sorting of waste (organic and anorganic) on source of waste. The governments finacial limitation causes the waste management services not running properly. Based on the results of research in Baguala and Nusaniwe, most people are willing to pay higher retribution for better services in Dusun Toisapu landfill with four scenarios. The highest average WTP in Baguala is Rp24.250,00/family/month for biogas scenario and the lowest is Rp20.804,00/family/month for incineration scenario. In Nusaniwe, it is obtained the highest average WTP is  p21.228,00/family/month for composting scenario and the lowest is Rp18.220,00/family/month for sanitary landfill scenario. Value of WTP from people can cover operational costs for implementing four waste management scenarios that offered.

Abstract

There are several cases of duplicate articles in Indonesian scientific journal. This study provide inputs tothe journal publisher in Indonesia to prevent duplication. This paper conducted analysis of quality articles andjournals, data obtained from the Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD) and printed journals in PDIILIPI. The results show (1) the duplication are written by the same author, but published in different journals, in thesame or different year; (2) articles published in the same journal but in different volume; (3) articles from a similarresearch team, but published as sole author under the name of each member of the group. Most journals alreadyinclude a requirement that the article submitted has not been published in other journals. This paper suggests inorder to avoid duplication, each journal should add the prerequisite, such as authors should not submit the articleto other publishers before the selection process has been completed. In addition, to address duplication, whilethe selection is in process, publisher should conduct a benchmarking script analysis to search articles that havebeen published. ISJD, is a database for comparing articles and managed by PDII LIPI. Currently, ISJD alreadymanages more than 5,000 journals with more than 140,000 articles. This study is expected to provide input to thejournal publisher in Indonesia, so there is no duplication of publication of the article.
