Abstract

The need for electrical energy is a necessity that can not be ditawar–tawar anymore for a life worthy of every person in this day. Generally, remote rural areas located in mountainous areas have a large potential of water energy, so that the hydroelectric power plant is one of the energy sources that can be developed. Jambi is an area covered with Batanghari River flows. This research aims to know how the work process of Microhydro power plant.  Components of the essential components of miniature microhydro power plants are reservoirs, rapid pipes, turbines, generators where these components are not loose bias, interrelated to one another. Round of Tubin obtained from the experiment is 400 rpm with water discharge 0.0016 m3/s. The maximum voltage generated by the generator is 18 volts. Voltage generated from the generator to charging the Batrai used inverter of 13.1 volts. The load will remain on even though the main energy source is the generator stop in the same, because the energy of the second is Batrai.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the characteristics of water turbine used on micro hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) by observing the influence of high variation falling water to the turbine generated round and rotation transmission variation with different pulley diameter to generate the rotation used for rotating the generator. The results showed that high water-falling water streams have an effect on the resulting rounds of turbines, and varying the pulley transmission system can also maximize the rotation on the generator.

Abstract

The use of archimedes screw has shifted its use from pumps to a source of hydropower at low heads as water turbines. Archimedes srew turbine performance is influenced by several parameters including turbine submersion level, turbine tilt angle, pitch ratio, and number of blades. The contour of the lowland Jambi city that is passed by the Batanghari watershed makes the drainage potential can be utilized to become a small-scale hydroelectric power plant using screw turbines, because the contour of Jambi City is low, resulting in small water pressure although the discharge is sometimes large due to the overflow of the Batanghari river, then the choice of turbine with a low head is the solution, in this study, a study was made to calculate the potential drainage flow in the city of Jambi, whether it can be used or not.

Abstract

Garbage is something of the residual material of production, which is generally not desirable owner. Therefore garbage is discarded and ends at the end of waste processing (TPA) to be managed to be destroyed. Waste destruction in TPA has always caused problems such as the problem of negative waste impact on the environment, and the difficulty of finding new TPA location when the TPA that is being used has expired. Indeed, garbage still has resources to be processed. One of the technology that can process garbage is a waste power plant (PLTSa) produces electrical energy. This technology has been widely used in Indonesia. The principle is the garbage that pollutes the environment utilized for power generation. Jambi City has TPA in Talang Gulo, but the destruction of garbage in TPA still uses a natural process, which is to block garbage with the method of destruction of garbage in the soil. Indeed, garbage in TPA Talang Gulo can be used as a source of power on PLTSa technology that produces electrical energy. From data of garbage volumes from 2018 to 2030, it has been worth utilizing garbage through PLTSa. The large electrical energy produced was 355,126.78 in the year 2030.

Abstract

The highest axle rotation is found in the use of variation comparison differences: The 4-to-1 gear comparison difference which results in a round axle of: 420 and 400 rpm. While the lowest axle rotation occurs peda different variations of gear comparison of 280 rpm. The water discharge that rotates the Pelton turbine generates a generator output voltage of 13.15.18 volts. Power generated power can be battery Mecharger 12 Volts 7.0 Ah and can be in the lamp burden 24 watts. As for the advice in the design of laboratory scale testing equipment of Pelton scales as follows; If you want to increase the voltage capacity of the resulting turbine so we have to enlarge the diameter of the turbine then increase the water discharge and increase the gear rotation ratio so that the generator output power is greater.
