Abstract

Leader's behaviour characteristic is a dynamic organization of a psykological system existing inside the leader that in turn can help in creating a leadership style. Such behaviour characteristic includes interest, attitude and need brought by some one I his/her work situation. In this case, everyone has so different characteristics can affect a leader for interacting and integrating with other person as well as way of encountering a problem and finding the problem solving (Stoner and Wankel, 1986). The research aims to study behaviour characteristic of farmer group leader, to study the work motivation level of the group leader, and to study the relationship between behaviour characteristic and the farmer group leader's motivation in Sub District Mojolaban, Regency Sukoharjo. A fundamental method used in study is a descriptive method. Meanwhile the population is all farmer group leaders in Sub District Mojolaban. Sampling technique employed is census. Type and source ofdata includes primary and secondary data. Technique of collecting data used in the study are observation, interview and dokumentation. For finding out the motivation level, it is measured by suing interval formulation. While for finding out the relationship between behaviour characteristic and the farmer group leader's motivation, it uses Rank Speaman correlation test (rs). The result of research shows .that there is a significant relationship between creativity and work motivation, self-confidence and work motivation, and, influencing as well as dominating power and work motivation. Meanwhile, objectivity, tolerance and extroversion have insignifcant relationship with work motivation.

Abstract

ICR is the approachment of crop management with implementation some plantation technology component that gives whole effect. Compenen of ICR including: decided the comodity choice that is adaptive according to agroclimate and plant season, adaptive superior variety, and high quality seed; management methode of germ and disease, and right methode to handle harvest and afterward. The research is aimed to study the factors of farmer's social economic, the adoption level of farmers toward ICR programme and the relationship between the factors farmer's social economic with the adoption level farmer toward ICR programme in Kendal regency. The basic methode used in thes research is analytical descriptive with survey technique. The research place is determined intentionally (purposive) that are Cepiring subdistric at Kangkung subdistrict. The methode in taking sample is census, with number of sample are 100 respondent. The result of research show that majority respondent's adoption toward ICR programme classify to good enough. The result of compare means analize show that more young, more wide of field, more high of formal education, nonformal education, income and participation in farm-group the adoption of ICR are more better. A test of rank spearman correlation in 95% significant level show that there are significant correlation between the variable of formal education, nonformal education, income, wide of field and participation in farm-group, while age show that there is no significant correlation with adoption level of ICR programme.

Abstract

For meeting the farmer's capital needs, the government expands credit network through Village Unit BRJ· and Village Unit Cooperative (KUD). The objectives of this research are to find out the farmer's decision making in taking up credit in Village Unit BR!, to find out some factors affecting the farmer's · decision making in taking up credit in Village Unit BR!, to find out how far the significant relation between factors affecting the farmer's decision making and farmer's decision in taking up credit in Village Unit BR! in Sub district Polokarto.The result of research shows that factors affecting the farmer's decision making deriving from the farmers in age factor is included in median score of 3, namely more than 40 years to 50 years, formal education factor included in median score of 2, namely elementary school graduated, economical capability included in median score of 4, namely saving occasionally, crop factors included in median score of 3, namely between 100% up to 125%. For the factors deriving from the bank side, the credit procedure factor is included in median score of 5 namely very easy, official service factor included in median score of 4, namely 5 to J 0 minutes, the credit size factor included in median score of 2, namely between 1 to 15 millions, interest rate factor is in median score of 1, namely more than 2, 5%, loan duration factor is in median score of 4, namely on time, realization factor is in median score of 4, namely between 1 to 2 weeks, return factor is in median score of 3, namely more than J planting season to 2 planting seasons, sanction factor is in median score of 2, namely more than 2% to 2, 5%, product price factors is in median score of 3, namely stable, customer's experience factor of other farmer is in median score of 4, namely rather favorable. While the farmer's decision in taking up credit in Village Unit BR/ is included high.

Abstract

Goes with Indonesia's in affords the needed of rice, intencification in agriculture could done with horticulture development that is by fruits product. This research is aimed to know the opinion leader's role toward farmer's adoption level in cultivating snake fruit var pondoh, to know farmer's adoption level and to know the correlation between opinion leader;s role with farmer's adoption level in cultivating snake fruit var pondoh. The result of analyze shows thort the opinion leader's role toward farmer 's adoption lein cultivating snake fruit var pondoh is included in middle category, where the opinion leader's role as the motivator is included in middle category, the opinion leader's role as the information source is included in high category, the opinion leader's role as the legitimator is included in high category, the opinion leader's role as the demonstrator is included in middle category. Farmer's adoption level in cultivating snake fruit var pondoh at Tempel District is included in high category, where in the seedling phase is included in high category, planting phase is included in high category, conservation phase is included in middle category, and in the harvesting phase is included in high category. The result of Rank Spearman analyza between opinion leader's role as motivator and as information source with farmer 's adoption level in cultivating snake fruit var pondoh, and there is non significant correlation between opinion leader's role as legitimator and demonstrator with farmer 'sadoption level in cultivating snake fruit var pondoh.

Abstract

The KIMBUN project is a concept of agriculture sub sector establishment that was carried out through area and target group approximation. This research was aimed to study the intern and ekstern factor ofthe farmer, to study the level offarmer participation, ang to study the relationship between the intern and ekstern factor ofthe farmer with the level offarmer participation in KIMBUNproject at 2003/2004. Basic method used in this research is descriptive using survey technique. In determining the research location, the researcher use purposive system one subdistrict in Wonogiri regency was in Jatisrono area. They are Megah Buana farmer's group, Sido Mukti, Giri Jaya Mete, Sida Maju, Baik, dan Ngudi Lestari. To find the correlation between the intern factor and ekstern factor ofthe farmer with the level offarmer participation in Kl.MBUN project, the researcher use 's Spearman Rank correlation withSPSS 11. 0for Windows. The research results showed that the level offarmers participation in planning stage are medium category, the level offarmers participation in action stage are high category, the level offarmers participation in benefit results stage are high category, and the level offarmers participation in all of stage are medium category. Age had the real relationship and positive with the farmers participation, formal education had the real relationship and positive with the farmers participation, non formal education had the real relationship with the farmers participation, income did not had the real relationship with the farmers participation, work experience had the real relationship and positive with the farmers participation, cosmopolity did not had the real relationship with the farmers participation, membership didnot had the real relationship with the farmers participation, and the fuction of instructor had the real relationship and positive with the farmers participation.

Abstract

This research is conducted to investigate all factors that related to the adoption of the innovation in utilizing complex fertilizer, to investigate the adoption 's level of the innovation done by the farmer in utilizing complex fertilizer, and to investigate the relation between the factors that related to the adoption of the innovation in utilizing complex fertilizer in Baki, Sukoharjo. The basic method used in this research is descriptive method with the technique of survey. The research's location is determined through purposive, in other words, Baki - Sukoharjo is chosen based on the consideration that this area has the most high level on producing rice. There are 40 respondents taken as the sample through simple random sampling. To identify all factors that related to the adoption of the innovation in utilizing complex fertilizer and to measure the level of the adoption on that innovation, the utilizing of the complex fertilizer is counted according to intervel-width formula, while to identify the relationship between those factors, the researcher used the Spearman-rank correlation test (rs). The result shows us that the majority of the farmers are above 50 years of age (> 50), 45 percent of them have a formal education either graduated/non-graduated from senior high school (SLTA), 50 percent of then have been joined non-formal education at least 1-2 times, 47,5 percent of them have 0,5-1 Ha area as their agriculture business, their majority of their salary is in the category of well-to-do and able to saving it, their economy environment is in the category of supporting and least supporting, their social environment is in the category of non-supporting and their innovation action in using the complex fertilizer is in the category of wellproper used. In the level of 95 percent trustworthy, there is a significant relationship between formal educations, width of the agriculture business area, economy environment, and innovation characteristics with the adoption of the innovation in utilizing complex fertilizer. Whereas, age, nonformal education, salary, and social environment are not having a significant relationship with the adoption of the innovation in utilizing complexfertilizer in Baki, Sukoharjo.
