Abstract

This research aims to model forecasting of dollar against rupiah by combining the Markov chains and time series models. Probability transition matrix arranged based on 459 time series data of the exchange rates for Australia Dollar (AUD) from October 20, 2014 until August 31, 2016. There are ten classifications were determined based on the exchange rates from sharply lower to sharply higher. Forecast results based on summation of forecast results with the magnitude of the change based on the state prediction probability. Evaluation of the best models are based on the value of Mean Squared Error (MSE) preliminary models. Then, the best models are based on Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) forecast result. The result, there are three models that are considered the best: MC-SMA18, MC-DES10, and MC-DES10.S. The model chosen for this case is MC-DES10.S with MAPE = 0,352% and MAD = 35,107.

Abstract

Nowadays almost all aspects in human life influenced by information technology. Almost all devices used by human were controlled by computer systems. Lot of investments were made, with not much of evaluation and feedback of the gained benefits were reported. This study tries to figure out how Information Technology is evaluated, approaches that been done, and critics for continually improvement. Review is started with IT-paradox, followed by IT-success, IT-values, IT-evaluations, IT-adoptions, and IT-management. Manuscript is ended with critics and discussion, implications, and conclusion.

Abstract

This research aims to model the change in inflation rate in Indonesia. Inflation is defined as an increase in the price of goods or services that occur continuously. Ifthe known changes in a period of inflation it will be known the value of inflation in that period. Then from the model obtained, is expected to predict the value of inflation in Indonesia in the next period. By utilizing the data time series methods in use in this research is a method of Holt-Winters. Method of The Holt-Winters' (HW) smoothing is a generalization of the method of linear Holt. This technique was proposed in 1960 by Holt and Winters. This method is the development of a linear method of Holt. Holt-Winters method widely used in time series which shows a pattern of increase or decrease in the trend. By utilizing these methods shows that data prediction and the actual data is almost the same. From these data, there is a lower prediction datafrom actual data. Forecasting with Holt-Winters method can be said to be efficient ifat the time of the next level of inflation other than in the outermost color range class prediction.

Abstract

Data yang bersifat rahasia dan aman merupakan suatu hal penting yang perlu adanya sistem agar dalam menyimpan dan mengirimkannya tidak dimodifikasi oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab, baik saat data tersebut tersimpan sebagai file di dalam komputer maupun saat dikirim melalui email. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat aplikasi yang dapat menjaga keamanan laporan keuangan yang menerapkan algoritma RSA dan MD5 dimana RSA diterapkan untuk keamanan data laporan keuangan dan MD5 diterapkan untuk mengamankan kunci yang dibentuk oleh algoritma RSA, serta membuktikan algoritma RSA dan MD5 dapat diterapkan kedalam aplikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi laporan keuangan dengan algoritma MD5 dan RSA yang dapat mengamankan data laporan keuangan yang telah diuji dan dinyatakan valid untuk diterapkan.

Abstract

Penentuan jadwal praktikum merupakan permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh perguruan tinggi. Keterbatasan jumlah kelas seringkali tidak sebanding dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan kelas dan juga tenaga pengajar/asisten praktikum, diperlukan system penjadwalan yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini dirancang system penjadwalan praktikum menggunakan metode steepest ascent hill climbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan contoh data kelas praktikum di Fakultas Teknologi Informasi, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.

Abstract

Keyword merupakan kata kunci yang digunakan untuk mempermudah dalam pencarian sumber bahan pustaka. Proses pencarian melalui keyword untuk menemukan judul buku atau bahan pustaka telah menjadi kebutuhan pokok dalam suatu sistem. Namun terkadang saat pengetikan keyword, masih banyak terjadi kesalahan penulisan atau typo. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat suatu aplikasi dalam bentuk prototype yang memberikan koreksi atau Suggestion word pada keyword sebuah bahan pustaka.Metode Jaro-winkler merupakan metode string matching yang berguna untuk mencocokan dua buah string, dengan masing-masing rumus algoritma dan juga proses yang berbeda. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara mengambil data buku dari perpustakaan kemudian digunakan sebagai sample dalam proses pencarian keyword. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem yang mampu memberikan koreksi dan Suggestion word jika dalam pencarian data buku terjadi kesalahan pengetikan. Diharapkan dengan dibangunnya sistem ini dapat mempermudah pengguna perpustakaan dalam mencari buku.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the ability and to find out how much percentage of accuracy of Back Propagation algorithm in Japanese characters handwriting Hiragana’s pattern recognition. This study used the characterization of calculating a black pixel (intensity of character) and calculating the direction by applying masking diagonal left, right diagonal, vertical, and horizontal (mark direction). There were 797 letters that can be read correctly by backpropagation test equipment after applying feature combination 6 on the 7th test. Combination 6 had 5 charaterization feature 1, feature 2, feature 3, feature 4, and feature 5. Each feature was a colective feature of 9 segment which had explanation like this : feature 1 was Intensity of Character (Black), feature 2 was Mark Direction Diagonal 1 (Diag1), feature 3 was Mark Direction Diagonal 2 (Diag2), feature 4 was Mark Direction Horisontal (Horz) , and feature 5 was Mark Direction Vertical (Vert). This study revealed succeeded in proving that thebackpropagation algorithm was able to recognize Hiragana letters after achieving a success rate of accuracy above 85% which was 86.63%.S

Abstract

Javanese script is an important cultural legacy as it was widely used in a great number of old books. Digital restoration can be used to preserve these books, but the challenge is the script in these old books may be damaged due to age. Digital restoration, which involves such processes as thinning, feature extraction, and pattern matching, can be used to assist in accelerating the manual restoration process. The average success rate of this digital restoration project is only 82,07%, but it is a good start in the digital restoration of damaged print Javanese script.
