Abstract

Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning are models that can increase motivation and learning outcomes of Macromedia Flash-based students on chemical equilibrium materials. The instruments used in this study are test instruments with a cognitive level of C3-C5 and non-test instruments of learning motivation questionnaires. This study aims to: 1) To determine the differences in learning outcomes with the PBL and DL models; and 2) To find a linear and significant relationship between motivatIon and student learning outcomes. The sample was 64 students of class XI MIPA 1 and MIPA 2 who were taken using random sampling techniques. Data analysis using a two-party t-test and a correlation test. The results: 1) There were differences in chemistry learning outcomes of students who were using the PBL and DL models. Where student learning outcomes obtained PBL model (18,219±2,268) and student learning outcomes using the DL model (16,438±2,327) with tvalue (3,101) > ttable (2.00) and a sig value (0.003)< sig(0.05). 2) There is a linear and significant correlation between motivation and student learning outcomes where in the PBL model obtained r count (0.773) > r table (0.349) and dl model obtained rcount (0.770) > r table (0.349) with sig(0.000) value < sig (0.05).

Abstract

Every student is required to master science literacy in social life because this literacy is related to the ability of students to relate issues about science and their ideas as citizens. The logical influence of the demands of teacher professionalism in the presentation of chemistry learning is the teacher's ability to create the right learning strategy in accordance with the problems faced in the world of education. One of the things that can be done in solving the problem in question is to transfer the old learning method with the new one. This study aims to determine the improvement of HOTS literacy by integrating the PjBL model with the Crossword Puzzle media on the Reaction Rate material in class XI SMA and to describe the most developed aspects of HOTS literacy. This research is a Quantitative Descriptive research using an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design design. The results showed that students' HOTS literacy ability increased through learning with the PjBL model with Crossword media, this was proven through a t-test that obtained a value tcount > ttable (7.152 > 2,03452) with an N-gain value of 0.7079 (70.79%).

Abstract

Learning is required to always be creative in presenting learning materials such as using learning models that can foster student™s enthusiasm in participating  learning process, so that students are happy and interested in exploring the lesson in the hope that their learning outcomes will be better. This study aims to (1) determine the increase in student learning outcomes taught with the Problem Based Learning model based on critical thinking is higher than the Direct Instruction model (2) to find out whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model based on critical thinking on learning activities students on acid base material. From the results of the study, it was found that student learning outcomes in the experimental class were 77%, while those in the control class were 62%. The result of the difference in increasing learning outcomes between the two classes is 15%. From the t distribution data obtained t-table = 1.676 while based on calculations obtained price tcount = 3.73 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, based on this analysis means there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model Learning based on critical thinking towards student learning activities on Acid-Base material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning the Teams Games Tournament type assisted by crossword puzzles (TTS) media on the interests and learning outcomes of Class XI MIA SMA Terpadu Hati Tersuci Maria Halilulik Academic Year 2021/2022. This research was conducted in a control class, colloidal system material was taught using a conventional model, while in the experimental class using the Teams Games Tournament type learning model assisted by crossword puzzles (TTS) for 4 meetings. For students' interest in learning, both classes were given questionnaires before and after learning activities. The results of the research hypothesis test showed that there were significant differences in interest and learning outcomes between students who were taught using the Teams Games Tournament type learning model in the form of crossword puzzles (TTS) and students who were taught using conventional learning models. The t-test results obtained sig.2-tailed value <5% significant level, namely 0.02<0.05 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Keywords: Teams Games Tournament, Crossword Puzzles, Interest in Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

In the 21st century, education is becoming increasingly important to ensure students have learning and innovation skills, skills in using information technology and media, and can work and survive using life skills. One of the life skills that students must have now is HOTs-literacy. This research aims to (1) to find out learning media used in learning process; (2) to design a prototype that will be developed to produce a learning media based on HOTs-literacy; (3) to find out whether the learning media that has been developed meets the criteria; (4) to find out student responses to the media. The method used in this research is 4D model. The result: Based 5 validators it was found 86.6% with a very high Percent Interpretation and a œEligible level of eligibility of the media and for the student responses get 95.71% with œvery interesting level. This shows that the HOTS-Literacy-based learning media using iSpring on acid-base material that has been developed is very attractive to students, so it can be used as a supporting medium in learning chemistry.
