Abstract

The determination of landsuitability (residential, industrial, forestry, recreation, and waste disposal sites) in a given area need the attention of decision makers at both the central and local levels. Various parameters (roads, slope, water availability, etc.) should be considered carefully so that decision makers can make a qualified decision-making. In this paper, we chose AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) as a method to be used as a basis for decision making. In this case, GIS (Geographical Information System) which is able to visualize a particular geographic area can be used show the AHP’s calculation results to a computer screen or in the printed maps.

Abstract

Typically, composition of producer gas from biomass gasification are combustible gas (CO, H2, and CH4), and noncombustible gas (CO2 and N2). A composition of combustible gas affects a calorific value of producer gas from biomass gasification. Composition of CO, H2, CH4, CO2 and N2 in producer gas is affected by producer gas flow rate and equivalence ratio. This experimental work aims to study an effect of producer gas flow rate and equivalence ratio on composition and calorific value of producer gas from gasification of Pongamia pinnata shells. Gasification of these shells is carried out in a 20 kWe downdraft wood gasifier. Original conical grate of gasifier reactor has been replaced with smaller diameter to encounter a blocking problem in grate section of reactor. Air flow rate into a gasifier reactor is controlled using different number of air nozzle opening. Globe valve is used to control producer gas flow rate. Sample of producer gas is measured using Gas Chromatograph for different flow rate and air nozzle opening. Calorific value of producer gas is calculated from percentage of combustible gas present in producer gas. Equivalence ratio is a ratio of air/biomass theoretical to ratio of air/biomass actual. Optimum calorific value of producer gas from Pongamia pinnata shells gasification is obtained at producer gas flow rate of 9.9 g/s and at equivalence ratio of 0.5.

Abstract

Potency of Merapi lahars in Putih River, Magelang Regency, is described in terms of management of material deposition. The methode is carried out with the description of material, determination of lahars forming factors, and the geology environmental. Merapi eruption on 2010 has producted volcanic materials about 130 million metre cubic, spread in the upper river of Merapi Volcano as Gendol River, Apu River, Trising River, Senowo River, Lamat River, Putih River, Bebeng River, Krasak River, Bedog River, Boyong River, Kuning River, Opak River and Woro River. One of the rivers in Magelang regency known Putih River, has material volcanic as much as 8,2 million metre cubic. Lahars which to is grouped materials clasification like sands and rocks varying in size. While impact of lahars which must to beware are debris avalanche, over topping, and flood. Therefore in order to minimize the abuse authority, disaster management covers prevention, emergency response, and rehabilitation after disaster is necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to find the algorithms for designing a distributed database architecture with replication method that will be implemented on an academic database. From this study it is hoped that will get a distributed database architecture that can cope with the availability of data on academic information system. By using a distributed database an application can provide information to its end users to retrieve data from the sources closest to the network from the end user transactions.This design was developed and built using the MySQL database type InnoDB. The design was focused in managing a distributed database using the replication method. Transaction processing was only done to the master, while the slave was only a mirror. Data that has been transacted by the slave will be synchronized with the two methods of automatic and manual by following the pattern of events in the academic system. Master was put on the intranet so that the area will ensure the safety of its data, while the slave was spread to multiple database servers, both intranet and public. Web applications that use the data base was placed disuatu domains on the Internet. The results of this study indicate that by doing the exact distribution of the database. With this method an information system is not necessarily connected to a database, but sufficiently connected to the nearest slave database of network users, so in addition to reducing the server load will also further increase the speed in obtaining data and will impact on the confidence level stack holder.

Abstract

Problem of solvability of polynomial equations and matrix eigenvalue relation to the placement of an infinite state-feedback is important to learn because it deals with the properties of dynamic and static systems. In this case discussed the problem with putting the infinite eigenvalue decomposition of the standard, then the results are applied to problem solving matrix polynomial equations. Abstract

In rural areas there is generally a major irrigation canal that serves to irrigate the fields and also has the potential to be used as power plants. Developments Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul area, an agricultural region and its inhabitants have a side job as grate the coconut and make various handicrafts for souvenirs that use raw materials from a particular timber. Development of today's technology provides a variety of environmental impacts, both positive and negative, in the presence of micro hydropower plant in one of the villages in the area Imogiri will certainly add a positive impact for local communities. In the presence of micro-hydro, if night can be used as a means of public street lighting so that security and a sense of anxiety at night reduced incomes and to increase trade group be established to process the materials of wood and iron to take advantage of wood-working equipment that require electricity results from the existing micro-hydro power, yet still very limited relative kapisitasnya. Side activity that utilizes peratan carpentry can not be fulfilled using electricity from existing plants.Therefore we need an increased effort on Micro Hydro Power (MHP) is still very limited relative power. Abstract

The objective of research is to determine the inundated condition of Parangwedang Hot Spring Resources and provide to support tourism development. Methods of research was conducted by field research, source water sampling of Parangwedang Hot Springs and laboratory analysis.Lithology of study area is composed by Tertiary volcanic rocks, carbonaceuos clastic sediments and Quarternary alluvial deposits. Based on hydrogeological condition, known that study area has potential hot spring water. Based on geological analysis, and the study of Parangwedang Hot Spring known that resources is a remnant of palaeomagmatism during Tertiarry. In the basis of physics, chemistry and limited microbiology analysis, Parangwedang Hot Spring might be applied to toursm development, such as thermal baths. In order Parangwedang Hot Spring Resources to be a main tourist destination in Parangtritis area, the government of Bantul Regency should be improved to promote it and collaborate with their sponsorship, in increasing its tourism management.

Abstract

Aneka Tambang Tbk UBPN SULTRA was the once company of nation under order of BUMN (Badan Usaha Milik Negara) consentration in mining nickel, in place At Kecamatan Pomalaa, Kabupaten Kolaka South East Provence. Two factory was operated since 1975 with capacity 11.000 ton nickel/year, however once factory was builded since 1995 with capacity 24.000 ton nickel/year and after that production since 2004 with cost assumption 200 U$$. One of step process smelter to up the ferronickel grade is refining process. And to down sulfur grade in product so that accept standart product in market ≤ 0,03%, that do it de-sulfurisasi process. The problem in refining process specialy de-sulfurisasi refining is over consumption calcium cabid, long time process that down the temperature and grade in product not accept in international market.From result of calculated consumption calsium cardib for de-sulfurisasi proces as we know that rate consumption for assosiated 1 kg sulfur need 3, 69 kg calsium cardib. And to reduce consumption between planning and realitation is 40,39 kg/tapping proces. Rate temperature need is 2oc/minute for once tapping proces and need time to proces is 37 minute.rate Down temperature for once proces is 74,2oc, rate of consumption calsium carbid pertapping is 489,6 kg. Factor’s efect in comsumption calsium carbid is condition of ladle, temperatur,stirer condition, mechanisem into material in ladle and specialy of operator.

Abstract

The compony survive at this point is to create a good work system, from workers point of view, the demans of work and employment components of the existing system may causing many problems to be faced and it can lead to boredom at work. Each componenet to the work system towars level of stress faced by employees. The tools that used to determine the effect of the work system components towards work stress macroergonomics organizational work stress is macroergonomics organizational ques-tionnaire survey and path analysis. It can be seen that simultaneous effect of organi-zational condition employment conditions, physical environments, social enviroment, equipment and technology, and towards work stress experienced by employees amoun-ted to 0.820 and this proves that the influence af all work system components has been investigated is strongly affected the stress of work. While the partial effects of work system components to the stress of work are : organizational conditions amounted to 0,153, the working conditions are 0,166, the physical environment give 0,176 contri-bution, the social environment 0,066, equipment and thecnology amounted to 0,148, and the individual characteristic are to 0,111. So can conclude thet overally, the system components are significantly the work stress.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the need for a tool for community useful in diagnosing the disease in human being. This tool is an expert system which using Visual Basic 6.0. This expert system is used to diagnose and also able to provide medical advice. Inference method used is forward chaining with the model of Depth First Search. The output of this system in the form of the name of the disease and treatment suggestions.
