Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is that learning is limited to the new normal in which some students study at school and at home. Even so, learning must still prioritize character education for students. One of the learning strategies at home is to use learning videos uploaded on YouTube. The objectives of this research are to describe (1) the learning video process is able to improve independent character in English greeting card material, (2) the results of the teaching and learning process using learning videos that can improve independent character in English greeting card material, and (3) changes in behavior/attitudes in students after using learning videos. The research approach used is Research and Development. The development stage used the Alessi & Trollip model including planning, design, and development. The findings are as follows; The gain index was obtained at 0.43 medium category, which means that learning videos are effectively used for the teaching and learning process during the pandemic, learning completeness from 12.5% to 93.75% has increased by 81.25%, the independent attitude of students has increased significantly, previously by 50% to 62.50% and an increase of 12.50%, the results of the material and media expert instrument are 4. This shows that learning videos are suitable for use for junior high school.

Abstract

Utilizing local potential in learning can make students understand the object of material in daily life, and it's giving a positive impact on higher learning interests. This research aimed to find out students’ interest in learning science after using local potential integrated learning. The subject of the study was a class of students in SMP Negeri 2 Genteng 7th grade, consisting of 32 students. This was Pre Experimental research with One Group Pretest Posttest research design. The sample was chosen by purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used was learning interest questionnaires. The poll was developed by researchers, by showing indicators of learning interest with 23 questions. The data analysis used paired sample t-test and n-gain test. The result shows that the significant value in paired sample t-test is 0.000, lower than 0.05. So, it can be said that local potential integrated learning is significant in increasing students' science learning interests. The average N-gain of student's learning interest increased before and after treatment by 0.60, belonging to moderate criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility of SH POP media in improving the literacy skills of elementary school students. This type of research is development research referring to the opinion of Borg & Gall. The design of the development of this learning device includes 10 steps, namely (1) preliminary research and information collection; (2) planning; (3) product draft development; (4) initial trial; (5) revise the results of the limited trial; (6) field trials; (7) refinement of the product from field trials; (8) operational field trials; (9) final product refinement, and (10) dissemination. The research subjects were students of class IIID SDIT Izzatul Islam Getasan Kab. Semarang. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique uses Miles & Hubberman interactive analysis. The results showed that the feasibility of the SH POP media showed a validity score of 91, a practicality score of 91, and an effectiveness score of 86. This proves that the SH POP media is feasible to improve the literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using the "Floathing City Islands Game" in learning mathematics during the Distance Learning (PJJ) period to increase knowledge competence and interest in learning mathematics. The method used in this paper is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects in this study were 32 class VIII C students of SMPN 1 Tempuran who studied through online PJJ. The learning innovations that are made contain a recreative element, namely an educational game that is given “Floathing City Islands”. In games based on material or math questions for preparation for the Year End Assessment (PAT). The game was developed using the Articulate Storyline 3 application. The results showed that (a) “Floating City Islands” can be applied to meaningful and fun mathematics learning during PJJ or BDR. (b) This game is effective for increasing students' knowledge competence and learning interest.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process and results of the development of IPS worksheets based on integrated cooperative reading and writing models and the effectiveness of these products in increasing literacy in social studies learning. This research is a Research and Development type with the ADDIE model which was conducted at the Bojonegoro Integrated Model Public Middle School. Product development results are tested through formative evaluation which includes validation tests of social studies material experts, expert validation tests of social studies learning media, individual, small group, and field trials. The product of the development results is in the form of social worksheets based on integrated cooperative reading and writing models. The feasibility results of the validation test by social studies material experts and social studies learning media experts are included in the very feasible category. The results of individual, small group and field trials were included in the very feasible category. The product effectiveness test results using the t-test show that the use of this product can increase student literacy. The overall results of the formative evaluation showed that the product resulting from this development is very suitable for use in social studies learning.

Abstract

Learning mathematics material on number patterns is very relevant in teaching students to think computationally. This study uses a JavaScript-based web calculator media to help students explore their learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of learning number patterns using a web calculator media and to find out the percentage of students’ positive responses in computational thinking. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The results showed that (a) most of the students understood pattern recognition, decomposition and abstraction; (b) the average percentage of student responses related to computational thinking: pattern recognition of 82.7%, decomposition of 72.4%, abstraction of 68.9%, while in algorithms of 67.24%; (c) The average computational thinking ability is 72.8%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the increase in students' Indonesian literacy through the use of interactive CD media in 6th grade elementary school students. The research method is classroom action research. Collecting data using observation techniques, tests, and interviews. The results of the study show that learning using interactive CD media can increase the activity and literacy skills in Indonesian for 6th graders of Pakaan Dajah Elementary School. Indonesian language literacy skills in students have increased, we can see from the average score of students. In the initial conditions the average value was 40, in cycle I it increased to 60, and in cycle II it increased to 85. It can conclused that the application of Interactive CD media is quite significant in improve literacy skills in Indonesian for grade 6 students at SDN Pakaan Dajah.

Abstract

Educational technology competence is urgently needed for teachers in the 21st century. As stated by UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teacher version 3, the use of ICT technology and basic competencies in 21st-century skills greatly assists teachers in the application of educational technology. This article examines the evaluation of PembaTIK 2021. The purpose of this research is to evaluate PembaTIK 2021 on how to determine the impact of MOOC using Kirkpatrick's four-level training evaluation approach, with studies at two evaluation levels, namely Reaction and Learning Level. This study uses a survey method. The survey was conducted to capture responses from participants in the PembaTIK 2021 Program at Pre-Level and Level 1, most of whom are teachers at all levels of education from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results show that MOOC effectively achieves increased teacher expertise in educational technology. MOOCs have been successful in changing teachers' attitudes toward the use of basic technology and ICT, creating educational resources for their students, and using innovative teaching approaches in their classrooms. The conclusion is that there has been an increase in teacher ICT competence through ICT-based learning and the MOOC platform.

Abstract

Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SMPN 41 Surabaya for the theme of democracy was integrated into several subjects, namely PKN, Indonesian, Cultural Arts and Javanese in the Merdeka Curriculum. The heterogeneity of students' intelligence in completing group assignments encourages teachers to carry out classroom actions using the peer tutor model. This class action was carried out in two cycles with the same stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. There was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle I. In cycle I, 27 students entered the upper category and in cycle 2 all students (30 people) entered the upper category.

Abstract

Learning mentoring by parents or guardians of students at home is considered difficult, such as mathematics, science, and English subjects. If the material is difficult and delivered with media that is difficult to understand, the students of the State Junior High School 1 Purwodadi are less enthusiastic when learning distance online. This can be caused by a lack of attention and a lack of interest from students to take part in ongoing learning. Junior high school students who are still young children prefer to play games rather than study even though they both use Android. The author uses educational games with Wordwall applications for a fun online learning process and has the aim of improving the ability and understanding of students easily. The results of this activity are very useful because they can provide additional insight and knowledge about easy and fun learning, foster enthusiasm and learning motivation for students at the State Junior High School 1 Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, helping teachers to provide media that students like, fun and accidental learning occurs in understanding the learning material taught by the teacher.
