Jurnal Didaktika Pendidikan Dasar is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, which publishes high-quality and innovative scientific work at the forefront of all sciences in the form of interdisciplinary research and book reviews in the field of basic education. This journal is published by the Directorate GTK Pendidikan Dasar, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, and published three times a year (March, July, and November) with E-ISSN: 2746-0525 and P-ISSN: 2580-006X. The main objective of this journal is to publish scientific papers in the field of basic education from teachers, school principals, supervisors, and other educational personnel (such as school administration staff, laboratory staff, library staff), as well as observers of basic education. This article is based on good practice on how to integrate strengthening character education through the “Sanggam Riska” technique with the aim of improving poetry writing skills for grade VIII junior high school students. It was found that there were indications of a student's lack of courtesy, both to fellow students and to the teacher. The "Sanggam Riska" technique is a technique of stimulating the image of the gathering of words in groups. Learning with the "Sanggam Riska" technique can significantly improve students' ability to choose words, figure of speech, and rhyme in writing poetry for students at SMP N 1 Kemranjen which has implications for increasing literary learning achievement by strengthening character education. Strengthening character education in the form of cooperation in word contributions, patiently waiting for their turn, and self-confidence was clearly seen when students had group discussions.

Based on the results of learning observations conducted at Bareng 05 Public Elementary School, Malang City, it was found that the learning outcomes and student activity during science content learning were still not optimal. An alternative solution to this problem is the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model using comics in the form of e-books. This study uses a classroom action research model from Kemmis & Mc Taggart. Each research cycle consists of planning, acting & observing, reflecting, and revising plan stages. Each cycle carried out two learning activities. The results showed that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by comic-based e-books could increase the activities and learning outcomes of science content for fourth graders of Bareng Public Elementary School 05. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested that further researchers develop and research e-books as media Learning is made according to the material to be taught.

This study aims to improve reading comprehension skills of explanatory texts using the PQRST (preview, question, read, state, test) method in 5th grade at SD Negeri 3 Gunungsari, West Lombok district. This type of research is an experimental design one group pretest-posttest, which is a research design by conducting the first observation (pretest) which allows researchers to examine changes (cognitive, affective and psychomotor that occur in the second observation (posttest). The sample in this study was taken using saturated sampling is the determination of the sample when all members of the population are used as a sample of 46 students. The data analysis used was descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. The results of the t test show that the significance value is 0.000 <0.05 so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of this study are 1) there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of pretest and posttest reading comprehension skills using the PQRST method (preview, question, read, state, test). 2) the use of the PQRST method is effective in increasing reading interest and reading comprehension skills of explanation texts in grade 5 SD negeri 3 Gunungsari.

This research aims to learn about the learning activities of learners in the Scientific Learning Process which is integrated with the “Make a Match” Strategy and “Reward Education Games” and also to learn about how to apply in the Scientific Learning Process which is integrated with “Make a Match” Strategy and “Reward Education Games’. This study was conducted in class VI SDN 37 Southeast Pontianak with a total of 26 students which consisted of 16 male students and 10 female students in the subject of social studies. The results of the research obtained are learning by innovating the development of a scientific approach that is integrated with “Make a Match” and “Reward Education Games” that are done well to increase the student's learning activities of class VI at SDN 37 Southeast Pontianak. The absorption of students to learning showed there are some students who get scores above the KKM reaching 84.6%.

21st century English learning refers to communicative, intercultural competencies, attitudes in the form of self-confidence to be independent and responsible, as well as critical and creative reasoning skills. Creative and interesting digital learning has not been able to reflect the expected English learning achievement targets. This study describes the effectiveness of strengthening noble characters towards optimizing English learning. Classroom Action Research (CAR) using simple qualitative and quantitative methods is used to answer the formulation of this research problem. Observations of students and teachers in the learning process, questionnaires, interviews and documentation of grades were used to collect research data. Researchers use cognitive diagnostic assessment as a preliminary study of research. Observation data of students and teachers are used to answer the optimization of the English learning process. To answer the strengthening of character education in the learning process, the researchers used questionnaire data. Furthermore, interview data after the learning process, documentation of process values and results were used as data triangulation to achieve research validity. Interestingly, this study has a novel value, namely, character strengthening carried out in the English learning process is able to increase the positive behavior of students who are sustainable in the formation of noble character. The increase in the value of the learning process is an implication of changes in the positive behavior of students. Finally, the researcher recommends future research to examine the effectiveness of the text-based approach in cognate subjects.

During a pandemic like this, all efforts will be made of course in accordance with the procedures in the education system in terms of the learning process carried out by a remote system using an online network. Since learning from home (BDR) has been implemented, face-to-face opportunities with students do not occur, while knowledge transfer must continue. This research is based on problems conducted online in Class IV SDN Sawunggaling VII/388 as follows: (a How are teacher and student activities in an effort to increase student understanding of non-fiction text material for Indonesian language lessons theme 5 using Sway Office 365 media (b) What are the results learning in an effort to increase students' understanding when the non-fiction text material for Indonesian language lessons theme 5 uses Sway Office 365 media? This study uses classroom action with the result that there is an increase in teacher and student activity so that the impact on student learning outcomes has increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely, cycle I (70.96%), and cycle II (93.55%). The conclusion of this study is that Sway Office 365 media can have a positive effect on online student learning activities and outcomes.

The purpose of this research is to increase the activity and learning outcomes of mathematics by applying the project based learning model of group discussion methods in class V.A SDN 02 Payakumbuh. This type of research is Classroom Action Research carried out based on class action research steps with two cycles. The research data is in the form of test results, learning observations, field notes, and documentation of each learning improvement action. The source of research data is the process of learning activities from the researched subjects, namely teachers and students in class V.A, totaling 32 people. The results of this study can be seen from the recapitulation of the increased activity of students from pre-cycle to cycle II of 16.01%. Then experienced an increase of 18.02%. The learning outcomes of the knowledge aspect increased from 61.25 to 77.50 in cycle I, increased again to 88.75 in cycle II with an increase of 11.25%. The learning outcomes of the skills aspect obtained an average of 70.23 in pre-cycle, increasing to 82.50 in cycle II with an increase of 29.69%. It can be concluded that the application of the project based learning model in mathematics lessons can increase student activity and learning outcomes.

Learning English at SMP Negeri 1 Gondang has not been able to improve recount text writing skills. Students’ writing skill in VIII I class still needs to be improved. The teacher conducts class action by creating Pictory Picture Trip Story media combined with TOEFL (Title Orientation Events Feeling Last) diagrams. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. At the end of the action, students' writing recount text skills increased from an average of 73 in pre-cycle to 80.In short, it can be concluded that the use of Pictory assisted with TOEFL diagram can improve students’ writing skills of recount text in VIII I class 2019/2020 academic year.

The One Roof School is the Government's innovation in the compulsory education program in Remote, Scattered, and Isolated areas. One of the programs to create skilled and independent students is the entrepreneurship program. This research is field research with a case study method taken from the best experience conducted by school principals. This research was conducted at the Tambelang One Roof Public Junior High School, Bekasi, West Java for the 2019/2020 academic year. During implementation, students are observed and measured using an instrument sheet, this aims to measure the skilled and independent attitudes of students. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis in the field, it was found that after the implementation of the program, the number of students who were quite skilled to very skilled became 98% or as many as 63 children, with an increase of 86%. Independence increased to 95%, from only 3 people to as many as 64 people. In conclusion, through the direct practice of business activities in schools, students can experience, examine, and understand the concept of entrepreneurship so as to shape students' entrepreneurial attitudes and mentality, namely being skilled and independent.

The purpose of this study is to examine the math problems labeled as higher order thinking skills (HOTS) on the test. The elements to be evaluated are organized in a grid for creating test questions, which are then utilized as templates to create test questions after being qualitatively reviewed. The product was subsequently put to the test on Pesawaran's class IX SMP pupils. In this study, the test data were classified as HOTS, and the expert validation result were used to collect the data. There were 18 questions on the HOTS category math test, 15 of which were multiple-choice and 3 of which were short answer. Based on the analysis of the difficulty level of the questions in the field test trials, it found that in multiple-choice question there were eight items in the easy category and seven items in the medium category. In the essay questions, there is one item in the easy category and two items in the medium category.
