Abstract

Study aims to utilize Google Docs media to improve learning, students' creativity, as well as improve students’ literacy skills. By using this application, besides being easy to use, it is also expected to be able to ignite the creativity of students in working on worksheets together. This research is also to find out efforts to improve students' digital literacy skills in the subjects of Religious Education and Character Education at the Junior High School level. The benefits of this research are to improve the digital literacy skills of students. The research method used is naturalistic qualitative method to examine the factual conditions and needs of students for the development of learning designs. The research includes program design, implementation, efforts to overcome obstacles that occur in the field, and evaluation. The research instrument used observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation techniques. This research was conducted at Junior High School 1 Sarang with the research subjects being 32 students of class 8E. Technically, the implementation procedure includes the following steps: (1) Preparing worksheets; (2) Division of tasks for students; (3) Looking for answers by using literacy resources; (4) Write down the results of the search for answers; (5) Editing the answer results into a complete reading; (6) Evaluation. From the results of the study, it was found that students were motivated to use media in learning, and the enthusiasm for learning began to grow.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the value of character education in the fable story at the second grade thematic student book with the theme Kebersamaan and to describe the result deconstruction of the character education values in the student’s book fable story. The type of research is library research. The research was conducted on textbooks of second grade thematic teaching material. The goal is analyzing the contents of the book. The indicators are used to determine the contents of the book, and the final goal is to know the result of the analysis the contents of the book. The result of the research is that children’s literature at the second grade thematic student books with the theme Kebersamaan contains the value of character education, has a dominant text and a reversal of the dominant text which shows the existence of marginalized moral messages.

Abstract

The reading literacy ability of the fifth grade PAM Pilot State Elementary School students is low because their willingness to read is also low. This study aims to develop learning media to increase students' reading interest. The media developed is the Smart App Creator which contains material on cultural diversity in South Sulawesi Province. This research is for the fifth grade students of the PAM Pilot State Elementary School for the 2020/2021 academic year. This research method is the Research and Development research method referring to the ADDIE development model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The results obtained from the response questionnaire are 6 students or 21.43% good category, and 22 students or 78.57% very good category. Students gave a positive response to the Smart App Creator learning media in social studies subjects. The results of the literacy improvement test are 10 students or 35.71% with a score of 100, 5 students or 17.86% with a score of 90, and 13 students or 46,43% with a score of 80. From these results, it can be seen that there is an increase in the literacy of class students. Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the form of speech and selection strategies as well as in literacy activities in schools. The aims of this study are (a) to describe the form of expressive speech acts, (b) to describe the strategies for speaking in expressive speech acts, (3) and to imply literacy activities in learning. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data of this research are expressive utterances of speech and speech partners in the speech title of Mata Najwa. Data was collected through the look method. The data analysis technique is carried out, (1) searching, (2) classifying, (3) interpreting, (4) making conclusions about the data that has been analyzed. The results of this study consist of two findings. First, in the speech title Mata Najwa found eight expressive acts, namely (a) thanking, (b) congratulating, (c) sorry, (d) praising, (e) praising, (f) complaining, (g) blame, and (h) insinuate. Second, in the speech title of Mata Najwa in expressive speech acts, four strategies were found, namely (a) the strategy of speaking frankly without further ado, (b) the strategy of speaking frankly with positive politeness, (c) the strategy of speaking in a simple language. -Basic politeness is negative, and (d) speaking vaguely. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the speech in the Mata Najwa speech title can be used as a literacy activity in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

The development of this teaching aid is based on the fact that students have low learning motivation in the translation material. The material is not related to real life. Students can only memorize and imitate what is exemplified by the teacher so that their independence is not honed well. The use of teaching aid Denah Berpetak to assist students in building concepts and finding solutions to problems related to translation. The development of this teaching aid goes through several stages including: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. To get the data from the test results, validity sheets, effectiveness sheets, and practicality sheets were used. The results of the data analysis of the test results showed that Denah Berpetak had valid, very practical, and very effective categories. Therefore, the Denah Berpetak teaching aid can be an alternative teaching aid in the Mathematics learning material for translation.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN Bancamara III regarding Natural Appearance and Social Conditions of Neighboring Countries still do not meet the KKM set by the school. Of the 21 students, only 2 students could meet the KKM while the others could not meet the KKM, the cause was the lack of motivation of students in participating in learning. Students feel bored when studying indoors. Students have difficulty understanding social studies material because the majority of it is material that needs to be memorized. This research uses the PTK method which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The aim of this research is to describe the use of the MONCER (Smart Monopoly) game media on Natural and Social Appearance material from neighboring countries for class VI students at SDN Bancamara III, Dungkek District, Sumenep Regency. From the results of data analysis, it was found that student learning outcomes increased from an average of 38.09% classical completeness in cycle I to 90.47% in cycle II. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the use of MONCER game media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Based on its objectives, the learning of 2013 curriculum is oriented towards increasing and balancing among attitudes, skills and knowledge. From the results of observations at Public Elementary School Ngraket, the process of learning has not been able to maximize student activities. Student learning outcomes have not been able to reach the specified KKM. Based on this situation, learning improvements were made through the using of QR-Code-Based Blog media assisted by Edu-Fun Book. In addition, through the QR-Code-Based Blog media, students are introduced to new learning methods, which refer to 21st century skills (digital literacy). It has proven to be effective and successful, in terms of the process assessment and final assessment. QR-Code-Based Blog Media assisted by Edu-Fun Book was able to increase student learning activities with an average score of 4.5 on a scale of 1-5. Student learning outcomes also have significant increase. 19 students out of 20 students (95%) managed to reach the minimum standard of scoring (KKM) with an average score of 85. It means that there is an increase of 14 points from the previous learning that did not use QR-Code-Based Blog media assisted by Edu-Fun Books. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the QR-Code-Based Blog media assisted by Edu-Fun Book has succeeded in increasing student activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the low reading interest of students in Pangkalanbaru 1 State Junior High School, so it is necessary to develop school literacy programs that are liked by students so that they can increase their reading interest. Among them is the Bujang Dayang Buku program. The Bujang Dayang Buku program is a program that involves all Pangkalanbaru 1 State Junior High School students to motivate them to visit the library more often and read as many books as possible each semester. Bujang Dayang Buku was chosen based on the number of visits to the library and the number of books read in one semester. The number of visiting students was monitored through the visiting book they filled, while the number of books read was based on how many books were borrowed and the contents could be understood by students by making a synopsis. From the visitor data obtained during the 2016/2017 to 2018/2019 academic year, there was an increase of around 546 visitors, while there were about 1,298 borrowers when compared to visitor data and borrower data from previous years. Thus, it can be concluded that the Bujang Dayang Buku program as an alternative can increase students' reading interest in SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalanbaru.

Abstract

Citizenship education is a learning content that prepares students to be able to face the challenges of the 21st century as a nation. The aim of this research is to design a mini learning development model to increase student activity. This learning model is a miniature of the conference process which is designed so that students compete in arguments to solve problems. The development research method was carried out using ADDIE research (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations) and was applied in 23 students class V of SDN 01 Muara Satu as samples. There are two instruments used: 1) a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of the learning model given to two experts and 2) an observation sheet to assess student activities which consists of six activities. The resulting data was analyzed using a percentage index. The results that 1) the learning model is feasible with an average of 71.5% and can be implemented in class and 2) this model can increase student learning activity, that the average student activity has increased from 72.80% to 87.10 % or an increase of 14.3%. So the conclusion that the mini lesson model can increase student learning activities

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the relationship between teachers' digital literacy abilities and learning loss in elementary school students in Nagari Lima Kaum. The research method is a correlational quantitative method. The population is 83 teachers, while the sample is 64 teachers obtained through stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used a simple linear regression test with the help of the SPSS 22 application. The results showed that there was a relationship between teachers' digital literacy skills and learning loss in elementary school students, with sig. 0.014 < 0.05, with the contribution of the teacher's digital literacy ability to reduce learning loss in elementary school students by 9.4%, and leads to the negative, meaning that the higher the teacher's digital literacy ability, the learning loss in students will decrease, conversely the lower the ability teacher's digital literacy, the learning loss in students will be higher. So it can be concluded that in this study H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between teachers' digital literacy skills and learning loss in elementary school students in Nagari Lima Kaum.
