BULETIN LITERASI BUDAYA SEKOLAH, merupakan buletin daring berkategori akses terbuka yang dikelola oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta dan dipublikasikan oleh Muhammadiyah University Press (MUP). Program Gerakan Literasi Nasional (GLN) merupakan salah satu program Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia yang harus didukung. Salah satu bentuk dukungan untuk menyukseskan gerakan tersebut adalah dengan mewadahi keluaran aktivitas-aktivitas pendukung GLN dalam bentuk karya ilmiah yang diterbitkan dalam buletin ini. Buletin ini menerbitkan karya ilmiah yang merupakan keluaran kegiatan gerakan literasi sekolah (GLS) yang terdiri atas enam literasi dasar, yaitu literasi baca-tulis, literasi numerasi, literasi sains, literasi finansial, literasi digital, dan literasi budaya dan kewargaan. Secara spesifik, Buletin Literasi Budaya Sekolah ini juga menerima artikel ilmiah keluaran Program Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan I (PLP I) dan Magang Observasi Persekolahan. Topik pembahasan artikel yang diterbitkan mencakup kultur sekolah, struktur organisasi dan tata kelola di sekolah, peraturan dan tata tertib sekolah, kegiatan-kegiatan seremonial-formal di sekolah, kegiatan-kegiatan kurikuler, kokurikuler, dan ekstrakurikuler, serta praktik pembiasaan dan kebiasaan positif di sekolah.

Abstract

The research aims to identify teaching and learning conditions in the pandemic era, prevention of media used by teachers before and before the pandemic, learning methods used by teachers, and the impact and constraints of students and teachers during learning in the pandemic era. This study uses a qualitative method. This research technique uses interviews, observations, direct observations of teachers when carrying out learning and strengthening character education, both in intracurricular activities and co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Based on the results of this study, educational disruptions in the pandemic era had an impact on learning activities at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pemalang. It is clear that the process of teaching and learning activities which include implementation activities, learning methods, learning media are not running as normal before the COVID-19 pandemic. It turns out that remote learning or in this network after implementing several problems that arise both from teachers as educators and from students as students.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui bahan dasar pembuatan umma kalada masyarakat adat Loura; 2) untuk menemukan Sumber belajar IPS SD yang bersumber dari umma kalada masyarakat adat Loura, dan 3) untuk menemukan nilai pendidikan karakter dari umma kalada masyarakat adat Loura. Desain  penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian etnografi. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Karuni, kecamatan Loura, Sumba Barat Daya. Data dikumpulkan serta dianalisis yang bersumber dari wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur.  Partisipan penelitian etnografi ini masyarakat adat yang berada di wilayah wanno kalada masyarakat adat Loura yang masih mempertahankan umma kalada. Ditemukan bahan dasar pembuatan umma kalada adalah diperoleh dari lingkungan sekitar yakni ilalang, bambu, kayu berumur panjang, batu dan tali hutan. Nilai-nilai karakter yang ditemukan dalam bahan pembuatan umma kalada memuat lima nilai utama karakter bangsa yakni  religius, nasionalisme, mandiri, gotong royong, dan integritas. Bahan pembuatan umma Kalada dijadikan sebagai sumber IPS belajar yang kontekstual dengan materi kekayaan sumber daya alam daerah setempat dan pemanfaatannya bagi kehidupan manusia. Sedangkan nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam umma kalada menjadi sumber pendidikan karakter di dalam kelas maupun budaya sekolah untuk mendukung program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter.

Abstract

Every student essentially can face various difficulties, obstacles, and psychological pressures in carrying out academic activities. Thus, to handle and carry out a preventive attitude towards the academics activities programs, it is necessary to provide a forum as an intermediary between the school and parents, namely the Ladies Programs. This forum is a way to search for information related to students at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. The Ladies program is a previous program to study. This study aims to determine 1) the description of teacher communication with parents at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. 2) a communication strategy developed by SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari through the ladies program forum. This strategy is a forum implemented by SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari to find out the conditions and information related to students. This research is a qualitative approach. The data was by conducting observations and interviews with related parties. Based on the results, it has been that communication between teachers and parents can occur through the Ladies Program forum. SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari has several programs to establish communication, such as Cooking Class, Learning by Maestro, and Ladies Programs. This program can be run by involving parents in every activity. The communication strategy is occurring through the Ladies Programs forum, a communication activity forum has held every month and involves the roles of parents and teachers.

Abstract

The implementation of 5S culture in improving the quality of student character education at SMP Negeri 3 Polokarto. The formulation of the problems contained in this article is, How to planning 5S activities at Smpn 3 polokarto, How to implement 5S Activities at SMPN 3 polokarto, How to realize 5S movement activities in improving character education student at SMPN 3 polokarto this study aims to determine how important 5S culture is in cultivating character in students of smp negeri 3 polokarto. This research uses qualitative methods, a method which can be interpreted as a research activity that prioritizes combined data obtained from field research and is manifested in the form of words,phrases,clauses,sentences,discourses.Based on the results obtained from observations, 5S cultural activities can improve student character education, students are taught to be polite and courteous to anyone, students are also taught to smile, greet and greet every time they meet or meet friends or teachers,and students can know and practice how culture of the 5S.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is increasing drastically every day. Its impact has made all aspects of people's lives change. One of them is in education. Therefore, the government implements distance or online learning, where children start learning from their respective homes without the need to go to school. In this case, schools, especially teachers, are required to try to create learning to keep it going even though they are not in direct school and choose the use of media or platforms used for online learning that are easy to use by students. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation conducted at SD Negeri 15 Sragen. Researchers found that during online learning the teacher chose to use the platform WhatsApp. Students assess online learning using alternative media WhatsApp is very popular with students compared to using learning media or other platforms. Through the WhatsApp application the teacher can provide material in writing, orally, send videos, send YouTube links, and also teachers can make video calls when there are students who have difficulty understanding the lesson.

Abstract

Healthy living culture is a concept of life by prioritizing various life activities based on a healthy lifestyle.  The purpose of this study was to determine canteen management based on a healthy living culture through the use of food vouchers as a transaction tool in elementary schools.  Food vouchers are a means of substituting money for students to buy food or drinks at the SD Muhammadiyah Simo Special Program canteen.  Thus, it is not possible for students to buy food outside the school environment. The data analysis technique of this research is carried out inductively which goes from fact to theory, with the intention of avoiding data manipulation. Then, to test the validity of the data, it was done using triangulation of data learning techniques. This research uses qualitative methods through interviews, documentation and observation.  The research found that there is a management of food vouchers in the canteen towards a culture of healthy living in an elementary school environment. Based on the results of interviews conducted at the SD Muhammadiyah Simo Special Program, the school implemented the use of food vouchers to minimize children buying food from outside of school.  That way, students' health will be more secure.  The parents also fully support the provision of food vouchers, they feel safer because the school canteen provides healthy food without harmful ingredients.

Abstract

Teachers have been challenged to provide an adaptive and effective learning during the Covid-19 outbreak. This study aims to see the effectiveness of using Google Classroom in the impact of the disaster during the Covid-19 outbreak at SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari. This research is based on the power of Google Classroom in changing the learning process in the future into distance learning at SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari. The quantitative approach is used with surveys and interviews. Respondents in this study were 50 students and one civic education teacher. The results found that Google Classroom was effective as an online learning platform. Evidenced by 1) 64% of learning through Google Classroom is effective; 2) 68% of the delivery of the material is easy to apply; 3) 82% of the material is easily accessible; 4) 72% easy assignment delivery and; 5) 46% of students were satisfied with the material presented. To increase the effectiveness of using Google Classroom, the teacher may prepare well by providing information in advance. In addition, Google Classroom can be used not only for measurement, but also for learning and personal management.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 virus attacked Indonesia, which has an impact on the education sector. Which transforms face-to-face learning systems into distance learning / online. This online learning encourages digital literacy at its peak, because all learning is online based and uses communication tools. Digital literacy is a solution in this pandemic with all the conveniences and can be accessed at any time, this digital literacy gives rise to the independent learning method. Independent learning is learning on one's own initiative and without someone's supervision, so that students are required to understand the learning material themselves without being supervised by the teacher. This study aims to determine the level of learning independence in terms of digital literacy implementation. The method used in this research is qualitative. The results of this study prove that the level of learning independence in terms of digital literacy implementation is very low, due to several factors. Teachers should provide motivation, give praise and support to their students in order to increase learning independence.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data and information related to the implementation of the use of online learning media in online learning in mathematics. This study uses qualitative research methods through descriptive explanations to find out an overview of the use of online learning media in online mathematics learning. Participants in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Juwiring class VIII E, F, G, H and the math teacher in that class. Data collection was carried out by interview, direct observation, learning value, documentation and distributing questionnaires to students. The results of this study are teachers using whatsapp group and google classroom in online learning, unstable internet network, lack of student understanding of the material, and the number of assignments given. Learning online is less effective because the teacher only provides material and assignments. Teachers can increase learning online outcomes with present material through LMS, provide guidance and communication to students in need, and improve teacher skills in learning.
