Jurnal Tektan merupakan salah satu jurnal di Politeknik Negeri Lampung yang  menampung hasil penelitian berupa artikel ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan Ilmu Keteknikan Pertanian, Mekanisasi Pertanian, Teknik Kimia, Teknik Sumberdaya Lahan dan Lingkungan,dimana artikel tersebut belum pernah dipublikasikan. Jurnal TekTan di terbitkan oleh Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Polinela Unit 3x dalam setahun. Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Pertanian Ini diterbitkan oleh Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Polinela Sebagai Wadah Bagi Dosen, Mahasiswa dan PLP untuk mempublikasikan karya penulisannya. Jurnal ini sempat mengalami Jeda Pengaktifan Selama 3 tahun mulai terbitan 2016 sampai Agustus 2019, hal ini disebabkan karena kekosongan tim pengelola Jurnal. Kemudian dengan manajemen pengelolaan yang baru maka diterbitkan kembali untuk volume 11 No. 3 pada tanggal 16 Desember 2019

Abstract

The research was conducted in rainfed paddy  field at Cisarua Village, Natar  Sub District, Lampung Selatan Region to find out the area of plot distribution irrigation water to obtained the maximum area will be irrigated and the maximum net income. The treatment of intermittent irrigation are the intermittent irrigation with area plot distribution of water irrigation of 1,000 m2, 2,000 m2, 3,000 m2, 4,000 m2, and  5,000 m2. Preparation of seedling for the intermittent irrigation treatment using paddy field.   The treatment the intermittent irigation were using transplanting of 1 young seedling (18 days after seeding) at wider space 22 cm x 22 cm with range legowo 5:1. The results of these research showed that the total amount water application for plowing, harrowing, and leveling namely 656 m3/ha, but for growing paddy plant namely 626 m3/ha for each apply water irrigation.  Icreasing the area plot distribution of water irrigation so that the area paddy field will be irrigated also increase with the same of pumping discharge.  The maximum area paddy field can be irrigated with pumping capacity of ground water of 1,243 l/dt namely 1.1 ha with combination 2 plot distribution water irrigation with size 4.000 m2 each and 1 plot distribution water irrigation with size 3,000 m2 per planting season and obtained the maximum net income of Rp 19,414,333.   The average paddy prodcution obtained 7,366.7 kg/ha with amount water irrigation application 3.782 m3/ha. The Water irrigation productivity and the total water productivity of 1.95 and 0.91 kg/m3 repectively. Keywords: irigasi intermittent irrigation, amout water irrigation application, maximum area can be irrigated, maximum net income, production and water productivity.

Abstract

Modeling of Practical Teaching System for Pico Hydro Hydroelectric Power Plant with Open Flume TC 60 "Turbine Propeller Type is a practical teaching aid made in order to increase diversity and practicum facilities for students of Agricultural Mechanization study programs in the Energy and Electricity Agriculture course. At the same time this Practical Modeling introducing various types of renewable energy (reneable energy) to the academics at the Lampung State Polytechnic, besides that, the making of this tool also has the following objectives:-   Make modeling of laboratory scale pico hydro power generation systems with Open Flume TC 60 Type Propeller Turbines.-   Here the tool that students are expected to be able to design  a pico hydro power plant.-   Increase the diversity of practicum equipment in the Agriculture Mechanization laboratory.-   Streamlining the process of teaching and learning activities in the laboratory.Thus this tool is expected to contribute to the world of education, especially for students of the Lampung State Polytechnic Mechanization of Agriculture study program. Keywords: pico hydro hydroelectric power, and reneable energy

Abstract

The Paving Block industry is one of the important industries, as a driving force for the economy of an area, one of which is in Bandar Lampung, especially in the Rajabasa district. The problem that is often faced by consumers is the low quality of the paving that is used, which is often cracked, broken and brittle so that it interferes with all the activities carried out in the paving block application in use, this is due to the quality of the materials that do not meet standards and the manufacturing process is not quite right. The objectives of this research are to test the performance of the modified molding tools and test the paving blocks produced using the tools before modification with those that have been modified. Based on the results of research conducted at the Lampung State Polytechnic in 2019 for 6 months, it shows that the compressive strength of paving block molded steel plates with a side length of 20 cm, a width of 6 cm and a height of 8 cm with a plate thickness of 5 mm can withstand existing leaks and can be used. with hydraulic molding equipment modified on the CTM machine. In the print results with a pressure of 50 kg / cm2, no leaks were found on the printing machine and at a pressure of 100 kg/cm2, the printing press was still able to withstand the leak, so it could be used as a printing tool in the modification of hydraulic molding devices on the CTM machine. Modification of paving block formers provides paving block results with class B quality according to the Indonesian National Standard Agency, 1996. Keywords: paving block, modified compressive strength, steel plates

Abstract

Welding is one way to connect two metal parts permanently by using heat power. This heat power is needed to melt the basic material to be connected and welding wire as filler material. After it has cooled and frozen, a strong and permanent bond is formed. One way that is often recommended in this industry is spot welding. Welding point in the Lampung State Polytechnic Metal and Automotive Laboratory, the operating system is done by squatting so that it is easily tired. So with that conditions this research is modified into a table spot welding by modifying the lever with a pedal.  The objectives of this research are comparing the working time of a portable spot welding machine with a table spot welding machine using the pedal system, to get the efficiency of welding work time using a table spot welding machine using the pedal system, and to reduce work fatigue. The result showed for the pedal point table welding machine, it takes 0.512 minutes for 0.8mm plates, while for 1.0mm plates it takes 0.61 minutes, while for portable welding machines it takes 1.185 seconds for 0.8 plate thickness mm and 1,314 seconds for the 1.0 mm plate. Keywords: welding, spot welding, welding wire

Abstract

Flow system engineering using box culvert had done in arterial road Soekarno Hatta section Untung Surapati-Hajimena, precisely on the Way Kandis river channel. As population growth, on the box culvert’s upstream, had frequently been flooding when it rains with high intensity. It could predict that run off discharge was increased as an impact increasing runoff coefficient due to the growth of the built area in its upstream. It indicated that the box culvert dimension is not suitable to serve runoff discharge. Therefore the evaluation is needed to assess whether the dimension of box culvert was still capable of serving the flowing runoff discharge. The existing box culvert dimension could not serve the runoff discharge in 10, 20, and 25 year return periods are 10.13 m3/s, 11.07 m3/s, dan 11,37 m3/s.It was recommended to use precast concrete (n = 0.03)and 0.015 in slope.The evaluation shown that to serve runoff discharge in 10, 20, and 25 year return period, minimum needed box culvert with dimensions are 1.9 x 1.9 (m), 2.0 x 2.0 (m), and 2.0 x 2.0 (m). Refer to it, then recommended the dimension of box culvert is 2.0 x 2.0 m. It could install more than one with an adjustment dimension if the slope were difficult to reach in the recommended dimension Keywords: river, flood, discharge, box culvert.

Abstract

To reduce air pollution containing toxicity from the otto engine of a conventional fuel system (carburetor), an internal combustion device is used called a catalytic converter. Catalityc Converter uses the function to reduce levels of Hydrocarbon (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) emissions by oxidizing and reducing these substances to CO2, H2O and N2 which are environmentally friendly. However, the price is expensive and difficult to  get it, not all motor vehicles use this technology. Because the catalyst is made of precious metals such as Palladium, Platinum and Rhodium. One of the efforts made is to make catalyst from Almunium Al material, which is easily obtained and the price is relatively cheap. This study aims to determine changes in emission levels between motor vehicles using Catalytic Converters made from aluminum plates and without using Catalytic Converters. The method used is an experimental method by comparing the results of emissions testing before passing the Catalytic Converter and after passing the Catalytic Converter. The research process begins with the design of the Catalytic Converter Chasing Design, Catalyst Manufacturing and testing that consists of testing without Catalytic Converter and with Catalytic Converter which ends with data analysis and conclusion drawing.From the test results There is a decrease. • HC gas emission have decreased quite well by showing a percentage reduction of 20,36%, compared to the absence of a catalyst. • CO gas emission have decreased very well by showing a percentage reduction of 75%, compared with no catalyst. • CO2 gas emission decreased sufficiently by showing a percentage reduction of 3,16% • O2 has increased 32,32%. Keywords: catalytic converter, almunium gas emussions
