Abstract

Polarization on social media as a remain of the presidential election contestation at 2019 is still felt its impact. The supporters of both sides are confined in an algorithmic enclave. When the cover of Tempo magazine was seen as criticizing of President Jokowi, his supporters on social media were campaigned to attack Tempo. They mobilized the masses through the hashtag #UnInstallTempo. This emotional mobilization dropped the Tempo app's rating on the Google Play Store from 4.8 (scale 1-5) to 1.1 within 3 days. The Tempo attackers sought justification from fellow supporters without listening to Tempo's arguments. Finally, this condition actually gets a place in the eyes of citizens and Indonesian policy is not impossible nuanced mobocracy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of AQUA LIFE #Bijak Plastics advertising. The ad is trying to move consumers to campaign about reducing plastic waste, by using 100% recycled plastic. By using Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis method, the writer found several meaning constructions of AQUA LIFE #BijakBerplastik with 60 seconds duration. This ad not only invites consumers to contribute to continuing the good for the earth by reducing plastic waste but also reinforces the construction of its branding strategy which is reflected in two main myths: (1) Aqua's consistency in providing services and building customer loyalty; (2) Aqua's brand personality that is pure, committed and cares for the environment.

Abstract

This paper is a reflective study of exploring the possibility of links or intersections between modern management concepts and the existence of local wisdom, in the management of companies. Modern management in this context is represented by one of the principles in Good Corporate Governance, namely the principle of fairness and local wisdom represented by pela gandong. The results of the reflection show that ontologically there is an intersection or intersection between pela gandong and the principle of fairness in GCG. The slice lies in the nature of fairness and pela gandong which turned out to be the same, namely discussing the issue of impartiality between communities, or between stakeholders in a corporation or company. The relation of the company and its social base in reality presents conflict as possible and necessary. If it is not then 'equal', the conflict can be prolonged. Essentially it can be seen how in a pela or bond, it cannot be partial because it has been bound together in a fraternal frame. While in corporations / businesses, fairness can be present in its impartial face also when dealing with shareholders who are certainly quantitatively stranded in the amount of shares they contribute to the company. Can be absorbed if finally there is an intersection between the two in the management of the company.

Abstract

Public health campaign messages are intended to influence public attitudes and behavioral beliefs about health consequences. The operational formula for creating persuasive messages is health vulnerability multiplied by severity, using a loss framework to motivate the public to change behavior for healthy living. This paper intends to analyze the persuasive message of the MR vaccine campaign and see the response that occurred in the community to the health campaign. This paper attempts to examine the process of community social assessment that results in a response of rejection and a boomerang effect on campaign messages. This paper concludes that the negative boomerang effect on the MR Vaccine campaign carried out by the Indonesian Ministry of Health is largely due to the ego involvement of key figures or opinion leaders that influence the perceptions and behavior of the audience receiving the message. Opinion leaders in this case are religious institutions such as MUI which publishes findings on the content of MR vaccine. The boomerang effect that occurs is the contrasting attitudes and behaviors of the audience of campaign message recipients who have anchor positions / principles that are opposite and far from the contents of the MR Vaccine campaign message.
