AL-FALAH: Journal of Islamic Economics is scientific journal of Islamic Economics based on both conceptual and empirical research. It concerns to extensively publish the issues of islamic economics which study through interdiscipline perspectives such as fiqh, shariah finance, islamic bank, islamic development economics, and also economic sociology. The journal is published by Curup State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), Bengkulu, Indonesia. Published twice in a year, on June and December, the journal of Al-Falah is projected as a media, sphere, and dessemination of scholars studies on islamic economics issues. Therefore, Al-Falah invites all of participants, scholars, researchers, and Muslim economists to submit their best-papers, and publish it in Al-Falah: Journal of Islamic Economics.

Abstract

Purpose: Madura is an island located in East Java which has a community with a high level of religiosity. Sumenep is one of the districts in Madura which has the largest population level among other districts in Madura. However, this is not in line with public compliance in paying zakat maal. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether religiosity, literacy, income, and tax obligation have an effect on community compliance to pay zakat maal.Design/Method/Approach: The data obtained in this study uses primary data obtained from people who pay taxes, using purposive sampling technique by determining people who have reached nisab, and for the analysis, it uses multiple regression.Findings: it shows that only religiosity and tax payment obligations which have an influence, while literacy and income do not have an effect on compliance to pay zakat maal. The implication of this research is as an evaluation for the local government to socialize the important role of the impact of zakat maal on the community, and to increase public understanding of the obligation to pay zakat maal.Originality/Novelty: Lots ofresearchesexamine the obligation to pay zakat fitrah but it is very rare to find research on zakat maal which is an obligation that must also be paid by someone who has assets that have reached Nisab (the minimum amount that a Muslim must have before being obliged to zakat).

Abstract

Purpose: Purpose of this paper to analyze relation between internal factorsconsist of CAR, ROA, ROE, NPF, BOPO and external factors consist of Inflation, Interest rate, exchange rate that influence Islamic Rural Bank financing to Small Medium Enterprises.Design/Method/Approach: This paper use financing SME data from Islamic Rural Bank, internal and external factor from Islamic Rural Bank in 2010-2018. The paper use vector autoregression if stasioner in level an use vector error correction model of stasioner and cointegration in first difference. Use IRF and VD analysis to predict in the future.Findings: Results indicate that inflation, interest rate, NPF and BOPO have long term effect in SME financing an in short term only NPF influencing in SME financing.Originality/Values: Islamic finance industry one of industry that very important, this paper adds to understand Islamic finance industry which has received limited attention. Novelty in this paper use SME financing in Islamic rural bank, inflation, exchange rate, interest rate.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the influence of Islamic financial literacy and Islamic financial technology on the inclusion of Islamic finance in students in Lampung Province both partially and simultaneously.Design Methods:The method used is a survey method. The population of this study is all smester V students and above in Islamic Economics Study Program, Islamic Banking. and sharia accounting in all State and Private Universities in Lampung Province, totaling 3080 people. The sampling technique used is proportional grain sampling, as much as 10% of the population of 308 people. Data collected using surveys, with google form. The collected data were analyzed using simple and multiple regression analysis.Findings:Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded, first, there is a positive and significant influence between the literacy of Islamic finance on Islamic financial inclusion. Second, there is a positive and significant influence between Islamic financial technology on Islamic financial inclusion. Third, there is a positive and significant influence between Islamic financial literacy and Islamic financial technology together on Islamic financial inclusion.Originality Value: Of the two independent variables, sharia financial literacy variables contributed more than sharia financial technology variables to sharia financial inclusion.

Abstract

Objective: This article aims to examine the scope of the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in Sharia banking as well as orientation that sharia banking should do in the 5.0 Society era.Design/approach: This writing uses a qualitative descriptive approach.Findings: In general, this article succeeded in formulate the form or orientation of Corporate Social Responsibility that should be implemented by sharia banking, more promoting community service that is minimal covering 6 dimensions, namely community settlements, energy, prevention/disaster mitigation, health, food and logistics.Originality/value: This paper is believed to be important and significant especially in an increasingly advanced age. With the emergence of the Society 5.0 is expected to synergize with Sharia banking CSR program to accelerate and provide effectiveness on the social responsibility of sharia banking that is perceived by the community, as well as the input for Sharia banking institutions so that the CSR program should be oriented to the acceleration of social welfare, to provide facilities to the community as a capital to face the global challenge.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the management of Zakat Maal in the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palembang City and to determine the management of Zakat Maal l distribution in the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palembang City, and to find out the factors that are supporting and inhibiting the management of Zakat Maal in National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in Palembang City. Design/Method/Approach: This type of research uses field research. Qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study by descriptive methods such as data collection and then classified into data.Findings: The result of the research is that the management of Zakat mal l collection has just been socialized so that muzakki has not been too much even though the potential for muzakki is quite large. The absence of regulations related to the collection of Zakat maal to the public. The obstacles faced by the Palembang City National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in the form of lack of human resources both in the field of collection and distribution and utilization, and less proactive and lack of transparency so that the interest of muzakki paying Zakat Maal at the National Amil Zakat (BAZNAS) of Palembang City is less interested in paying Zakat Maal l.Originality/Values: Provide information to the public on how to the management of Zakat Maal in the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palembang City

Abstract

Objective: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi nilai-nilai spiritual Islam dalam berwirausaha pada Mitra PLUT KUMKM DIY Design/Method/ approach: This study uses a qualitative method, a naturalistic research with a phenomenological approach. The data used are primary data collected through direct interviews. Determining the sources using purposive sampling technique. The interview guidelines used were semi-structured interviews. Data analysis techniques, namely the stage of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. This method is used in order to determine the implementation of Islamic spiritual values in entrepreneurship in PLUT KUMKM Partners in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.Findings: The results of this studynamely first doing business to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT, Partners of PLUT KUMKM DIY have implemented this, entrepreneurship for worship and become a way of sustenance. Second, think positively, Partners of PLUT KUMKM DIY have a positive way of thinking in dealing with entrepreneurial failures. Third, oriented to the afterlife, Mitra PLUT KUMKM DIY tries to be afterward-oriented in entrepreneurship. Fourth, charity ma'ruf nahi munkar, in this case the implementation of PLUT KUMKM Partners is still lacking because they prefer to remain silent if there is no direct relationship with him.Originality/Value: This research is expected to providean illustration for PLUT KUMKM DIY in determining the direction of MSME assistance policies by applying Islamic spirituality values in entrepreneurship.
