Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based on environmental phenomena across all science subjects at SMP Tahfidz Duta Aswaja Kudus. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate differences in CTL steps between theory and classroom practice. In theory, CTL steps include: invitation, linking, constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. In practice, the steps include: presentation of phenomena, constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. Furthermore, there are differences between the theoretical and practical learning materials. In theory, the materials include: classification of living things, interactions of living things with the environment, environmental pollution, substances and their changes, energy and its transformations, force and motion, pressure, vibrations, waves and sound, human organ systems, electricity and magnetism, electromagnetism, the solar system, and biodiversity and environmental conservation. In practice, CTL is also applied to materials such as biotic and abiotic components, ecosystems, and Newton's laws. During CTL implementation, teachers face several challenges, including limited time, students’ lack of self-confidence, and teacher dominance in some lesson sessions. Nevertheless, students show positive responses, find it easier to understand the material, and actively participate in discussions and observations of phenomena. Overall, the contextual approach proves effective in creating meaningful learning and supporting the development of 21st-century skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of implementing the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on Indonesian writing competence in fifth-grade students at SDN 04 Ngeling Jepara, who previously demonstrated low proficiency. This study adopts a pre-experimental approach with a One-Group Pre-test – Post-test design. The research participants include the entire fifth-grade population of 29 students, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data on writing ability were obtained through pre- and post-tests, which were then statistically analysed using a paired t-test. The analysis results showed substantial progress, with the average writing ability score increasing from 49.3 in the pre-test to 82.5 in the post-test. The t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p 0.05), confirming the strong impact of the intervention. The effectiveness level of this model was categorised as moderate, with an N-Gain score of 0.67. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the NHT model significantly and effectively contributed to the improvement of students' writing skills.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology in this era of globalization makes it necessary to instill the values of Pancasila. This study aims to develop an interactive storybook learning media, measure the feasibility and practicality of the media, as well as assess students' understanding of Pancasila values. The research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method with the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study was conducted in the fifth grade at SDN Karangkebagusan. Data collection techniques included interviews, needs analysis, validation by media and material experts, responses from teachers and students, and tests. The research instruments consisted of a needs analysis questionnaire, media and material expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and test questions. The results show that the development of the interactive storybook media is feasible to use, with media validation showing an average percentage score of 94%, and material validation obtaining an average percentage score of 90%, both categorized as very feasible. Teacher responses to this media reached an average percentage score of 96%, while student responses reached 93%. The students' understanding, measured through the administered test, achieved an average score of 80, with the highest score of 90 and the lowest score of 75. This indicates that the use of the Interactive Storybook media can help students understand the values of Pancasila in a more interactive and engaging way.

Abstract

The coordination system is the control center of our body. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of grade IX students in the human coordination system material at SMPN 1 Terbuka Bojonggede after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with data collection techniques in the form of observation and written tests, pre-tests and postes. The results of the study show that by applying the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, it can improve students' learning outcomes and understanding of abstract concepts such as neural structure and physiological processes in the human coordination system. This is proven in the first cycle, only 72% of grade IX students of SMPN 1 Terbuka Bojonggede achieved learning completion. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, the completeness of student learning managed to increase to 100%. The project-based learning model is a model that is based on the real life of students. This model is able to improve thinking skills and improve skills and knowledge so that the application of the project-based learning model can optimize student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Among an attempt to lessen verbally hostile behavior among junior high school pupils, this study intends to create a manual for group supervision that uses sociodrama approaches. One of the issues that interferes with students' social interactions and learning process is verbally abusive behavior. For group guidance services to address this issue, guidance and counseling teachers require efficient and organized media. In order to reduce verbally aggressive behavior in junior high school students, research and development (RD) with a procedural development model is employed. This model adapts the strategy from Borg and Gall and includes the following steps: (1) preliminary study and data collection, (2) planning, (3) initial product development, (4) product testing, and (5) sociodrama guide. The created product was tested on students and verified by media specialists, material specialists, and potential users (counselors). The total product development is in the good category, according to the findings of the material specialists. The media specialists' findings are classified as extremely good. The outcomes of potential consumers are in the very good range. Additionally, the small group test's findings are classified as very good. These findings suggest that the product development can serve as a guide for using sociodrama to help junior high school students behave less aggressively when speaking.

Abstract

This study aims to elucidate how principals can enhance the quality of education at SDIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru via strategic planning. This study employs a qualitative approach to elucidate the behaviors of informants in the context of educational planning aimed at enhancing the quality of education. Data was collected through interviews, documentation, and observations. This study recommends obtaining data from the principal, vice principal, and teachers as the primary sources. The search commenced with snowball sampling initiated by the principal, subsequently followed by the teacher responsible for instructing the students. Secondary data sources were derived from field-collected information, including notes and documents pertinent to the study; this phenomenon is referred to as data saturation, indicating that the data exhibits uniformity. The data collection process, specifically reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, was conducted concurrently with data analysis in this study. The study's findings reveal that the principal employs several strategies to enhance educational quality at SDIT Future Islamic School, including: (1) Establishing a clear and measurable Vision, Mission, and Objectives, (2) Developing a curriculum aligned with Islamic educational principles encompassing academic, religious, and character dimensions, (3) Training and Developing Educators, (4) Enhancing facilities and infrastructure, (5) Implementing Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation, (6) Fostering Partnerships with Parents and the Community, and (7) Advancing Academic and Non-Academic Achievements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze ChatGPT usage behavior in the context of learning using B.F. Skinner's operant conditioning theory and information systems theory on technology adoption. The main focus is to understand how AI literacy affects users' perceptions of ChatGPT responses and their intention to use it, as well as how the quality of ChatGPT responses plays a role in shaping learning behavior when using AI applications as tools. The type of research used is quantitative. Data processing uses Partial Least Square (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and data is collected through online questionnaires. This study involved 82 student respondents and was analyzed using SmartPLS through three stages: (1) testing the validity and reliability of the instruments, (2) testing the relationship between variables in the structural model, and (3) testing multiple groups (MGA) to compare respondent groups based on the frequency of ChatGPT use per day. The analysis results show that the AI Literacy variable has a significant effect on ChatGPT Response Perception, as does ChatGPT Response Perception on ChatGPT Usage Intention, while the effect of AI Literacy on ChatGPT Usage Intention shows a positive but weak result. When an in-depth analysis was conducted, it was found that the results of grouping respondents based on the frequency of ChatGPT usage showed that low users (1-2 times a day) had negative values, while the medium (3-5) and high (above 5) frequency groups had positive results. The findings of this study indicate that based on operant conditioning theory and technology adoption, the role of AI literacy and the reinforcement of response perception in achieving the intention to use technology in the learning process is very important.

Abstract

This study examines initiatives to close the gap between graduates of agricultural vocational education's academic proficiency and their preparedness for the workforce based on graduate users' standards, specifically those of the industrial sector. This study looks at the competency accomplishments of graduates in agriculture education during the fourth industrial revolution, a time when the global labor market is competitive and full of obstacles. We start this conversation by gathering information from foreign periodicals and literature sources. A qualitative narrative analysis that incorporates a coding system, critical review, and a conclusion that satisfies the findings' validity and reliability principles. Google Docs, Google Scholar, and Eric journals with a range of publications from 2015 to 2025 were used. We looked at evaluation methods and learning tactics and procedures, discovered that the majority of studies on the academic proficiency of graduates of agricultural vocational education fall short in terms of practical field competences, which are necessary to achieve industry and business work-readiness norms, promote cooperation between agricultural vocational education institutions and the agricultural industry/business world, which employs graduates, proposes methods and solutions. Most publications promote the inclusion of the skills and work competencies required of graduates in the curriculum as a guide for designing learning outcomes, learning models, and methodologies. Students can put their practical knowledge and skills to the agricultural sector, businesses and academic institutions collaborate to plan, implement, and evaluate partnerships. The results will greatly enhance the cooperation between agricultural educational establishments and the commercial and industrial sectors that hire agricultural graduates.

Abstract

The ease of access to Generative AI in education presents a paradox: it accelerates information retrieval but risks triggering cognitive offloading, which weakens Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). In order to restore student learning autonomy, this study will examine recent research on the possible incorporation of the Socratic Questioning approach into AI systems. 23 chosen papers (2020–2025) from the Scopus and SINTA databases are subjected to a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) procedure utilizing the PRISMA protocol. Thematic analysis results indicate that standard AI configurations tend to reduce metacognitive abilities. Conversely, intelligent agents based on Socratic logic are proven effective in stimulating critical reasoning, yet their implementation is dominated by complex web platforms. A significant gap exists regarding the adaptability of this method on low-resource platforms like WhatsApp, which are more inclusive. In order to democratize access to adaptive virtual tutors, the study's conclusion suggests creating a hybrid architecture that connects Socratic pedagogical intelligence with instant messaging accessibility.
