Abstract

This study aims to discover the effectiveness of the application of the scientific approach of Discovery Learning model in an effort to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of first grade students of PPKn lesson at SD Negeri 3 Cakranegara. The benefits of this research are to encourage learners to develop group learning skills (cognitive) and to socialize with friends in the actual learning process in the classroom. For teachers, it is to improve the development of approaches and models of learning with the application of scientific Discovery learning model in group work (cooperative). This research was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle activity consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The final result of action in cycle II showed that the results of teacher observation at the second meeting got the average score (4.29) and the result of the observation of the participants in the second meeting reached the average score (4.13). The impact of the increase in learning motivation was the increase of Learners learning achievement reached the average value (81,43), meaning that indicator of success (>4.0) and result of learning (>75,00) had been exceeded. Because indicator the success has been proven that the research is successful and stopped in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the application of PAIKEM Based Reading Model Guide in an effort to increase the students learning activity of Hinduism Class VI of SD Negeri 3 Cakranegara. The benefit of this research is as references in the implementation of the learning process in the real class. For teachers, the result of the study is to improve competence in the learning process and for students it is to improve learning motivation that impacts students learning outcomes. This research was conducted in two cycles; each cycle activity used planning, action, observation and reflection. The final result of action in cycle II showed that the teacher observation result got average score (4,43) and the result of students observation reached average score (4,22). Meanwhile, the result of the increase of students’ learning activity wasreflected in the increase of the students learning achievement reaching the average value (77,25). It meant the success indicator of learning (> 75,00) had been exceeded. Thus, because the success indicator has been proven that the research is categorized successful and stopped in cycle II.

Abstract

Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (henceforth Kemenristek Dikti RI) through the Science and Technology for Community program (henceforth IbM) as one of the community services schemes, has been implemented in SLBN (Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri) Pembina West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) and SLBA (Tuna Netra) Selagalas Mataram. The program having aims are as follows: (1) Implement the application of Letter and Number recognition for the visionless child; (2) Facilitate students for the letter and number Braille recognition in SLB; (3) Support the teacher/mentor in teaching activity during the students learning, since the smart system application is for independent learning; (4) Assist the government program in education sector for the basic needs of child with regardless status. The implementation method in the application was the system Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the method in developing application system was the Mallon’s Model. The application has been implemented through the short course of trial training for students and teacher/mentor in both institutions SLBN Pembina NTB Province and SLBA Tuna Netra Selagalas Mataram

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using collocation to improve students’ English vocabulary breadth of Akpar Mataram hospitality students. Researcher take 50 students as sample. This study used a quasi-experimental research model with one group pre-test and post-test research design. Based on the result of the t-test paired sample test which calculated with SPSS, it was obtained that the result showed the sig. value (2-tailed) was 0.000 with 5% probability. The sig. value is smaller than 0.005. So it can be said that there is an effect of using collocation to improve students’ vocabulary of AKPAR Mataram.
