Abstract

This study aims to find a model for the application of character education for reading fondness through literacy programs. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and students at SD Negeri Sidareja 01 Cilacap. In collecting data, researchers used instruments in the form of interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and document analysis guidelines. The data analysis technique used is the interactive data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that character education for reading fondness through the School Literacy Program at SD Negeri Sidareja 01 was carried out through: 1) The habituation phase which includes reading habit for 10-15 minutes and other activities that can build literacy culture and literacy-friendly physical environment conditioning. 2) The development phase which includes the development of literacy skills through various non-academic activities as well as the promotion of the social and affective environment as a model of literate communication and interaction. 3) The learning phase which includes the implementation of learning using a variety of literacy strategies and making schools a literate academic environment through professional development.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of media game android based education on transformation material. This research uses research and development (methodsR&D). with model procedure Four D (4-D). This research was conducted at one of the state junior high schools in Bengkalis Regency. The data collection technique was in the form of a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique was analyzed by transforming the average scale into qualitative sentences. Research.This results indesign in game adventure educational trans go an android-based accordance with the analysis of the needs and problems encountered at school. The results of the feasibility study show the validity of 86% with very valid criteria. In conclusion, products game android based education on transformation material are feasible and can be implemented in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the popular types of academic dishonesty, teachers' supervision, and the factors which motivate students to cheat. This research used the descriptive quantitative method with 260 students as respondents from 4 schools. Questionnaires were given online to the students. The data analysis technique used statistic descriptive. The result showed that the popular types of academic dishonesty among the students were asking their friends, carrying small notes, searching the answer on the web via cell phones, carrying textbooks, and etcetera. The teachers’ or supervisors’ supervision was good, but there were times when they were careless so that the students used the opportunity to cheat. During online examination supervision, the students stated that there was no particular supervision; therefore they took the advantage of this opportunity. The driving factors which caused the students to cheat were they considered the questions were too difficult; they did not have confidence in their own answers or abilities; they did not study; they had an opportunity to cheat; they wanted good grades, and they had some unanswered questions but the time was almost over.

Abstract

This reseach was conducted with the aim of seeking a information about the implementation of BOS and to obtain a gap in the implementation of BOS at the BM Salatiga Christian Vocational School in improving the quality of education. This study uses an evaluation model, namely the evaluation of gap in the implementation of a program. The subjects in this study were the principal, BOS treasurers, parents and students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation and later analyzed using the Miles and Hubermen model which included data reduction, presentation and then drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is still a gap between the implementation and the BOS standards at BM Salatiga Christian Vocational School. At the design stage, the implementation of BOS is in accordance with the BOS 2020 Technical Guidelines. At the installation stage there are still gaps, including when there is an urgent expenditure and while the expenditure must be based on the SPJ. At the stage of the process, There were also gaps, including the delay in disbursement of fuds, where BOS was the main source in implementing learning in schools so that it could be concluded that there was still a gap between the implementation of BOS and the Technical Guidelines.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of physics teaching materials for high school energy sources based on the perspective of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all materials in physics teaching materials for class XII in Pemalang Regency with samples of energy sources in 5 class XII teaching materials used by teachers in Pemalang Regency. The research instrument was in the form of a text / unit check list analysis based on the ESD indicator to obtain data.The results of the study found that the teaching materials used represented the ESD theme with an average appearance proportion of 21.56%, for the socio-cultural aspects of 8.05%, for environmental aspects 7.53% and 5.98% for economic aspects. From the results of research based on requests to develop ESD-based teaching materials on energy sources.

Abstract

This study aims to shed some light on the significant impact of content videos in flipped learning classroom on students’ higher order thinking skills. The secondary aim of this study is to portray students’ perception toward the practice of flipped learning in assisting their higher order thinking skill development. A total of 36 elementary teacher education students at IAIN Surakarta are involved as participants in this pre-experimental study. Drawing on pre-test, post-test, and focus group discussion, the results of paired sample t-test show a significant difference on the students’ score of pre-test and post-test, meaning that flipped learning with content videos is effective to enhance the students’ higher order thinking skills. Furthermore, the focus group discussion reveals that the students positively perceive the practice of flipped learning instruction to enhance their higher order thinking skills. These results contribute to providing fruitful insights for teachers and school administrators as a teaching model to enhance students’ higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop alignment learning media on pulleys and couplings using laser light methods and dial indicators in alignment practice courses. This research method used research and development (R&D). The subjects of this study were 16 third semester students. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used in this research was statistical analysis with t-test. The results of this study indicate that the media expert's validity test scores 4 and this shows that the learning media is made attractive and effective in its use, the results of the pre-test and post-test scores, namely that there is an increase in student scores from an average value of 48.5 to 79.6. or if in percentage there is an increase of 63.9% of all student grades. The test results using SPSS where the mean value of the post test was 79.69> of the pre test was 48.75, while in the paired sample correlations the value was Sign. 0.000 <than 0.05, it can be said that there is a relationship between the Pre Test variable with the Post Test and Paired Samples Test variables of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

This study aimed to examined the value of environmental education in the novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection method used the documentary method using reading and note-taking technique. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study indicated that novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi contained the value of environmental education, namely establishing a harmonious relationship between humans and nature by maintaining and caring for nature as well as possible. So that human wisdom and prudence will be created in responding to all natural wealth with everything in it for the sake of human survival in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the novel Genduk Duku to find a position as a subject or object that experiences gender injustice and its relevance to gender-based literacy learning in high school. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative-critical linguistic method. The data techniques used were documentation, read, and record techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Sara Mills critical model analysis assisted by Mansour Fakih's theory of gender injustice with procedures, data reports, data classification, and data analysis. The results of the study found that the female characters in the novel, both the main character, Genduk Duku, and the supporting characters, Putri Arumardi and Tejarukmi, each took turns as actors who tell stories or who are told, all experience a form of gender, in terms of (a) marginalization, (b) subordination, (c) stereotyping, (d) verbal violence, (e) double burden in terms of women who work in the public sector and the domestic sector. This study can be integrated with gender-based literary literacy learning in high schools in terms of presenting a description of discourse that displays the practice of gender injustice and critical attitudes that students must take to change the practice of gender injustice.

Abstract

The research was carried out to know the role played by teacher assistants in inclusive schools. The research method used for this study is a systematic review by capturing articles related to the research topic published between 2009-2019 through the electronic search engine Taylor and Francis Online. The initial search found 24 articles and then selected based on exclusive criteria, in which there were ten articles identified using thematic data analysis techniques. The results found that role of a teacher assistant is role pedagogic and non-pedagogic. Pedagogic roles include learning, giving assignments, helping students complete assignments, performing assignments, making IEP (individualized educational program), assessing and managing student behavior while non-pedagogic roles include emotional support, consulting, facilitating teachers, students, and parents. The results also show the importance of teacher assistants having competencies according to their educational background and building collaborative learning between classroom teachers and teacher assistants in the classroom. Limitations and recommendations for future research are discussed in this paper.
