Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between healthcare service capacity and referral rates at Puskesmas within BPJS Kesehatan Mataram Branch in 2024. This study used a correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. This design aims to evaluate the relationship between the service capabilities of health centers and referral rates at a certain time. The results of the study showed that Puskesmas with inpatient services tend to have safer referral rates compared to non-inpatient Puskesmas. Non-inpatient Puskesmas often refer more cases due to their limited capacity to manage complex cases at the primary level. The results emphasize the need for increased resources and medical training, especially in non-inpatient Puskesmas, to reduce unnecessary referrals to higher-level hospitals. Strengthening service capacity at Puskesmas is essential to ensure effective primary care and reduce the burden on referral hospitals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multicollinearity of environmental variables in the Bakongan-Bengkung Forest, part of the Leuser Ecosystem, to understand its implications for the habitat of key species such as Sumatran elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Sumatran tigers, and Sumatran orangutans. The research was conducted in August 2023 across an area of 75.912,46 hectares spanning three districts in Aceh. The data utilized includes elevation, slope, river density estimation, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), distance from roads, and annual rainfall, sourced from various geospatial datasets. Data processing was performed using ArcGIS 10.3, Google Earth Engine (GEE), and RStudio 4.2.2. Multicollinearity testing was carried out using Pearson correlation coefficients to identify relationships between environmental variables. The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between elevation and annual rainfall, with a correlation coefficient of 0,724, indicating a strong linear relationship. This correlation suggests that higher elevations in the area are associated with increased rainfall, likely due to orographic effects. These findings are crucial for conservation planning and habitat management for wildlife. The correlation between elevation and annual rainfall should be considered when developing accurate habitat models for key species in the Bakongan-Bengkung Forest, to ensure effective and sustainable conservation strategies.

Abstract

Pteridophyta is a pioneer plant that has an important role because it can provide benefits for human life and the environment. Pteridophyta can maintain the balance of the forest ecosystem, namely regulating water levels, helping the weathering process of forest litter, and as a soil cover in the forest, thereby preventing erosion. The distribution of Pteridophyta plant populations is influenced by several factors including humidity, light, and sufficient water sources. This study uses a descriptive exploratory method which aims to determine the types of Pteridophyta and obtain the diversity index value of Pteridophyta species in Tahura (Taman Hutan Raya) Nuraksa, West Lombok Regency. Pteridophyta sampling used the quadratic method by making plot arranged in a zigzag with a size 5m x 5m. The results showed that the number of Pteridophyta found was 18 species, 12 genera, and 8 families (Athyriaceae, Denstaedtiaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Lomariopsis, Polypodiaceae, Pteridaceae, Tectariaceae, and Thelyptheridaceae. Analysis of Pteridophyta species diversity index using the Shannon-Wiener formula and obtained a species diversity index value (H') for all species of 2.209, with a medium species diversity category. The value of this diversity index shows the amount of variation in species and growth of Pteridophyta in accordance with environmental conditions in Tahura Nuraksa.

Abstract

Tempeh is an affordable source of plant-based protein for the community. The fortification of tempeh with coriander (Coriandrum sativum), garlic (Allium sativum), and cardamom (Amomum cardamomum) is important to study because these three spices contain bioactive compounds that potentially increase the protein content and nutritional value of tempeh. This research is necessary to scientifically examine the effect of spice fortification on tempeh protein levels as an effort to develop functional food. The testing method used in this study was the Kjeldahl method referring to SNI 01-2891-1992. Tempeh fortification with coriander showed the most significant increase in protein content, reaching 7.03%, compared to tempeh without spices, garlic, and cardamom, which only increased protein content to 2.74%, 2.92%, and 3.94%, respectively. This is due to the high protein content in coriander, approximately 17-20% per 100 grams of material, which significantly enriches the protein content of tempeh. In contrast, garlic and cardamom have lower protein content, around 6-7% and 9-11% per 100 grams of material, making their contribution to increasing tempeh protein content less significant. This research demonstrates that the use of coriander as a fortification ingredient can be an effective strategy to enhance the nutritional value and protein content of tempeh, making it a more functional and nutritious choice for consumers.
