Abstract

The study aimed to describe the implementation of scaffolding game media to improve learning outcomes of thematic learning in VI-grade at SDN 27 Pontianak (Pontianak 27 State Elementary School). The research method used by researchers was descriptive. The form of research was Classroom Action Research. Data collection techniques in this study were observed and questionnaire responses of students. Research collection tools in the form of observation sheets. This research was conducted for two cycles. The results of this study included the ability of teachers to plan learning using scaffolding game media, namely cycle I (85.81%), increased 9.94% in cycle II (95.75%) with an average value of 87.41% (category very good). The ability of teachers to implement learning in the first cycle (76.19%) increased by 16.27%, and the second cycle to 92.46% with an average value of both cycles of 92.46% (very good category), an increase of 16, 27%. The first cycle learning activities with an average of 76.45% increased by 14.84% in the second cycle with an average value of 89.07%, the average score of the second cycle learning activities 81.65% (once category) and the questionnaire response positive students as much as 85.93% (very good category). The first cycle learning outcomes test with an average value was 76.45, and the second cycle was 79.48%, the average value of the learning outcomes test was 77.97% (good category), and an increase of 30.3%. Based on data analysis of student learning outcomes, shows that the use of Scaffolding Game media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning process should activate students by looking at their initial abilities so that the learning that is carried out becomes meaningful. Learning by using a problem-based contextual approach is one of the ways that can be applied so that the learning process not only emphasizes conceptual understanding but also in the problem-solving process. This research was a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The formulation of the problem in this study was "How is the application of problem-based contextual approaches in learning science about living things and their environment to improve student learning outcomes in IV grade SDN 10 Sungai Kakap?". Data analysis techniques in this study were measured from the level of success in implementing classroom actions based on changes in teaching and learning using observation sheets and anecdotal notes narratively as well as improving learning outcomes using test instruments. This classroom action research was conducted at SDN 10 Sungai Kakap on science learning using problem-based contextual approach in IV grade with 41 students. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes where the first cycle of 20 or 48.78% of students had not been completed with an average of 46.61 learning outcomes, and 21 students or 51.21% had been completed with 77.81 learning outcomes. Then in the second cycle, there was an increase in which as much as 2 or 4.87% of students had not been completed with an average learning outcome of 58 and 39 or 95.51% of students had completed with an average learning outcome of 75.86.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research (CAR) carried out to improve the learning process with the steps of planning, implement, observing, and reflecting. This research was carried out in mathematics by utilizing the media of crime tests on integer count material. The formulation of the problem in this research were: (1) Can the media of crime be able to improve mathematics learning outcomes in integer counts ?; (2) What are the learning outcomes of each cycle by utilizing the learning outcomes of students ?. The results of the study showed that the use of stikrim media in mathematics learning integer count material could improve student learning outcomes. The results of the first cycle test were obtained by six students or 60% complete, and four students or 40% incomplete. Then the results of the second cycle test showed nine students or 91% complete and three students or 10% not complete. The increase occured in students who have reached 88% of students have completed and exceeds 75% indicators of success, and it is stated that the improvement of this learning has been successful.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research that aimed to make improvements in the learning process. This research was conducted at SDN 02 Kuala Mandor B in I grade students about determining the place value using the demonstration and practice methods. The research subjects consisted of 20 students. The formulation of the problem in this study was, "Can the demonstration and practice methods improve mathematics learning outcomes, determine the scores of tens and unit places in first-grade students at SDN 02 Kuala Mandor in semester 2 of the academic year 2017/2018?". This research was conducted in 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. By using evaluations to see improved learning outcomes and using observation sheets of student and teacher activities in learning. From the results of the study show an increase in student learning outcomes in the first cycle. The class average was 42 then in the second cycle increased to 86.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The aspects observed in each cycle were the activities of students and teachers, as well as the learning process of the subject matter in fractions using a simple medium named Pipette. The subjects were 15 students. The results of the study of students' abilities in the chapter of fractions, each cycle has increased. Cycle I, the average score of students was 51.93 with a percentage of completeness 13.33%. Students who reached KKM were 2 students. Based on the result of cycle I and cycle II, the average score of 85 students with a percentage of completeness 86.67%. Students who reached KKM were 13 students. From the two cycles applied, there was an increase in the ability of students in the subject matter of fraction addition. Based on the indicators of success in the second cycle, that the applied papita media can improve the ability of students in the chapter of fraction addition in V grade students of SDN 17 Kuala Mandor B, Kubu Raya Regency.
