Community Services is an implementation activity of science, technology and cultural arts directly to the community institutionally through scientific methodology as a translation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,as well as the responsibility of scientists in efforts to develop community capacity, so as to accelerate the pace of growth in achieving development goals. So that community services can be done affectively and efficiently, it is necessary to conduct research before and after its implementation. The Scope of Community Service includes the following fields of activity: The development of technological science and art into products that can be directly utilized by the community. Training services, economic empowerment of communities to become independent, and the development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Dissemination of science, technology and cultural arts is a product that needs to be known and utilized by the community. This effort can be done through various ways such as providing counseling, providing pilots, demonstrating, and publishing media publications. Placement of science and technology correctly and appropriately according to the situation of the people and the demands of development. Providing assistance to the community in identifying problems faced and finding alternative solutions by using a scientific approach. Providing professional services to the community in various problem areas that require careful handling by using expertise and skills that are not yet owned by the community concerned.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Fisheries Products Processing, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor. The purpose of this research is to test the quality of Gracilaria sp. packed with various types of packaging during the 25oC dan 35oC temperature storage period. The method used in this research is an experimental method with 2 treatments, namely (1) packaging type factors, namely polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and aluminum foil packaging and (2) storage time factors, namely 1, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35 days. The test carried out in each treatment is the organoleptic test using the scoring test by standard panelists. The results of the organoleptic research were analyzed using the average data of the appearance, aroma, texture and taste scoring test to see the differences between treatments. The scoring test results show that the treatment of aluminum foil packaging can maintain the appearance, aroma, texture and taste parameters until the 35th day when compared with other packaging treatments.

Abstract

Efforts to encourage rural communities to have the ability and meet their own needs independently and have competitiveness can be done by empowering innovation-based communities in rural areas. With the village innovation program, it can support village development to be more effective and efficient through various innovation-based community empowerment programs to be more innovative and responsive to the needs of rural communities. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of innovation-based community empowerment programs in rural areas and the obstacles faced. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data used is sourced from journals searched through Google Scholar. The results of the review show that there are several innovation-based community empowerment programs in rural areas. Innovation-based empowerment programs have an important role for the welfare of rural communities. Recommendations that can be given are to give full attention to innovation-based empowerment programs for rural communities.

Abstract

The current condition of fishermen in Indonesia is still far from prosperous, especially small fishermen who generally have an income of less than one million/month. Fishermen are faced with constraints on the characteristics of their fishing business which depend on climate change, weather uncertainty, and sea waves, so they pose a high risk. This affects the low income of these fishermen because fishermen working hours are very dependent on the weather so if the sea waves are high or other bad weather, fishermen are forced not to go to sea. Therefore, it is necessary to protect fishermen through fisherman insurance. Currently, the government has been trying to increase the target of fish production and consumption through protection and welfare for fishermen. One of the efforts to improve fishermen's welfare is a work program that guarantees protection against risks to fishermen, fish cultivators, and salt farmers. This program targets 1 million insurance for fishermen spread across the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the government's efforts to protect fishermen and their families is through the provision of Insurance Premium Assistance for Fishermen. This effort is intended to provide guaranteed protection against risks experienced by fishermen, such as death, permanent disability, and medical costs; as well as provide awareness of insurance for fishermen. However, currently, fishermen's income is not included in the risk guarantee from the fishermen’s insurance program. Even though the income of fishermen is one of the criteria for measuring the economy of coastal communities who work as fishermen and indirectly can determine the maritime economy. Therefore, we as academics intend to conduct training and socialization of economic empowerment of fishing communities based on knowledge, skills, and potential in Cirebon Fishermen Village through Community Service programs. The material that will be provided in this Community Service activity is related to the economic empowerment of fishermen communities and community-based fisherman insurance. This material will be given to the workshop session both to the local community.

Abstract

LDR or Light Dependent Resistor is a resistor whose resistance value is influenced by the type of light received. In addition to having to be designed ON and OFF automatically and save electrical energy and human labor, the lighting of the street system is also monitored regularly, to ensure that there is no need for lights to be turned on, light sensors are needed. An example of its use is in garden lights and street lights that can turn on at night and turn off during the day automatically. Or we can also use it in our own room. This article will discuss the effect of the LDR light sensor on lamp control. Sensors are designed in conjunction with transistors. This transistor is used as a comparison of light entering the LDR sensor.
