Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health challenge requiring comprehensive community education interventions in West Java Province. Despite national efforts, stunting prevalence remains above WHO standards, with significant variations across districts. Research gap exists in understanding how community education level influences stunting outcomes alongside poverty and healthcare access from a community education perspective. This study examines relationships between poverty-related factors and stunting prevalence across 27 West Java districts/cities. A cross-sectional design using 2023 secondary data from Central Bureau of Statistics and West Java Open Data was employed. Multiple linear regression analysis using JASP software examined poverty rate, average years of schooling (community education indicator), and healthcare facility access on stunting prevalence. Classical assumption tests including normality, homoscedasticity, and multicollinearity were performed. Results revealed significant positive correlation between poverty and stunting (r=0.628, p0.001). The regression model showed poverty rate (β=0.487, p=0.003), average years of schooling (β=-0.312, p=0.021), and healthcare access (β=-0.289, p=0.035) collectively explained 64.3% of variance in stunting prevalence (R²=0.643, F=13.25, p0.001). Average years of schooling demonstrated significant protective effect, indicating that enhanced community education level reduces stunting by 1.356% per additional schooling year. Findings emphasize community education's crucial role in stunting prevention, supporting integrated programs addressing health literacy, nutritional knowledge, and parenting education alongside poverty reduction. This study contributes to understanding how non-formal and community education interventions effectively address public health challenges in Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the learning system of a private tutoring institution in Indonesia using the Input–Process–Output–Outcome (IPOO) framework. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving institutional leaders, tutors, and students. The findings reveal that the tutoring institution operates as a highly structured and standardized system supported by selective inputs, intensive instructional processes, and technology-enhanced learning. From the input perspective, student motivation, tutor quality, and centralized curriculum design play a crucial role in shaping learning effectiveness. The process dimension is characterized by performance-oriented instruction, including intensive practice, exam-focused strategies, and continuous evaluation. While these approaches contribute to measurable improvements in academic performance, they also indicate a tendency toward procedural learning rather than deep conceptual understanding.A key contribution of this study is the identification of digital mediation as a critical component that strengthens the relationship between learning processes and outcomes. In addition, student motivation functions as a moderating factor influencing engagement and learning effectiveness across all IPOO dimensions. The results further show that although the tutoring system enhances academic performance and increases access to higher education, outcomes remain influenced by external factors such as competition and individual differences. This study extends the traditional IPOO framework by proposing a more dynamic model that integrates digital and motivational dimensions. The findings highlight the need for nonformal education systems to balance performance-oriented instruction with meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

The development of the competency of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) through training programs is an important strategy in improving the quality of public services. This study aims to analyze the problems and design a curriculum update for the Public Transportation Management Technical Training at the BPSDM of West Java Province using the Tyler (2013) curriculum model which includes the formulation of objectives, selection of learning methods, preparation of materials, and evaluation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through interviews and document reviews, with informants consisting of heads of divisions, training organizers, instructors, and training participants. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study identified three main problems: (1) the training was not based on needs analysis so that the curriculum did not fully reflect the competency gaps of participants, (2) the curriculum structure still emphasized the knowledge aspect with limited learning methods and minimal practice, and (3) the evaluation only measured the cognitive aspect through pre-tests and post-tests without assessing applicative skills. The alternative curriculum design was carried out by referring to the Tyler model, including the formulation of clearer learning objectives, the preparation of materials based on the needs of participants, the application of varied learning methods, and evaluation based on learning levels through mini projects or implementation tasks. This study recommends that the resulting curriculum design can be used as a reference in organizing training, with an emphasis on analyzing specific competencies according to job groups and strengthening implementation-based evaluation to increase the relevance and usefulness of training results .

Abstract

The population is increasing, of course if it is not controlled it will become a problem in itself, with the existence of KB villages in each region being one of the efforts to reduce the population. This study aims to determine the collaboration of the pentahelix model in developing KB villages in Ciamis district. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method, the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are that the pentahelix model involves government academics, industry, community and media in a joint effort to increase the effectiveness of the kampung kb program in Padamulya village. Each stakeholder has a contribution in planning, implementing and evaluating the KB village program. Pentahelix collaboration can increase community participation, knowledge and awareness of the importance of family planning in Padamulya Village. Positive impacts can also be seen in changes in community behavior related to the use of contraceptives, awareness of clean and healthy living, close relationships within the family, improvement of the community's economy, concern for the environment, activeness of youth through PIK-R activities and others. This collaboration also ensures the integration of resources from various sectors, creating a holistic, sustainable, and sustainable development-oriented KB village program in Padamulya Village to finally get achievements at the West Java provincial level.
