Abstract

In the medical field, brain classification is an effective technique for identifying a person through his brain print based on the hidden biometrics of high specificity included in the magnetic resonance images(MRI) of the brain, as this privacy strongly contributes to the issue of verification and identification of the person. In this paper, the brain print is extracted from the MRI obtained from 50 healthy people, which were passed through several pre-processing techniques in order to be used in the classification stage through convolutional neural network model, among those pre-classification stages, data collection after extracting the influential features for each image, which was based on linear discrimination analysis (LDA). The experimental results showed the importance of using LDA for feature extraction and adoption as input for K-NN and CNN classifiers. The classifiers proved successful in the classification if the features extracted with the help of LDA were adopted. Where CNN had the ability to classify with an accuracy of 99%, 82% for K-NN. The final stage in identifying a person through a brain fingerprint relied mainly on the model's success in classifying and predicting the remaining data in the testing stage.

Abstract

The procedure of determining whether micro expressions are present is accorded a high priority in the majority of settings. This is due to the fact that despite the best attempts of the person, these expressions will always expose the genuine sentiments that are buried under the surface. The purpose of this study is to provide a novel approach to the problem of measuring sarcasm by using a fuzzy inference system. The method involves analysing a person's facial expressions to evaluate the degree to which they are taking pleasure in something. It is feasible to distinguish five separate areas of a person's face, and precise active distances may be determined from the outline points of each of these regions. This category includes the brows on both sides of the face, as well as the eyes and lips. In order to arrive at a representation of an individual's degree of happiness while working within the parameters of the fuzzy inference system that has been provided, membership functions are first applied to computed distances. After that, the findings from the membership functions are put to use in yet another membership function so that an estimate of the sarcasm percentage may be derived from them. The suggested method is validated by using photos of human faces taken from the SMIC, SAMM, and CAS(ME) 2 datasets, which are the industry standards. This helps to guarantee that the method is effective.

Abstract

Biocompatible implants are often proposed to improve osseointegration such as metal, polymer, and ceramic to increase bone growth. This study aimed to create a new interface to enhance osseointegration. This interface is between the polymeric part and bone tissue. In this work coat PEEK (polyether ether ketone) plastic material coated with an active biocompatible material (hydroxyapatite). Regarding biocompatibility, coated PEEK was implanted inside the specimen in rabbit bone, the specimens were X-rayed after a period, and a histological investigation was performed after the samples were extracted from the test animals. X-ray and histological examination results indicate increased bone formation in the HA-coated implant compared with the non-coated HA implant.

Abstract

In digital image processing and computer vision, segmentation operation for an image refers to dividing an image into multiple image segments, and the significant purpose of segmentation operation is to depict an image in a way so that the analysis process of the objects of interest is easier and more accurate. The region-based segmentation scheme act for finding similarities between adjacent pixels to detect each region that constructs the image. Similarity scales have based on different features, in a grayscale image, the scale may be referred to as textures and other spatial appearances, and also the variance in intensity of a region and so on. Significantly, many applications in different fields involved region-based segmentation for instance remote sensing, medical application, and others for recognizing interesting objects in an image. In this paper, two techniques for segmentation operation in region-based which are region growing and watershed are reviewed.

Abstract

The world is developing at an amazing speed through modern technologies to control things and microcontrollers have become a preoccupation of most developers of remote and proximity control devices in various industrial, household, and educational sectors, so it is necessary to study them in-depth and know the differences between Arduino and Raspberry in terms of hardware and software so that the developer is aware of what they can use it to build his project. Both Arduino and Raspberry are microcontrollers, but the first works without the need to connect to a computer, and works through an open source program as it is a single board and deals with a simple program every time and can connect to the Internet, while Raspberry connects to a computer via USB It deals with the language of Linux and Ruby and can perform mathematical and arithmetic operations and encrypt Bitcoin currencies, for these reasons, all these concepts will be explained in this paper, and that any technician or programmer can choose the best electronic parts Arduino or Raspberry in order to get the project done better.

Abstract

To make the image easily represented for more analysis and processing the segmentation procedure is required, where the image is portioned into its formed regions using some segmentation techniques based on features extraction. In this paper, a proposed procedure for finding the regions that formed the image is achieved based on hybrid features in two different components of different two colors spaces L*a*b* and RGB segmented by the k-means method. The hybrid features which comprise the mask segmentation are a combination of texture image characterization extracted by the Gabor filter and gradient image intensity by the Sobel operator after image quality enhancement by applying wiener filter noise reduction and contrast enhancement using Contrast limited adaptive equalization (CLAHE). Some statistical metrics are used for evaluating the performance of the proposed work stages.

Abstract

GPS provides precise position and control data anywhere on the planet and in any weather condition. GPS was originally intended for military usage, but in the 1980s, the US Department of Defense made it available for civilian use. The scientific applications of GPS in the military, community, and commercial sectors are expanding on a regular basis. Agriculture, construction, mining, measurement, package delivery, and logistical supply chain management all benefit from GPS technology. Precision GPS time synchronization is critical for big networks, navigation, finance systems, financial markets, and power grids. Wireless services are impossible to imagine without them. In this paper, we will go over the key aspects of GPS technology as well as a discussion of the systems that use it.

Abstract

Image processing and artificial intelligence have come so far in the age of technology that they are now used in every field. AI is meant to help people do their jobs better and with less help. Virtual painting is a clever tool that lets us paint by just moving our hands. This app uses hand tracing and finger movement recording to show marks. With this program, we can open the camera on our computer or laptop and draw with our hands, colored pens, or pens we made ourselves. Image processing is used to figure out how the hand is moving. This turns the person in front of the camera into a great illustrator who can pick out colors and draw in similar directions on the screen. OpenCV, which is the brain of the system, and Media Pipe have been added to this application.

Abstract

Human activities refer to the actions and behaviors of human beings. These activities can be physical, such as working, playing sports, or playing sports; or mentally, such as learning, problem-solving, or decision-making. Technical development and the emergence of mobile devices such as phones and smart watches, as well as wearable sensors, led to the emergence of many systems to recognize and classify human activities. These systems were developed using the data collected by these devices from a variety of individuals who volunteered to do several activities, such as downstairs, upstairs, sitting, running, standing, and more. Using the WISDM (Wireless Sensor Data Mining) dataset, a new machine learning model is proposed to recognize six different human activities: walking, jogging, going up stairs, going down stairs, sitting, and standing. For signal segmentation, the sliding window technique was used, along with two visibility graph techniques for feature extraction: mean degree and Jaccard coefficient. The Least-Squares Support Vector Machines (LS-SVM) used to classify these activities This model achieves 94% accuracy, demonstrating that the proposed model has a high classification rate.

Abstract

Infectious illnesses are more prevalent and harmful in older adults because to functional, demographic, and immunological changes brought on by aging. Treatment for these disorders is complicated by aging organ systems. Given that many seniors have multiple illnesses and take multiple medications, antimicrobial therapy for them should be carefully chosen to prevent drug interactions and other issues. Thus, it is important to keep an eye on the health of elderly people. In this research, we tracked elderly patients using a clever technique. The device includes a microprocessor, temperature sensor, pulse sensor, LCD display, and GSM module. The temperature and pulse of the elderly are shown on an LCD monitor. The system may notify emergency services if the pulse and temperature data go over the permitted limitations. The method was successfully tested on a large number of elderly persons.
