Abstract

This study examines the role of strategic organizational communication in fostering synergy between parent and subsidiary companies post-acquisition, using PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and PT Bank Hibank Indonesia (hibank) as a case study. As digital banking services for MSMEs expand, effective internal and external communication becomes crucial in mergers and acquisitions. While prior studies focus on structural integration, this research highlights the strategic role of communication by applying the ADKAR model for change management and Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) for branding strategies. Through a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and secondary data analysis, key communication challenges and strategies are identified. Findings indicate that both formal and informal communication are critical for integration, yet internal communication gaps create uncertainty among employees. The ADKAR model reveals the need for stronger awareness, desire, and reinforcement efforts to enhance adaptation. Externally, IMC strategies support brand identity, but inconsistencies in hibank’s affiliation with BNI weaken public perception. Transparent and participatory internal communication improves employee engagement, while refined external communication ensures brand consistency. Future research should quantify communication effectiveness in M&A contexts to strengthen corporate synergy.

Abstract

This study examines the ancestral heritage in traditional medicine practices among coastal communities in Indonesia through a literature review approach. Rooted in local knowledge and spiritual beliefs passed down through generations, these practices involve the use of natural resources, particularly medicinal plants, alongside rituals and prayers that balance the spiritual and physical realms. Using a literature review method, this study identifies, analyzes, and synthesizes relevant research to gain a deeper understanding of traditional medicine, with data sourced from leading academic databases such as Scopus, focusing on English-language publications from 1988 to 2024. The findings reveal that traditional medicine extends beyond physical healing, emphasizing harmony between humans, nature, and spiritual forces. Despite the influence of modern medical practices, traditional healing remains integral to healthcare, offering alternative approaches to various health concerns. The study underscores the importance of preserving traditional knowledge through systematic documentation and scientific inquiry while highlighting the potential for integrating traditional and modern medicine to develop a more holistic healthcare approach. By deepening the understanding of the cultural and health values inherent in traditional healing, this study promotes its sustainability amid globalization.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions for A3 Fresh O2 bottled drinking water (AMDK) in Bondowoso Regency, with a particular focus on the strategic roles of price and promotion, as well as the mediating effect of consumer trust. The research is motivated by observed fluctuations in sales volume over recent years, indicating market instability. Using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), data were collected through a purposive sampling method involving 190 respondents. The study instrument was designed to capture the relationships among price, promotion, trust, and purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that price and promotion significantly influence both trust and purchasing decisions. Furthermore, consumer trust effectively mediates these relationships, although direct influences remain more dominant than indirect ones. The study offers managerial implications including the need for enhanced digital promotion, transparent product information, competitive pricing, and loyalty programs. Future research is encouraged to include additional variables such as brand loyalty and brand image to gain deeper insights into consumer behavior

Abstract

Tasikmalaya Regency faces significant obstacles in the provision of clean water, especially in areas that are prone to drought during the dry season. Although the central and provincial governments have provided assistance in the form of drilled wells, until now there is no integrated data collection system available to map the exact location of drilled wells. This research aims to create innovations in public services related to the provision of clean water by developing information technology-based drilled well mapping (Deep Well Map) so that groundwater management can be carried out more efficiently. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews with village heads in 11 villages receiving drilled well assistance, and data triangulation to ensure the accuracy of the information collected. The results of the study show that the use of information technology in drilling well mapping can produce more systematic data on the distribution of wells, technical conditions, and the level of damage that occurs. This data is then packaged in the form of a web-based digital map that can be accessed online through the blogger platform. The existence of this digital map makes it easier for local governments to maintain and repair damaged drilled wells. In addition, this mapping also contributes to more targeted policy making related to groundwater management. This innovation is expected to be a sustainable solution in meeting the needs of clean water and improving the quality of public services in Tasikmalaya Regency.

Abstract

Gunung Dago Nature Tourism, located in Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency, West Java, is a nature-based tourist destination officially opened on January 1, 2019. As a tourism attraction requiring a sustainable promotional strategy, the management has implemented digital marketing through various social media platforms. However, despite utilizing online media for branding and promotion, the number of tourist visits has not increased significantly and has even declined. This contradicts previous research findings, which suggest that optimizing digital marketing in tourism promotion can significantly increase visitor numbers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing as a promotional strategy for Gunung Dago tourism. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, with informants selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that digital marketing is carried out through social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Additionally, an official website is available; however, its management falls under the authority of the Bogor Regency Government, resulting in suboptimal utilization. The implementation of digital marketing in Gunung Dago still faces challenges, primarily due to the management's heavy reliance on Instagram as the primary promotional medium, while the website remains underutilized. The main obstacles identified include limited human resource capabilities in managing various digital platforms. Therefore, technology-based training for tourism managers and the provision of supporting infrastructure are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

The rapid development of cryptocurrency investment has raised concerns regarding its impact on economic stability, particularly in emerging markets. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review and library research to analyze the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments and their implications for financial stability. This research identifies key risk factors, including market volatility, regulatory uncertainty, cybersecurity threats, and financial system disruptions by examining existing scholarly works, regulatory frameworks, and market trends. The findings indicate that cryptocurrency investments offer opportunities for financial inclusion and economic diversification but also pose significant risks to economic stability due to price fluctuations and speculative behavior. Furthermore, the lack of a unified regulatory framework across different countries exacerbates these risks, leading to potential financial instability in emerging economies. The study highlights the necessity of regulatory intervention and policy formulation to mitigate these risks while harnessing the benefits of cryptocurrency investments. Governments and financial institutions in emerging markets must establish robust risk management strategies and regulatory frameworks to balance innovation and financial stability. This research contributes to the academic discourse by providing a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between cryptocurrency investments and economic stability in emerging markets. Future research should focus on empirical case studies to further explore the long-term effects of cryptocurrency investments on financial stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the selling price of palm sap brown sugar in Pegajahan District using the plus cost price method. Palm sap brown sugar is a processed product that has high economic value and is in great demand by the public, both for direct consumption and as an industrial raw material. However, selling prices that often fluctuate are a challenge for producers in determining reasonable and profitable prices. This study identifies the costs involved in the production process of palm sap brown sugar, such as raw material costs, labor, and other costs, as well as determining the feasible profit margin to set the selling price of the product. The cost plus price method is used to calculate the selling price by adding the corresponding profit margin to the total cost of production. The results of this study are expected to provide useful recommendations for palm sap brown sugar producers in Pegajahan District in determining the optimal selling price, as well as contributing to local economic development. In addition, this study also provides insight into the cost efficiency in palm sap brown sugar production in the area.
