Abstract

This research aims to determine students' reading skills at SDN 04 Lawang Mandahiling through the calistung approach. The method used is classroom action research involving selected class students as research subjects. Data was collected through reading tests and observations during several research cycles. The research results showed that the application of the calistung approach succeeded in improving students' reading skills significantly. These findings provide important recommendations for teachers and schools in efforts to improve students' reading skills at the elementary school level. Keywords: Literacy movement, descriptive quantitative   ABSTRAK Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan membaca siswa di SDN 04 Lawang Mandahiling melalui pendekatan calistung. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kuantitatif dengan melibatkan siswa kelas yang dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca dan observasi selama beberapa siklus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan calistung berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa secara signifikan. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi penting untuk guru dan sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa di tingkat SD.             Kata kunci: Development of Students' Reading Skills at SDN 04 Lawang Mandahiling, Calistung Approach

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena kurang nya pemahaman hadist di dalam kalangan remaja  sehingga dapat mempengaruhi implementasi nilai-nilai islam dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman hadist di kalangan remaja melalui program pendidikan Islam di Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (TPQ) Baitullah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pengajaran yang diterapkan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat remaja terhadap hadist. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa program pendidikan Islam di TPQ Baitullah efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman hadist remaja, yang pada gilirannya dapat berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter Islami yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This service is motivated by the understanding of the importance of character building and creativity for children in loving local culture, especially the art of wayang kulit, whose existence is increasingly forgotten by the current generation. The onslaught of the current era, the characters that appear on television, social media are often not in accordance with the period of their character formation and are not in accordance with the culture that has been formed by their predecessors, especially Javanese culture. Therefore, this service is important to be carried out with the aim of introducing characters in wayang and instilling creativity and a sense of love for their own culture. The hope with this service is that children understand and are able to emulate the characters of the figures in wayang. This activity was carried out at SDN 02 Mekarsari and SDN 03 Mekarsari, Cipari District, Cilacap Regency, with a target of 20 students. Based on the evaluation results, the service received a positive response and achieved satisfactory results, with indicators that students were able to follow the activities until the end and dared to make physical contact holding the wayang and were able to make wayang from cardboard in order to develop children's motor skills.

Abstract

The book "Super Fast Learning Calistung" is specifically designed to help children learn the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic (calistung) in a fun, effective and interactive way. This book presents a variety of activities and exercises arranged in a structured manner, making it easier for children to understand the concept of calistung from an early age. One of the advantages of this book is its interactive approach and educational games designed to stimulate children's interest in learning, making it a process that is not only educational, but also entertaining. Through an organized learning method, this book not only focuses on children as learners, but also involves parents and teachers as companions in the learning process. The community service approach in Mojodanu Village uses the Service Learning (SL) method, which is carried out in the form of mentoring or tutoring to support learning. The training provided to parents and teachers aims to equip them with the right strategies in accompanying children when using this book, ensuring children can understand the material well and apply calistung skills in everyday life. This book is also designed to increase children's motivation and interest in learning on an ongoing basis, with the hope that they can master calistung skills solidly. With a strong foundation in reading, writing and arithmetic, children are expected to be ready to face further educational challenges and achieve success in the future.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in human life, as it allows individuals to develop their potential and solve various life challenges. According to the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, education aims to develop spiritual abilities, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by individuals and society. However, the limited use of educational media often hinders the achievement of these educational goals, as observed in several educational institutions in the village of Asemgede. The use of lecture methods and minimal teaching aids have resulted in a lack of student enthusiasm for learning. To address this issue, the KKN team organized a training session on creating educational evaluation media using the Wordwall platform. This training aimed to enhance teachers' skills in creating interactive and engaging learning materials and to increase student participation and motivation. Wordwall offers various interactive games that can be used as tools for learning evaluation, which have proven effective in increasing student engagement. The results of the training showed that teachers in Asemgede village were enthusiastic about learning and implementing Wordwall in their teaching practices. Although there were some technical challenges, overall, the training successfully improved the teachers' creativity in evaluating students and stimulated students' enthusiasm for learning. The use of Wordwall media is expected to be further developed in the learning process to improve the quality of education in Asemgede village.

Abstract

Primary education plays a crucial role in building the learning foundation for students, especially at the elementary school level. One of the biggest challenges is maintaining students' learning motivation, which often decreases due to monotonous teaching methods. To address this, innovative learning media such as Smart Boards provide an effective solution. These media can create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience, enhancing students' motivation and engagement. The community service project by Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah (Unwaha) at SDN Ketapangkuning aims to introduce simple Smart Boards, address learning motivation challenges, and provide flood disaster mitigation education relevant to the local environment. The activities involve direct mentoring for teachers and students from grades 4 to 6, along with flood prevention awareness campaigns. As a result, students showed increased learning motivation, with 85% feeling more enthusiastic, and 90% understanding the importance of environmental preservation. Evaluations through questionnaires and discussions indicated positive impacts in both learning and environmental awareness. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources and differences in student understanding, the project significantly contributes to improving education quality and disaster preparedness at SDN Ketapangkuning.

Abstract

TPQ is an informal institution that parents rely on in educating children to learn the Qur'an from an early age. One of the things that is often underestimated in the management of TPQ is the learning process carried out without paying attention to aspects that can affect the character of children's interest and attractiveness to learn and love the Qur'an. Learning that takes place in TPQ seems to use methods, strategies, and learning media that are 'as is' and lack innovation. This problem occurs at TPQ Nurul Ilmiyah. The solution offered is through the innovation of al-Qur'an learning media in the form of Tilawati backsheet props. The implementation of the activity consists of two stages, namely assistance in preparing learning media and implementing media in learning. The results obtained are santri are more enthusiastic in learning because they use interesting media so that it is expected to increase interest and motivation in learning the Qur'an.

Abstract

Education is not only a role of transferring knowledge, but also aims to make students feel experiencing something that makes them understand the essence of themselves, and internalize the values contained in their experience as an ideal concept that will be applied in their lives. The purpose of developing interests and talents is to optimize individual development in areas of interest. The Al-Qur'an Education School (TPQ) is a non-formal educational institution that is not only limited to teaching how to read the Al-Qur'an correctly, but also a place for students to develop their potential. The research was conducted at TPQ Ta'limul Qur'an lil Aulad which is located at the Great Mosque of Baitussalam Purwokerto. The method used is the field research method, which is research whose object is about certain conditions in an area in a community group. The research is included in descriptive qualitative research. Data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. This research uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method by being directly involved in teaching and learning activities at TPQ. Providing guidance programs for developing talents and interests with the right methods, tailored to the problems that exist in students. As well as coaching for educators is carried out by assisting teaching and learning activities so that learning is more varied and able to improve the reading of students properly.

Abstract

Tindakan bullying banyak dilakukan oleh remaja-remaja dilingkungan sekolah. Bullying ini dilakukan seseorang atau kelompok tertentu untuk menyakiti seseorang melalui fisik atau psikologis dan membuat korban trauma dan tertekan. Dilatar belakangi sering terjadinya bullying di sekolahan peneliti mengadakan sosialisasi di MTs Sunan Gunung Jadi Katemas sehingga nantinya para siswa menjadi faham akan bahayanya bullying. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini diharapkan mampu mengurangi atau bahkan menghilangkan tindak bullying yang terjadi di sekolahan. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini adalah perubahan yang terjadi pada pemahaman para peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi di lingkungan sekolahan.

Abstract

The topic of classification of living organisms at the high school level still necessitates practical activities to foster students' kinesthetic skills, in addition to their critical and creative thinking abilities. Utilizing herbarium as a learning medium offers a solution to this challenge. The herbarium-making training aims to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practical engagement. This approach is expected to provide students with diverse learning experiences throughout the educational process. Furthermore, students can also hone their creative thinking skills by participating in this herbarium-making training. This research employed a multi-stage methodology, including preparation, interviews, training, and evaluation. The findings of this study were derived from student response questionnaires regarding their learning experience with the herbarium-making training. The results showed that 100% of students found learning through herbarium creation to be highly enjoyable, and 87% of students indicated that this herbarium-making activity enhanced their hard skills and creative abilities
