Abstract

Objective: The decreasing absorption capacity of vocational education graduates indicates barriers to teaching quality. This Research aims to analyze the factors that influence the quality of vocational learning. Method: This Research uses quantitative methods. The sample is aircraft maintenance engineering students at Aviation Polytechnic. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square. Result: Validation of the research instrument resulted in the loading factor, AVE, Cronbach Alfa, and SRMR meeting the requirements, so the instrument and variables were declared valid and reliable, and the model was declared fit. Lecturer behavior and the quality of learning and learning resources have a direct and significant positive relationship. Meanwhile, management support through learning resources has influenced the quality of learning by 51.0%. Novelty: The quality of learning in vocational education is influenced by the role of lecturer behavior and management support in providing and managing quality learning resources. The collaboration of those three aspects can improve the quality of competency of vocational education graduates. The high competency of aviation vocational education graduates can increase the absorption capacity of graduates in the era of Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze data on the competence of school supervisors in carrying out school principals' performance assessments to create effective education units (Phenomenological Study in Sidoarjo). Method: This research uses a qualitative approach with the research subject, namely the Sidoarjo Regency Education Service supervisor at the Junior High School Level. The data collection technique in this research uses three data collection techniques, namely participant observation, in-depth interviews, and study of documents. Results: The assessment results show that the performance of school principals is critical in realizing an effective school. The school supervisor oversees the school principal's performance appraisal process. They start from collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting data about the quality of the school principal's work according to his duties as a school principal. School supervisors conduct managerial supervision to correct weaknesses in target schools through intensive training. School supervisors are one of the parts that are very influential in improving the quality of education in target schools. School supervisors always try to improve the ability of school management personnel in all aspects in order to obtain optimal quality education. Novelty: This study shows five competencies of school supervisors in carrying out performance assessments of school principals, namely personality, managerial supervision, academic supervision, educational evaluation, research and development, and social competence.

Abstract

Objective: This research analyzes factors influencing quality teaching to create complex skill competency (HSC) and soft skill competency (SSC) in education vocational graduates. Aviation vocational education produces aviation experts who can compete in the era of the global market. HSC is a technical skill, and SSC is an individual's interpersonal skill. The quality of vocational teaching has a vital role in creating graduate performance. Method: This research studies quantitative with a survey method. Samples are Aircraft Engineering students - Aviation Polytechnic in Indonesia, as many as 229 people—data retrieval using instrument research that has been fulfilled with validity and reliability tests. Analysis of research data uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Result: This research shows that the formation performance of graduates (HSC and SSC) is determined by quality teaching. Lecturer Characteristics, Teaching Methods, and Laboratory Technicians are essential for increasing teaching quality in the formation of HSC—currently, SSC is developing through the pattern parenting student method. Students' success, integrity, and interpersonal skills reflect SSC. So that graduates are ready to compete in the job market. Novelty: Develop lecturers' characteristics and laboratory technicians to significantly increase the quality of education and prepare students to enter the world of work with relevant skills.

Abstract

Objective: Differentiation is a well-recognized strategy that assists teachers in addressing the needs of students with varying abilities in a classroom of students with different characteristics. The research investigates the impact of differentiation learning, adversity intelligence, and peer tutoring on student learning outcomes. Method: This research employs a statistical survey approach to guarantee outcome accuracy. The researchers employed a partial least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM) to determine the values of latent variables to make predictions. The questionnaire was used as the data-gathering tool in this study. The investigation occurred at a vocational high school in Serang Regency in Banten Province, Indonesia. Were 250 students in the vocational high school in Serang Regency, Indonesia. The sampling procedure was conducted using a random approach. Results: The statistical study of the structural model indicates a considerable positive link between differentiated learning and adversity intelligence. Adversity intelligence and peer tutoring were positively correlated. Differentiated learning is positively correlated with learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are positively correlated with peer tutoring. Novelty: This research presents novelty research that combines differentiated learning, adversity intelligence, and peer tutoring to examine their impact on student learning outcomes. This research is novel in its attempt to incorporate multiple variables into a single unit for investigation and exploration. This research is intriguing due to variations in emphasis, research participants, and incorporation of research factors compared to earlier studies.

Abstract

Objective: This Research aims to ascertain the relationship between school principal leadership, academic supervision, and achievement motivation on teacher performance. Method: This Research employs a statistical survey methodology to guarantee the precision of the findings. To provide forecasts, researchers used the partial least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM) to ascertain the magnitude of latent variables. The research utilized the Smart PLS. The investigation occurred at a public elementary school in Tangerang, Indonesia's Banten province. Two hundred fifty elementary school teachers from Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia, were selected as the research sample. A random sampling method was employed to conduct the sampling. Results: This research presents four noteworthy and statistically significant findings, building upon earlier research and discussion. An important factor is the direct connection between the principal's leadership and academic supervision, which exhibits a positive association. The principal's leadership has a direct and beneficial impact on teacher performance. There is a positive association between academic supervision and teacher performance. There is a positive association between achievement motivation and teacher performance. Novelty: This research presents novelty research that combines the variables of achievement motivation, academic supervision, principal leadership, and teacher performance into a single research topic. Furthermore, the current research distinguishes itself from prior investigations through its research emphasis, subjects, and participants. This research is novel in its attempt to incorporate multiple variables into a single unit for investigation and exploration. This research is intriguing due to variations in emphasis, research participants, and incorporation of research factors compared to earlier research.

Abstract

Objective: The study aimed to investigate the effect of using the SOLO taxonomy levels on Prince Faisal Technical College students' acquisition of coordinate geometry concepts. To achieve the study's objective, Method: The researcher developed a test of acquisition of coordinate geometry concepts. The study used the semi-experimental approach with a pre-post design, and it was applied to (51) students from the college, who were divided into two groups: one experimental (25) student studied using the SOLO taxonomy levels, and the other controlled (26) students studied in the usual way. Results showed a positive effect of using the SOLO taxonomy as a strategy for teaching mathematics, especially in students' acquisition of concepts of coordinate geometry. The study recommended using the SOLO Taxonomy levels on students' acquisition of mathematical concepts in other fields such as algebra, statistics, etc. Novelty: This research presents novelty through the use of Solo taxonomy levels of classification in teaching mathematics, designing a teaching strategy to enable students to acquire concepts of coordinate geometry so that it is easy for teachers to implement this strategy in teaching mathematics.
